I have no idea what perception is for, considering that the maps are never more than half a screen away from the start.

As per all the other suggestions: Please give us some counter during the level to complete side goals, or an option to restart the level after you complete it. As a personal touch, I'd say have the goals be displayed per floor after you pick up the map.

the first and third bosses were a little easy. For the final one all you have to do is keep shooting at him. Then hell only use smite which wont hurt you and reloads slower then your shotgun. Easy win.....

This would be rated much higher from me if you could select previously beaten levels or have a restart option to redo a level when you miss something. It's completely ridiculous to have bonus goals to achieve that you can't see exist until after you beat a level and you can't redo a level so you have to restart the ENTIRE GAME and redo everything to get the achievements. That's just not fun.

Unfortunately, this game is too much for my computer, it won't go past the loading screen. As far as rating goes, I'm going 3 stars.

Bad that you can't repeat levels, especially that you don't have any ideas if you lost something or not. Also mages are annoying, have to turn on music loud to hear the sounds, otherwise bolt from another dimension can kill you in one hit ;/.

trying to sneak past slugs for the pacifist ending is so frustratingly difficult, makes me wonder if they even tested it to see if it was possible before putting it in there

PRO TIP: Upgrading life fills your life bar, so I recommend only to upgrade health once to withstand zombie attacks and upgrade health only if you are about to die.

you should make the smite so it also goes in the diagnal directions 2....and maybe instead of a single button for shooting use wasd w shoots up s shoots down etc. otherwise a pretty good game

The "complete game without a kill" achievement should be a impossible badge. + if you agree.
PS needs badges + if you agree.

I don't like this game, however that says absolutely nothing about its quality. I don't like this game because of the type of game it is. Top-down shooters aren't my thing, HOWEVER, if that is your thing, this is an AWESOME game.

Very fun retro-style game. I enjoy the upgrades and the graphics (I'm a sucker for pixels), and the twist in the story (about the first explorer) was quite interesting and original as far as I'm concerned. As for criticism, a bit on the short side and a bit easy, if you're pro like me. :P I look forward to more adventures from Dear Explorer, perhaps with more weapons and enemy types?

Easy way to take out First Adventurer: get his attention, run back down to the cannons, stand in the lower left corner (where there are no cannons), and let him shout decidedly empty threats while his own defenses put large, fiery holes in him.

Please add the ability to retry a stage after beating it, I'm scared to go to the exit because I may have missed something!

is there a memory leak or something or idk what? it tends to slow my computer down loading every level... also, how do you shoot? i died to a slug because space is not standard shoot button here

Great game, nicely put together... annoyingly easy to die. Almost froze the game after buying all upgrades, loading times are kinda ridiculous, and got an undefined achievement after finishing the game once at 100% kill after finishing the very first level again. Strange, but certainly something that can be worked on.

The one thing that made me kinda mad was that, even with the map, the monsters would spawn JUST as I walked close enough to get mauled...
