This is a great game, but is incredibly lagtastic. :/ half the time I have to quit in the middle of a quest and restart just to get it to work.

I really hate games that start out with an unwinnable battle as if that was a useful prat of a reasonable storyline. : Here, you died... now go on a quest.

If only we could use the mouse in the dungeon areas, that way we could click on the spot we want to walk to instead of fighting with the keyboard.

If Skill Gain is learning, it should be reflected in the Library.
If it's something different, put something in the library about learning?

Many pencil-and-paper games, such as Dungeons & Dragons, use dice to randomly determine accuracy, damage, amount of loot found, etc. "3D6" means "three six-sided dice". When three or more dice are used, this creates a bell curve; the results near the middle show up more often than the very high or very low ones. To figure out the average, add one to the size of each die, multiply by how many dice you have, and finally divide by two. So, 3D6 would have an average of: 6+1=7, 7*3=21, 21/2=10.5, so a 3D6 weapon should do around 9 to 12 damage each time it hits.

Upon my victory over the Forces of Evil, I shall throw my weapons to the ground and lift my hands to the air... thereby leaving me open for the cheap shot from the thief lurking in the corner.

It's kind of funny, but I tend to be very superstitious about the buttons in these games. Like, if you click it in one spot, and you make the attack, you never move the mouse from that spot, or your next attack is 75% more likely to miss. It's a weird superstition, but I like how it tends to prove right 95% of the time.

Defense quests: by the time I can afford to place a unit I'm almost finished killing. I hope the gold for placing units becomes less of an issue further into the quests because right now it seems kinda pointless.

1 Star. As old as a game can be, I can't caution 5D6 resulting in 31, and I have no mercy for games that don't allow the use of spells like heal outside of battles.
And let's not even talk about the somewhat vague difficulty rating of the dungeons, or the overpoweredness of Chaos Mages. Those foes take less damage and hit harder with their light attack than warrior with their heavy ones, PLUS they block attacks. MAGES WITH SHIELDS, WHAT THE F*CK IS WRONG WITH YOU.

4) You could merge the defense quests with the campaign quests..I think that would make the game less repetitive..
5) When equipping an item, it would be cool to be able to compare what we're wearing with the item we're seeing....
Anyway, I know this is free and that I'm the one who chose to play it...so still, thank you for your efforts.

I feel this game could be SO much better. I think you tried to build a long history with a lot of side quests and forgot about making the game user-friendly. Despite playing a lot of games, this was the one that irritated me the most and I think that just by changing some things it could improve a lot:
1) Why do I have to click to open chests? Just open it already...the game is already way too long and I still have to click every and each one of them after the battles and in the map..that could be avoided..
2) Being able to use keyboard shortcuts to attack would be so much easier and helpful too..this with the chests and all the repetition made my fingers hurt..
3) Fix the probability of hitting. You already change it depending on the strenght of the monster we're facing. So if it says 80%, I should be able to hit it 8 times out of 10...and not 5 times...it is often misleading..

naked on floor 13 of mystery dungeon and I am still punching them more often then they hurt me... so much for using 100 health pots.

@quindraco, you are playing it wrong then. use the "infinite" dungeon to get gold, and keep at least 250 gold when you buy things.

I used to like these games, but the combat is so tedious. Either make a faster animation, or stop animating it at all. Also, is it only possible to use my bow on enemies who are diagonal from me, or was I just having bad luck with the guy directly in front of me?

It reminds me of adventure quest, but with a ridiculously evil rng. Also it is nearly impossible to judge dungeon difficulty until you walk into one and die. Which, what is with losing max health after death? "Oh, you just died, here let me make it even harder for you!" Because that makes a lot of sense... loss of inventory items, equipment, and money would make it plenty hard enough without making it feel like it's pointless to keep trying after death. Also the crafting system is not very intuitive, I would've never figured out some recipes without google.

For those of you who don't know, "D" means dice. So 1D18 means they roll one 18 sided dice, giving you a chance of 1-18. 3d6 is better, because they roll three SIX sided dice, giving you a chance of 3-18

I'm a ginger. I'm (hopefully) understandably frustrated when a game doesn't let me make a character with my hair colour.

I'm sorry if this is a stupid question but how to know which weapon has higher damage? I don't understand the way the stat is shown for weapon. For example, which one is stronger: a 2D10 bow and a 3D4 bow, and how to know?
