I've been searching for a map where all capitals are on islands and there's i big peace of land in the center. If any of you find one please tell me the map number. :D

steve296: I loaded it back up and going by memory: 1. the hexagon 1 up and 2 to the right from Bologna where you can reach all three ports is the preferred place to move upwards through). 2. Use Blue and Green's advance, don't fight them, let them get in each others and Red's way. 3. Cities towards the top closer to Red's capitol are much more important than others. 4. Focus on Red's capital, move into the capitols attack range with 3 or 4 groups of about 30 so you can strike the capital if Red moves out, circle it to removes tiles from Red, take any and all ports at opportunity, try to steal back upper cities from Blue or Green and use a tiny survivor group to take land tiles in the upper middle. 5. After Red take Zagreb, Asuncion, Bremen (they will be lost again), middle cities, land any 100's on the coast closer to the enemy capitols. I think that was all but I had to try it several times myself, the key word for this map should be "harassment".

GGent: could you please tell me how to beat that map? I've been plowing at it for a week now and I still cant get it. It's ridiculously impossible, the AI is simply not stupid enough to be able to be defeated.

Map 997709. A very good map, as red. many islands and red may have many troops but not a good advantage point. try it! ist a good one.

Ok, I figured it out. Same thing, but it needs some luck. Annex cities to the north and delay the attacks on your capital for as long as you can, and try to flank the red capital from the east, through the water. The AI is stupid enough sometimes.

Wow Obaryb & others: well done! Thanks! I didn't think 966510 Violet was possible after trying when steve296 brought it up but I've done it twice now on hard with slightly different approaches (best at 30 turns) without using the motivational speech or treaties (I did not flank red from the east in any of the games but in one I took Milan then headed straight back). NB Purple is Violet (Violetnam).

ya i played on hard. red and purple attacked me at same time but i managed to hold them off while my armies were taking the ports on the west

Ok, I take that back, it's possible but a real pain in the rear. You have to flank the red capital from the east, through the waters.

did u play on hard random? because during iam struggling to conquer green purple is falling into my side and iam ****ed. due to green`s better position u cant conquer him quickly.

sounds good. i have already tried that possibility but i was overhelmed by red and blue. i will try it again this way.

@idirion i know how, what you have to do is sign a pact with red to stall them for a bit then u conquer green to get there supplies. red and purple will work together to attack you. what u do then is defend ur capital while crossing the lake from greens capital towards purples ports. purple will be so busy attacking ur capital that they wont do anything about u capturing there ports. after that you start conquering them there and beating back there offence :)

I actually find it a bit sad whenever the game starts out all green, and due to heavy battles around the place there are only a few green patched, places stained with blood, and if bad enough grave yards. Makes a man think.

when anyone knows how to win at 166458 with blue on hard then tell me. i have tried it several times with different different pacts but always failed -.-

lost at 408481 being red. played on hard and its really hard in fact. teamed up with purple at the beginning but that didnt help much. then i lost really stupid when i didnt stop a 99/80 tank rushing to my capital. sometimes they try to rush really straight to ur capital.

30878 red hard was straightforward and fun with a slightly unusual map (double/serial flank chokepoint to violet which you can eventually outflank all the way round to the bottom)
