@wemancooler Why not? You use 5 purple Mages in a battle - and that`s it.
After you gained some skill points by finishing some Maps, you can replay any (easy) map. just re-order the Skillpoints to a Paladin and finsih a Map with paladins. Then re-order the Skillpoints, so that you can hire Necs. And play again an easy-Map with Necs within the Game. That`s it, to gain the Medium Badge.

There really should be a speed up button. It takes way too long to finish a level. I do love the graphics and everything else though.

I hate this game. I hate it, I hate everything like it, I hate hate hate hate hate it. What really makes this game so terrible is that it's basically a puzzle game. Not that there's anything wrong with puzzle games--puzzle games are great when done right. "Done right" means, pick up quick, master slow, balance the ability to adjust/adapt with the length of the game. In Protector, you put pieces on a board that you can't remove, the pieces kinda work against each other (see: stacking effects, or the lack thereof), and if you make a mistake (especially on the harder levels), then you basically lose. But unlike most puzzle games, each one of these levels takes an hour to complete. Compared to, say, Tetris, where, yes, you can trap yourself, but the games are only as long as you want them to be. Protector has a horrible balance, and, therefore, is a horrible game.

This game is amazingly boring. I lost interest already during the first level. Why not give it a speed up button?? Then I would change my 1/5 rating to a 5/5.

good game. The animations of the Monsters reminds me of classic 2D-Games like "Flashback" or "Prince of Persia". :=) I don`t think this Game is too slow. It`s well balanced to keep you enough time to level up your mages/fighters within the Game. 4 Stars from me for this really nice Fantasy-Tower Defence. (and still yet more to come - the sequels XD XD)

Guide for the light house (+) to share.
You want cold the cold path. I went 3 down the cold path but 2 cold plus exceptional teacher could work also.
1) Start at the very last tiles, place two cold mages kill the first wave and upgrade them if possible (always generalist).
2) Two more cold mages on the nearest two tiles. (IMPORTANT: don’t upgrade the mages that see the enemies first until the back pair are level three or close)
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
3) On the next tiles on the way back to the start (the corners) place 2 dexters. An in the block in the middle place 1 cold mage and over the next few rounds place two more as required. (IMPORTANT: Don’t just fill the map from here, you have to try and balance the front so some leak to the back but with low enough health so the back guys can kill them)
4) Wait till your back 4 mages are level 4 or very close (Upgraded 3 times the last costing 50g) form here fill the middle with more generalist cold mages and put 2 purple mages on the blocks before the center section (UPGRADE THESE SPECILIST) and upgrade them as soon as you can.
5) At the very start place 2 cold mages (SPECILIST) and upgrade them as soon as possible
6) Congrats you have now filled all tiles.

7) Upgrade everyone until you start to have spare cash (usually when the middle guys are all starting to hit level 5) then tile more blue mages around and BEFORE the center section and two dexters next to the purple specialists (if you place them after the middle they will never level up)
8) Here is how my start was going from the entry to the center part on both sides
[Grass] [Cold specialist] [Grass] [Cold Specialist] [Cold generalist] [Electric specialist]
And on the two corners a Dexter and an Electric specialist
I had this plus 16 cold generalist in the center and nothing could get past and if they did the strong back I established early could take care of any leaks.
I finished with 30+ lives. Sorry about no pics and disorganized info

1) Needs a "sell unit" button 2) Needs a "speed up button" 3) Only allowing units that engage in combat to level up greatly inhibits strategy making; it forces the player to either level up units closer to the entrance first or spread the units out to try and spread out experience, and thus run the risk of losing lives early on.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Figuring out a strategy to beat a level wouldn't be so bad if you didn't have to waste half an hour discovering what did or didn't work. WAYYYYYYYYYYY too slow
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
I would like a move option. I don't think I've seen one in games like this, and it would perhaps make more sense than a sell option- especially since your units are people rather than buildings. Then again, maybe that would be too easy. Moving around to find the best option and putting units up front to gain exp then moving them to the back to prevent escapes.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
game would be alot better with a sell option and fast forward button as it can be a bit slow but other than that i think its a really good game.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
dude, every time you kill a guy, the screen freezes for like 2 seconds. It goes sooooo slow.. (+) if that happens to anyone else.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
If you love tower defense games .... don't even bother with this one ... it takes several hours to beat a map and even though your strategy is amazing, you will get really irritated.

What is the reason of the names? Maybe if there was a group of 4 people on a mission then there is a reason for the names but when you can have up to 25 or more wizards and etc., the names become pretty much insignificant.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
for those saying its long, you can play another game while the wave is on and when you hear the noise of the monsters stop, go back to the game.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
for the medium 20 just build lvl1 fire guys until the map is full (without paving), then upgrade all together. Same for medium 15. Put your skill points in fire and the game beats itself.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
monsters are boring, game to slow, setting is boring, interface isn't user friendly. the game is good, but you could have made so much more with it!
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
I hate this game. I just want the medium badge for best of 08, and can't beat the 5th level, either the easy 40 wave, or medium 20. I've got 4 skill pts. to distribute... Help!
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
I need the medium badge for thebest of 2008 badge thing god damn it (i also do not find it slow at all but the maps are extremly lenghty and take a long time to complete due to amounof waves and mosneters (sad face)).
