Am I the only one that the game keeps resetting on? Every time I bet certain levels, it resets on me. Like the first time, I bet 1917 it reset, then it did it again.

There is a glitch where the plane releasing gas hurts itself with the gas it is currently releasing. It makes 1948 far more difficult than it needs to be, since you have to restart every time the glitch occurs.

There is a multiplayer version of this game...sort of. It's called Fly or Die. Different creator, yet the same basic idea.

there is an edge to the map and once planes direction arrows disappear beyond it, the plane is gone for good... a little warning would have been nice

If a plane is too heavily armed to take on directly, whittle it down from the edge of your range. If a plane is too fast to outrun, use your maneuverability to avoid it while another plane flanks. It's actually pretty easy if you know the basic strategies.

Loaded fine for me once, but now I simply get a blank screen with "100%" down the bottom. Sometimes, after refreshing, it shows the SteamBirds logo and says "Changing History" as well.

Hmm. Well, so much for fomatting comments... Another design issue is that when the units are all bunched up, it becomes hard to select their icons and to see status. Maybe a separate bar with unit status and select to make it easier? I guess window real estate is an issue...

I like this game a lot, but I see a couple of design flaws:
- The player should easily be able to tell when approaching the deadly map edges - maybe show an interior "soft" boundary based on turning radius. I get that there has to be a limit, but not that the pilot would be blind to it.
- At the end of an engagement, planes just fly straight ahead for a bit, possibly taking damage from poison gas (I think). This when they could easily have avoided damage by turning. Either freeze the board or allow a final maneuver round.

This would be perfect to port to a tablet or smartphone for head-to-head multiplayer. It's exactly what all the tabletop gamers were promised at the dawn of computer strategy games - let the computer handle the rules, you just tell it what you want to do.

OMG? the behemoth is impossible to defeat. level 1945. i can get the spotters without taking damage, but....what is it's weakness?

lol i doubt a plane would be fighting in war for like 50 years, from ww1 to korea is it? or ww2? well its like 40-50 years lol

Desperately need more levels for such an excellent game, but my only problem with it is the way stars are distributed at the end of each level. I ended one level with all 4 of my planes still alive but only received 1 star because they had damage on them. Should get a tad more credit for not having any of my pilots die and not having to send any messages home to their families.

To get the precision badge you have to know when to use the gas and when to run away, then like what karnizero said use that tactic and do not attack from the front.

i don't know why but it's little bit boring for me. Planes should be upgradable with levels and weapons. 3/5 cause i am bored...

The game is not playable near the borders of the map. The action/trajectory selector is outside of the window and thus if you get near the border, you lose.

Your shared output something or other correctly... oh and sort out the lag with the poison gas. that is ticking me off. 2/5. good otherwise.
