Any idea why animation doesn't work on battles 99% of the time, and usually only the Defending message comes up? It is also make Defense games hard to play -- huge graphic delay and little or no animation. Not having this problem with anything else.

Taidel.
When you see 68% chance to hit, it isn't a guaranteed hit every two turns. Instead, it resets after every move. When you miss, the next turn's chances of hitting are also 68%. It's giving you a general range of your possibility of hitting. This is where the dice rolling comes in.
If you roll a regular dice, and you have 3 of the sides marked, would you say that you will always roll one of the marked sides after every two rolls? No. It's a 50/50 chances, but after every roll, it resets back to a 50/50 chance again.
You're just really unlucky to supposedly miss 30 times, though that's almost as lucky as hitting 30 times in a row.

what's the point of the game after you beat the devil (or angel) in the end? are you supposed to beat the dungeon of mystery?

Reducing the page zoom to 50% and turning off the sound make the battles and movement much faster. That's just my opinion though.

@Ronac The "buyback" System is in the 3rd game of the series so... yeah... You can buy back anything you didn't want to sell ^_^

For some reason I cannot play any games on kongregate at the moment because they won't load. Everything else but the one site I want works.
That would be my luck.

Geez, it's agonizingly painful to play this after you've already played the more recent Arkandian sequel. But it's really great to see how many of the user's suggestions the dev incorporated into the sequel. Great job!!

Still wondering how can i drink hundreds of potions without experiencing bloat and didn't have to go to the bathroom after eating thousands of breads

@arekkuso: thats cool, everyone of us enjoy the game in diferent ways. at the time of my previous post i could hardly fight vs chaos mages, and now i beat the whole dungeon with ease getting about 40k per go. I agree with you that food is not particulary necesary to beat the game, and fairly expensive to get the skill high enough. But i am crazy enough to enjoy it :), and you cant be wrong with raising your health/mana either. Cheers fellow player~

Well, I saw this game through to the end and for something that's as simple as one-on-one combat, I was engaged enough to keep leveling up my character to see how far he'll get. He's a total champion of the ascended now. It might take some grinding and is somewhat repetitive, but this is a very complex system you set up with some interesting quirks. I can't wait to see how Chapter 2 goes. 5/5

@aghloe - I can say for most of the players, money is easy because they sit around in the mystery dungeon, which is pretty easy. I've been making my money through my old favorite, the merchant. I go through whatever until my inventory is full, store the potions, and then sell everything else(I've got pretty cool items, so I hardly ever switch out.) My strategy leaves me poor, unlike you, and makes the game much more challenging. It's all a game for me. I take the hardest route possible just because I know I will get bored before I beat the game, and never beat it because of that. I understand most here are probably thinking I am crazy, and will likely down vote this, but it's my personal opinion.

Advice: 1) be a mage, it makes for an easy endgame. Due to Strategies of Timald and multiple oils of enhancement (see the wiki for recipes). You do need to get blacksmithing, alchemy, and artistry all up to 1k. 2) Don't go below 250 gold when buying things except at the start. Use that money to go to the dungeon of mystery, clearing a few floors gets you more than your money's worth back and might net you a few artifacts too. I generally get 10k on a bad run there.

@arekkuso: well, based on your efficiency each resource may costs from 4gp up to 45gp, (40 to 450 if rare) which i consider fairly cheap since you can easely get way over 10k in a dungeon of mystery

@arekkuso thank you for answering. I haven't found the boost food yet, but other than that finding food seems useless

@SkeleBrothers - The food is for crafting other foods items that can be used to 1.) change the color of your hair, armor, weapon, etc.
2.) I'm pretty sure there are two foods that can a.)boost your health. b.) boost your mana... Past that, food really has no real use. Plus, the cooking is expensive as crap.

@NathanMouse - Well, the prologue (Where you choose responses) is to pick your stats, starting equipment, and other things like that. The unbeatable battle that follows is a tutorial on how to fight. As for the other part, I have no idea. That's happened to me as well.

Some minor gripes: 1) The "hopeless boss fight" at the start and the multiple-choice paths leading up to it seem pointless; why ask the player about what equipment he packed if you're going to rob him of all of it faster than it took to select? 2) Unusable crafting recipes. I wasted thousands of gold pieces on alchemy handbooks only to learn that the recipe for crafting the potions to raise my max mana were still worthless; what's the point of saying "this is how you make something" when max skill still means 100% failure?
