You know what's bad in this game? First 12 waves you absolutely need fire mages to kill the damn zombie hordes and then come demons who absorb fire and yer screwed.

You should make upgrading of towers more cost effective. Right now, building more towers is more cost effective but requires paving, and the problem is that they will be exp starved and ineffective in later stages. Thus, you have to rely on the towers that you built early game, but their range is too limited.

This game used to be great but my only problem with it is that they totally removed what helped MAKE this game in other words, the wave preview bar, thats what made this game so addicting and why I could play it for so long, but now its become guess and wait, before i could stand the slow pacing of the game because this allowed me time to plan ahead for the far ahead waves, but now that you removed it it took ALL strategy with it, its now just luck.

Wow… Epic Fail… On one Map, I was setting up an entirely Knight fighting team, and I was doing great! Then, a whole swarm of like 30+ Bats comes in, and I can't do smack about it for the duration of the map—worst of all, I spent the last of my gold upgrading one of my Knights. This is proof of a need for a faster wave button, lol.

Poor design. Towers/units cannot be moved, so it might take you 18/20 waves to find out that you planned poorly for the 19th wave, and there's no recovery. The "immunities" are graphic icons, but the instructions describe the immunities using text, so the player must guess which icon describes which immunity. ("but the icons are obvious!" Obvious to you, maybe, but proper design does not assume the user knows what you know.) Since this is a "tower defense" game, the player spends most of her time idly watching units -- there should be a "fast forward" button to shorten this time, so the player won't be doing something else while waiting for the game to finish it's wave.
How on Earth did this game get into the "best of 2008" list? This isn't even an improvement over last year's Desktop Tower Defence.

"Protector is a game that will steal your free time and leave you feeling happy to have lost it."
No, i'm not happy at all for the time lost on that game ... but I want that stupid "best of 2008" badge. How can this game be in the "best of" list ?????

Awesome game, but needs speed button, the most annoying is when you have a updraged Ice who slows and the wave move even slower... 4/5
