Played it now. It's a pretty solid Missile Command clone, but damn does it get really hard after a while. It's tempting to just shoot missiles everywhere, but that'll leave you vulnerable when you run out. You also have to think about where to put your resources since a destroyed building means wasted upgrades. It's a nice layer of strategy.

I thought Missile Command was hard back in the day. At least they gave you breaks between waves. It quickly devolves from "I'm not letting a single one of these bastards near my base" to "How long can I keep my most effective weapons around" to "I'll focus only on those coming for my main building" to "OMFG RUN AWAY WE'RE ALL GONNA FRIGGIN' DIEEEEE!!!!!"

This version of the arcade missile defense game is ok, but I don't see how it's better. The powers feel like more of a let down at early levels, like the first version of the emp is terrible, the early flak can help, but it just doesn't cut it. The only decent one is the one that gives other bases shields, and even then it's not that great. Not really a better game then the original, just more buttons to press.

Stupid game...make me ruin my BotD streak. Got to 45K once, now I cannot get past 30-32K. Tried just using the main gun, tried the shield, tried shield and flak, tried shield and emp...just gets too hectic and cluttered. One more...try one more time.

What could you be doing on the terminals that takes priority over producing missiles so you and your friends and family will live to see another day?

"Ok guys, nuclear armageddon is right around the corner, what ideas do we have to defend our cities?"
"I built a self-reloading anti-ballistic missile system."
"I build a multi-city distributed shield power generator.
"I built a flak gun, but it shoots randomly and takes all the energy the city can produce to run it for just a few seconds."

Does the EMP disables count towards the medals? Because I disabled hundreds of missiles using it, and didn't even get a bronze "disable" medal.

The high score table isn't useless, the high score stat is just fine and is a number. The reload rate is fine and so is the upgrade cost, I almost always have a surplus at the end of the game.

This is just... too good. Wonderful art, epic music, and game play that is both easy to learn and difficult to master. This has to be the best missile command game ever made. This game is at a state games should strive for.

Yeah, apparently this game has some kind of MAJOR bug when it comes to counting for the badges. The highest counter I have for anything is 4 and the counter for disabled missiles is at 0 no matter how many I have disabled rather than destroyed.

This game is definitly one of my favorite games on Kongregate. The music really kicks in later on, and just sounds so powerful. It reminds me of Soviet music, which is nice to listen to as people rain down death of my factory =]

Bleh. This needs two key additions to be really enjoyable. A blast radius upgrade and being able to buy back destroyed buildings. Or hell even one of these. So many wasted shields and accidental losses from spinning out missiles. >.<

When it's down to your one main base, earning resources is pretty unimportant (once your few main base items are full). Would have liked to be able to bring back dead buildings. Otherwise, a good time. I got 3606 missiles and no badge though :/ 4/5 - great game, need a little more to it.

Great game - reminds me of playing on the old Windows 3.1 back in the day... Upgrades + music make this infinitely more epic.

For those with the black screen no loading bug, I have the solution. Give it enough time to register the flash object is there, right click and click on play. For some reason it appears to not be auto playing, it could be a basic design oversight.

The game is fundamentally unbalanced. Any resources spent not on more missile ammo or shield regen is wasted because you lose all of your other buildings before they can be useful. Missiles need to give more resources, or building specials need to not use shields to activate.
