Why the hell are they putting the BotD on old games like this that by today's standards are so bad? I understand that at the time it was a great game (hell, I wasted a lot of time on this game back before it had badges) but now it is horrible when compared to newer games...

For me, the 40 wave easy marathon (maybe other levels) wasn't that hard if you just have a balance between all four elemental mages with a few warriors.

This is not my first visit to the kingdom of Arkandia. Why is it so laggy? Other than the background image, it is the same game (actually, I like the old level up system, actually whole game better than this). I can't put up with the lag, so this I'm not going to investigate further. Hopefully you still have the old version on other sites.

Seeing these games come back through badge of the day really does show how far along flash games have come just in the last few years. This was one of Kong's most popular games when it came out, but now it's getting berated in most all of the new comments since it doesn't have features that weren't even realistically possible back then.

The only way to avoid death lag is to have mobs die via poison. They'll quietly blip off the screen without the lag and blood splatter for some reason. This is my third map for the botd. I think the last two maps, I'm going super heavy on poison with a couple fire mages and a slowing mage

My suggestion to get the BoTD would be to skip the Marathon Easy level and move on to the first Medium level instead. It is far less time consuming, and notably easier (Or maybe it just seemed that way).

I've noticed after a certain point, I can no longer click on my forces to level them. That is affecting my ability to win maps. Is there an auto-level?

All of you guys complaining about this game might try to realize this came out 6 years ago. Check out some of his most recent games. This was the first one that was made so expect it to have problems, then move on with your lives.

Every time I come back to Protector, I am stumped trying to figure out why they took out fast forward and wave previews. Before, it was an unforgiving, slow-paced planning challenge that tested your wits. Now, you play 10 minutes blindly picking elements, hoping the final waves aren't going to heal off your best mages. They don't expect us to sit through 40 glacial waves writing down the elements for a second run, do they? It's like playing rock-paper-scissors with one move per minute. What's the point?

This was the game that brought me to Kongregate! I love reading the complaints by people who expect a six year old game to have all the same features as a modern game. Recognize a legendary game folks.

No fast forward.... No sell tower..... 20 hours of gameplay.....due to slow moving gameplay..... "plays first map, this might be okay.... Plays second map.... Bored so so bored................." 0/5 stars for being the most boring TD game I have ever played

The medium badge takes way to long to get and the game is too slow and boring to actualy play not worth it... i have no idea how this game got a good rating 3/5
