Bozotic, I tested in the map editor how much creeper output can blasters kill when an emitter is capped. An output of 10 units once a second needs only two blasters if their nearest delivery collector is put in a safe distance from that emitter. An emitter with the output of 5 units every second can be covered with one blaster (barely, but it works). 4 units per second - easily capped by one blaster. The online game puts out 3 units, only every 1.4 seconds, so one blaster is easily enough to cap each emitter. You only need more than one blaster while you frog leap with them to push your way through to an emitter. Also, you don't need very many mortars. Try minimising the amount of wepons, so you don't need to build so much energy production. Try this challenge: finish 5/31 as you did in your challenge, not moving the city BUT build only 5 blasters for the entire game, and two other weapons ( you can choose 2 drones, or 2 mortars or one of each ). No reactors.

5/31 without movement was easier than I first thought. Just had to develop enough energy production to support the city defenders and 1 drone to keep the right side under control while consolidating. From there my usual brute force methods were sufficient. http://imgur.com/a/cKGfP

In a comment (Jul. 4, 2013) I assumed that the Survival Mode start value 100 is the sum of 5 emitters. Now I created a copy of mission May 22, 2017 to measure how far the creeper flows with various output values. This proved the Survival Mode output 100 is for each emitter, not the sum of 5 emitters. In 2013 I wrote about the output for normal game mode also based on a false assumption based on the game stats chart. The charts "creeper killed" curve jumped at start of survival mode to about 40 times the normal value. I assumed I may divide the 100 output by this 40 to get 2.5 for normal mode output. My measurements now suggest these values for normal mode: OUTPUT START 2 seconds, INTERVAL 1.4 seconds, INTENSITY 3 for each of 5 emitters. Values for Survival Mode: INTERVAL 1.4 seconds, INTENSITY 100 for each of 5 emitters. In the online game emitter output in Survival Mode automatically increases by 100 for each emitter every 15 minutes (incremental increase by 0.1 every 0.9 seconds).

5/15 great for survival mode. hints: build 32 energy production, since depletion can not be higher than 32. you'll need speed nodes and energy storage, too, and many blasters capping the emitters before you switch on survival mode. you can put there some mortars, too, and might wanna play with drones to cover some locations where it's hard to put many blasters. you don't need to cover the map with buildings, but I just like to fill every space with something, like speed nodes and storage :) it looks nice.

5/1 - 16:59 RFI on RKC with 1 move. http://imgur.com/a/gtmJP This one will be good for a video tutorial, but I'll have to delay the voice commentary. Maybe in a few weeks. It takes a lot of work to edit these videos.

@Helper530: If you buy the full game, you can play user-created levels and make them yourself. This is the page with all the user-created maps on Knuckle Cracker's website: https://knucklecracker.com/creeperworld/viewmaps.php

Whew, 5/1 was tough! 27:27 with modified RKC -- no drones, no reactors, move the city just once. My strategy was to stay in a small, defensible area while building up strength, use mortars to keep the deep creeper in check, then conquer the the high ground in a massive rush.

@ramhead2003 Other than changing game speed when you hit the keyboard "up arrow" or "down arrow" keys, I have this hunch: you probably didn't move the city. Put it on higher ground at start. Have a look at my tutorials: http://tiny.cc/cw-tutorials-2016-08-24 ...and... http://tiny.cc/cw-tutorials-2017-04-16

Probably not, ramhead2003. The developer published this game 6 years ago. It's on autopilot; each day's map uses the date as a seed. Maybe you hit the up-arrow, which doubles the game speed (a little indicator will show on the bottom of the screen).

Fellow travelers. I will be taking some time off from our wonderful game. I will be with you in spirit. My thanks to many of you who have made the journey both more fun and enlightening.

I wouldn't call it dedication. You're right about it seeming like a bot, but in a different sense. All humans are almost all the time on the auto pilot of their subconscious brain. He is just on a different auto pilot than we are. It sure isn't dedication. Most likely it is some mixture of envy, self-pity, spite and a false sense of inflating his ego. He lacks empathy. That's part of being a narcissist. This is one possible explanation why he doesn't want to be useful.

I always thought MTargaryen was using a bot to post his comments since they were so repetitive, but his recent comment was clearly written by a human. That puts a new perspective on everything. I'm actually amazed at his dedication. I guess just like some people like to solve the daily crossword puzzle, MTargaryen submits his daily troll comments. Who are we to criticize if that's the way he gets his kicks? Troll on, MTargaryen, troll on.

MTargaryen, don't get me wrong, I'm not upset or pissed about your comments. I respect people who are friendly, so I try to give them some value. I like to help people, because that way I know that I have a reason for healthy self respect. I understand that you are envious of the friendly communication between everyone else here. But it just baffles me how can you feel so worthless that you don't even try to show any value. Do you have any self respect? I feel sorry for you...

4/16 - 5:21 RFI on RKC http://imgur.com/a/Sagnb and a new tutorial with very detailed commentary for 5:26 on this RKC: https://youtu.be/l4-wG0O5O1A?list=PLDuUTUjvbZY0hhByU81RfiIWmNmyifayp with extremely early mortar bombing run, then reload (weapon disarmed) asap and return to bombing run with two mortars. NO need to guard on the city's level with blasters, NO SAMs needed.

I'm glad you liked it :) It was just one recording and then I cut out short parts where I didn't know what to say. That was a lot of work, but I would be really embarrassed if you'd hear those parts :)

Hm... Interesting result. The Rain_King Challenge (RKC) was up to now the fastest strategy to green out the entire map on 4/16. Maybe it's because it's already the 10th time I played 4/16 :) 11:22 on RKC and greenout. Obviously massive RFI if you don't green out the map :)
