Wait... Actually there are 1,000,001 maps. Put an empty string as the map number and prepare for something, well, a little different.

For the people who couldn't sign a pact. Try that when you have more cities then others. The logic is very simple. If you are stronger, your potential enemies are willing to tag along with you.

Suggestions:
Make it where you can select your own color, along with your empire name.
Let it be where you can have a number of selected AI. IE 1 vs 1, or 2-8 players.
Make it when pacts last a certain amount of turns, not just when they attack.
Have a better choice of map such as; lots of water, lots of cities, or just plain, etc.
These are just some.
Don't actually know if they update this game.

It still gets me that the AI of all factions comes after me no matter what they have to go through. Even though all nations are at war. They still have an unspoken agreement to come at the player at all cost.

has anybody noticed the landscape changes as you play? It starts off as a fertile field, but the more u fight, the more it becomes a desert graveyard. So in my case, Redosia, Greenland, and Voiletnam's territories were utterly destroyed, while Bluegaria's, mine, was still completely green. :P

Really going to miss this game once flash shuts down next month. Even a decade later, I still replay this game all the time and it never gets old.

Hm, nice concept and great gameplay, I would add unit types, and maybe rebels. Maybe they could expand upon it with buildings/tech. (4/5)

Well, I totally misjudged those starting positions! I thout Blugaria would be easier so I was saving it for last; I was wrong! Violetnam gets so aggressive... But I won anyway (After a restart with a new strategy)

One of my most favourite strategy games, I have played this for years and enjoy coming back to Hex Empire peridically. Because it is so good :-)
Really happy to see it finally at Kongregate.

If you're playing as Bluegaria on map 254257, you should sign a pact with Violetnam. Conquer all the cities south of you before green gets there, and also take the cities west of you. Help Violetnam kick Redosia out of the mainland, and then send a few tanks to the Redosia capital, and also prepare some tanks to defend yourself from Violetnam. Once Redosia is conquered, Violetnam will attack you, but you can easily kick them out with about 7 tanks. The rest is simple.

Map 129878 is a interesting map. Red and purple, the traditionaly easiest countries, are pinned down by eachther due to a land bridge that prevents violetnam from being taken down a peg. The victor is always green or blue, but is based mostly on who was emplying more clever tactics( I.E. the player)

Another map; 636837 has Bluegaria isolated once again, but not on an island. They are on a small landmass accessible only through one 1-hex wide route. Also, the watermasses in contact with Bluegaria's land do not have any ports, making Bluegaria's capital easily defendable.
