I disagree with BIGMANST, i just move odin to high ground and set up a defence that will just hold. I then go MASS REACTOR and a few speeds. With my stuffed up energy i build tons of blasters and drones. this strat has not yet failed me, including the other creeper games.

beat survival mode. not too hard, just load up on reactors and weapons. lots of bombers help, let the creeper build up and try to make it to the totems

If in the beganing of the game you feel you need to move odin go ahead to a reasonably safe distance of coarse. After you have where u want to stay plan out how you advance. What i usually do is make it at high elevations and have blasters guarding where the land elevation im on is. Next i group up some drones for a attack presuming i havnt died yet. Once you think you have enought energy build a FEW reactors. and 2 Storages if u need more feel free to add more but i insist you have 3 speeds and and reactors.Once you have followed my steps plan out how u will advance i usually have drones clear some space and then i quickly build(Tihs is where energy speed is needed)I usually move blasters which i dont use to defend as i build and keep them there. If it comes i need to move odin its either have a good defence where your moveing it or restart...
This has BIGMANST Informing you on how i play.

Excellent game, I have to say! Although I have to admit, seeing some of the handpicked levels from the other games makes some of the dailies seem a little lack-luster. Still, definitely a 4.5/5, if only because of the level design feeling a little...same-y every day.

This makes for fun games, untill you reach the point where you build blasters near emitters to completly stop creep from flowing at all.

Notes for prospective survival moders: There is a point where your depletion will go directly into your deficit regardless of your energy collection and energy reserves. This is about 25-30 depletion. Energy reserves are most effective when you have about 100 max, any more than that will probably not be taken from. Also, you might have already noticed this by now, but packet speed driver effectiveness caps off at about 10 drivers.

Protip: If you take more than 60 minutes to complete the level, Survival mode initiates automatically, whether you've completely dominated the level or not.

man, survival mode is silly. it lets you go to real full scale combat, with bombing runs of drones, and masses of blasters

LOL if you are getting overrun I just move Odin city around, changing its destination before it lands. Extremely dangerous hilarity ensues.

(7 minutes into survival mode) "okay, maybe sticking around wasn't such a great idea. See ya!"
(clicks green circle, gone in seconds)
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
well emitters in survival mode got pretty high 222,5 till it destroyed my system and finisched the game, but to be honest I just came back to check if its still running...

Solder: "Commander, the creeper is advancing! What shall we do?"
Commander: "Just pause the game and gimme a minute to think.."
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
@Eragon: Odin City can only send out 20 packets (or 32 if you build a green storage unit). If you use/need more energy than that you will have a deficit. That's how the game work.

10% More energy vs 10% cheaper to build: For example, if you get 1 energy every second and something costs 100 energy. With +10% energy it will take 100 / 1,1 = 90,9 seconds to get enough energy. With -10% build costs it will take 90/1 = 90 seconds to get enough energy.
tl;dr : -10% build costs is better than +10% energy production

i think that when you have an established system the survival mode is too easy. the emitters need to increase at four times the rate to make it work.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
gypo, with 32 being the max depletion ive got to too, im guessing that the deficit is all the energy needed to top off all guns and finish all buildings. but if you need more than 32 depletion will go up and up until some weapons are destroyed.
i'd like to see a 'priority weapon' option for the guns. having a select few weapons that get allocated part of that 32 energy every time would help a lot!

@kholai, give the MegaCreeper the same amount of time you used to prepare and you will see that the "bug" magically fixes itself.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
I like to start "survival mode" after I've had some time to set up a decent defence, then actually *push* the megacreeper back to get all the totems and escape. Hope they don't fix that "bug", hard mode wins are awesome.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
OK, I had 1229/1260 energy (it didn't change for 20 minutes or so); 48.4 collection; 32 depletion... so how can my deficit be 400+?

I think whiteboard war finally found a way to stop badge hunters. With adding very addicting levels each day, hunting for badges just becomes impossible.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
foced survival is probably there to stop people from creating a huge army or blaster, mortars and drone before going to survival
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
@Tallest: so your saying it takes you 60 min game time to set up?! the survival mode is like a time limit. it kills you if you take to long.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
I do enjoy forced survival because if you still havn't won after one hour you arn't bieing strategically, but just a noob.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Excellent work! We've neutralised the creeper to the point that they're no longer a credible threat. Our infrastructure is solid, we are generating enough power to last here for an indefinite period. Good job, private. Maybe we can rebuild something here. Mission accomplished.
Actually, never mind. Prepare to teleport out of here into an unknown, and almost certainly hostile territory!
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
I do not enjoy forced survival mode, I play strategically and not in a particular rush. Forced survival prevents this. 3/5 Make it optional and I will raise that to 4
