Under rating threshold (show) Conquered! Every thing in shop bought and every mission cleared. I found a bug btw. You can attack an enemy again after you already deal a killing blow. Just make sure you have 2 turns when you make your initial attack to finish him off. Hitting him again gives you more loot if your over 100 treasure. To make this bug worse, if you use Sneak Attack before you attack, you can attack a 3rd time! If you get the max 60 green mana and the 96 rage from shop and gear, you can Sneak, attack, sneak, attack, sneak, attack ect. and rack up a TON OF LOOT. I would come back from heavens gate or whatever with a page and a half of loot to sell.

Under rating threshold (show) Most games of this kind allow the player to idly level up a single trait to easily beat the rest, but EoA manages to keep a good balance between selling to get power and battling to sell better. I gave this game a 4/5 for being colorful and quite original. Then I learnt how to combine my spells into complex combos and 5/5 wasn't enough.

Under rating threshold (show) The debt aspect is what provided the real challenge and set it apart from a simple shop managment sim. You had to fully think through how much to spend on debt verses the general perks, and if a perk would help or hinder the debt payment in the long run. This was the strategy of the game, not to mention I was looking forward to the payoff (pun intended) when the debt was paid.

Under rating threshold (show) I dont think the interest rate was high. Sure you might not be able to keep up with it at the start of the game, but I dont think your supposed to. Your supposed to upgrade your shop to earn more money to pay off the loan. Without the high interest rate the shop is useless.

Under rating threshold (show) actually the best way to farm loot is to use the two abilities that allow you to attack without using a turn (cold snap and sneak attack) once an enemy has low hp, 1 shot them on the start of your turn. Then use cold snap and sneak attack over and over to keep getting loot from the same dead enemy

Jan. 10, 2020

Under rating threshold (show) If you have a turn left, hitting an enemy after they are already dead will give you their loot drops again, including gold. This is especially useful with spells like Cold Snap, because you can farm an enemy 5 or 6 times without needing to repeat the level. Combine this with the shop to get a ton of gold.

Under rating threshold (show) Adding to @linty's advice, once you obtain the Sneak Attack spell and cast it during your first move, you can kill the enemy THREE times! You'll need it to grind everything up for Unholy Temple and beyond!

Under rating threshold (show) Not sure I'm digging the new method of fighting. It makes fights take a long time, 24 adventures would be painfully long. The debt thing makes almost all your winnings at the beginning just go to interest and the shop is a little lame at the beginning too. It generally costs more to pay interest on the shop than you expect to make.

Under rating threshold (show) Only complaint is that for some of the adventures, it seems that getting only a few above 100 treasure gems doesn't give the fourth treasure, only by going well over (for me around 50-60 over) does the adventure give the fourth treasure.

Under rating threshold (show) Honestly, I really really want to give this 5/5, but I just can't. It's pretty grindy, which isn't necessarily bad, but the game just feels sloppy somehow. Maybe it's the Impact text, or that you can enter debt in octal, or that each enemy has a treasure counter that never starts at 0 when it should, or that you can make matches in-between waves, or the weird difficulty jumps, or poorly documented spells/features.

Under rating threshold (show) My winning strategy for the hard badge: Spells: all the storms + Sneak attack + Wealth. Weapon: Angelic Bow. Equipment with damage bonus. You don't need Warlord or Planned Assault to win, because they may fill the grid with coins and treasures you can't remove. Use storms to get as much mana as possible, but try first to get as much four and five in a row as you can. When you see too much gold on the screen, or you can get some four and five in a row bonuses with coins converted with treasures, use wealth. Once your poison mana is full, attack the enemies with sneak attacks repeatedly. Don't worry about rage, with all the combos your rage bar will be always full. All the combos will heal you too, so you should be still alive even at the end of Realm of Chaos. Have fun!

Under rating threshold (show) I've noticed that in this game, randomly killing stuff seems to be not only profitable, as it is in any game, but also an accepted business practice. I have a terrible feeling that you're going to inadvertently create the nerdiest street gang ever.

Under rating threshold (show) There is a large amount of errors in the game, either by tooltip or functionality, impossible to know which without knowing the intention of creation. Such things as: -Armor reduces damage from spells, not just Physical Attacks as listed by tooltip -The various 'Storm' spells (Fire, Ice, Energy, Poison) also deal 1 damage to the opponent for each gem they clear. This is not listed on spell description. -The shop augmentations for gems matched (+10% income to Fire/Energy/Cold/Fire/Rage/Gold) also grant an increase in gems collected from spells that gather them. This is not listed in description. -Damage increases from gear also affect spell damage, not just weapon damage as listed on the Tooltip. These are the errors I noticed that I can remember off the top of my head, might be more.

Under rating threshold (show) I don't know what DarkBlood1 is getting voted down. I don't agree with the 2/5, but it is slow as hell. I don't mind games that SHOULD be CPU-intensive being this laggy, but there is just no reason for a game like this to be this slow. I don't know if it's sloppy coding or what, but it sure as hell isn't the graphics he's been reusing since at least My Pet Protector.

Under rating threshold (show) pro tip: if you have 2 turns left and your next attack is going to be the killing blow make sure you have enough mana for another attack because when you click fast enough after you killed the enemy you are able to kill him twice and therefore gaining 2 times the loot! + so everyone can see this
