Please disregard last comment. There is a BRIEF message that appears at the bottom of the screen telling you to hit the Space bar to cancel a purchase. Once it's gone though, good luck figuring that out..

Don't click a unit unless you're absolutely sure you want to buy it! You won't be able to continue until you place it somewhere, spending the gold required (assuming you had enough to select it).

Not being able to resell units doesn't make the game harder, it makes the game more tedious as you have to restart the entire map. It would have been better to have roll-over tool-tips than a "protectorpedia": I shouldn't have to read the entire thing before playing the game. I should be able to figure out what the units do as I play the game, but I cannot because the game doesn't really tell me anything making it a guessing game. Then the game won't let me re-sell the unit for what isn't actually a good reason. ESC doesn't deselect anything, but, for some reason, the Spacebar does. No fast-forward option. Really?
Hopefully these design decisions didn't make it into the games that followed this one.

Playing this game and GemCraft Labyrinth at the same time. Both games take up huge amounts of time to get all the badges.

i beat all the maps! 16hours and 18 minutes. Never used special units (except to get the achievement.) Final map is easy. Don't use poison units at all. focus on the entrance ways and copy what you do for both sides. Later on, copy what you did for the bottom sections as well. Mostly use fire units; use ice and energy units for the other portion. So, 2/3 fire and the other 1/3 evenly between ice and energy! NO POISON!!!

It'd be nice to have tool tips appear when you hover over a unit type, so I don't have to go to off-line help or wait until I've deployed and upgraded a unit to see what it does.

The best strategy tip: Build mages from the end(near the exit for monsters) up to the beginning(where monsters spawn or go for the next course). Then all the mages will level equally.

Going by a comment from 2012, less than 2000 people got the hard badge in the last two years. Probably says something about the game...

If you have lags, the tip from Monsters Den works here aswell:
"I know the game runs slowly on Kongregate, but there is a workaround which seems to help. Right-click on the game and select Settings, then set the amount of storage to ‘Unlimited’."

Noticed a pretty stupid flaw, when an enemy has '0 hp' he isn't dead... Last time I checked zero was NO quantity meaning that motherf**ker should have dropped dead.

I love this game! I know this is addressed on their next games, but the only reasons I didn't give it 5* were lack of speed up button, lack of future wave knowledge to plan defense, and inability to remove an errant placed defender.

If you're having major lag for every enemy you kill like I was, right click, go to settings, and allow unlimited storage
