I am getting deficit while having over 990 in storage, and much more collection than depletion (43.7 vs 13-25) hilarious

May 14 is pretty good. It's possible to land on the long outcropping in the middle of the board and make a go from there, but everything has to be just right. Building out from the small platform in the north got me about 13 minutes.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Nah Xorandnotor. May 09 was way tougher, actually. 5-14 is doable in at least 6:17, though I imagine you could probably break 6 minutes without too much difficulty.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Today's board was the toughest in the past two years. It's seldom that I go above the 30:00 mark these days, but I was at 57:03 today.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
8:35 on the May-09 board.
I've only failed in a few speed-tries on May-10's board though... it's a little tougher than it looks at first.

Wow, I'm gone for a week and things get heated... just chill a bit iMiPi. Thecis and Sh33p and dgoodhue give good advice. Just as a benchmark to give someone else something to shoot for, or for someone to better and give me something to shoot for, my first play on the May-09 map was 10:21. (Certainly room for improvement there.) Significantly though for this map I had to adopt/invent a new specific tactic, as opposed to the past say hundred or so I've played. No spoiler, but I wonder if anyone else saw this map as unique in the same regard (?).

I'm not sure what you mean about begging for support or anything mate, I was just referring to the fact that you were asking for opinion by vote up/down. Calling everyone a moron is only going to get you vote downs (logically). By spamming I mean that you are posting several posts right after each other, in forums this is often deleted as "spam." I wasn't referring to the content of your comments. The best place for your hints/tips/times is really in a forum on this site. I'd suggest that you create one there and then leave 1 comment here saying that you have created it/them.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
@Thecis: yeah, right. they didn't rate down just the picture series, but EVERYTHING, and at the most our communication about best times. so, no, you are completely wrong about spamming. it's about childish, stupid envy. what is this message thread for if not talking about the game results or "how to" tips? you think the best post was "yellow" (jhasygirl1234) or "this game sucks" (MariaB41) or what? no kidding, to set up a website? for who? for those who didn't bother to communicate any other way but just generously clicking on the minus rating? or you mean those who didn't care to click or write anything? maybe i would have done something like that, but you all don't deserve any of my time. have your fun ALONE! i'm going to have fun WITH people.

@iMiPi:
Sh33p is right. I have no doubt you mean well but posting over 80 images of really step by step walkthrough of only 1 map is perhaps a bit too much. General hints are really nice but some things are also there to be discovered. The hint about the packets is great. It took me some time to have it figured out as well (about 40 games or so) but it is a real advantage if you know how to.
Help each other is fine. But this is looking like spamming a thread. Perhaps you can set up a website devoted to each map? Perhaps something to look into
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
@IMPI, I don't think that calling people morons is going to win you any support. I personally don't really mind you guys sharing your times etc, but I'd say that most people that play this game have been playing for a long time so probably don't really want hints spammed at them. I doubt it's personal.

1.12, 9803 score. sorry u will just have to not take my word for it! ;) used the skills u just taught me tho. I didnt realise the HQ had packet options and that allowed me to prioritise energy to collectors to improve efficiency. I had realised that 3 collectors placed while HQ is in motion does drop energy to 0 or minus, but your words about how you like to keep to the 0-5 range helps too. Next for me is making the 5-10 min period more efficient as I think my concerntration wavers over that time and drops my efficiency. (and if ur lucky I will DL a screenshot thingy and join in sometimes)

@blim76: you hit the "p" on your keyboard as soon as you see the map. switch off the green spot on the city. place the network: http://img38.imageshack.us/img38/2955/20130430a.jpg hit "p" again, wait until the first 2 collectors are almost built and check if you do have enough energy to built 2 next collectors simultaneously. with 7 you will have a slight energy deficit, or you decide to blow up the collector of the shorter chain while paused, pause off, wait for the first 2-3 build packets of the other collector, pause and put back the deleted collector to have no deficit. on this map it gained 1 sec to not blow up: http://img802.imageshack.us/img802/5514/20130430a2.jpg switch on the green button on the city when the last build packets are sent: http://img849.imageshack.us/img849/7695/20130430b.jpg and be happy about 1:11 this time :) http://img811.imageshack.us/img811/2708/201304300111.jpg http://img829.imageshack.us/img829/9251/201304300111t.jpg

@blim76: thanks! the placement is important, but the timing of each step is at least as much important. tip: plan your energy storage to be in the range 0 to 5 most of the time, and up to minus 2 to 7 rarely. outside this range only if you really need it to make the final punch. the initial buildup has to be in the 0-5 range. hey, do i sound like i care how i sound? :) do you want me to show you screenshots to the steps to get about 1:12?
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
how the heck did you get 1.12 on the 30th??!! I used nearly identical placement several times and got to 1.32. :/ btw you do sound like a prat sometimes but I did want to reply to your comment before... It is helpful to us 'others' seeing the final positions of your maps and also a nice benchmark for challenge. I feel I have learned from the few of you, so thanks. :)

I played it once, iMiPi. I didn't take a board or graph screenshot since it was my first (and only so far) play, but here's my time from the summary screen. If you take my word for it, the April 28 ball is back in your court ;-)

FroztySilva, i don't even understand why anyone rates these texts down. we just talk about the game... if anything, it can help them that i show a map.

Kudos on your Apr-27 time, iMiPi. A third move of OdinCity seems to have been the (brilliant) kicker. An awesome final move, and a very efficient line to the final totem too. Too bad it seems that some raters can't take a challenge as something to try to reach for themselves.

I believe beregon re Apr 27. My first beat was almost exactly the same, both in time and tactics. I thought a second beat (of probably 8 total plays or so) would show considerable improvement, but I only managed to shave another 5 seconds off. I also moved the base twice. http://img819.imageshack.us/img819/6112/cwapr27b.jpg

@iMiPi Prize Plonkers get a discount here. King or queen bed?
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
@blim76: i moved the base 2 times on the april 27 map.
@beragon: GOOD BOY! :D @Gricerocket & MobiusWhitetalon: try to green out the whole map in the shortest time! :) @madestuff: you are totally right, i am a prize plonker :D
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
I still dont believe you beragon, I dont believe anyone who can do better than me and I got 7:35 for that one! Plus your images could be doctored by the fbi or someone like that. ;) ...Seriously though I tried 20 times without moving the base and kudos to anyone who was able to win from there!
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
lol, Beware @MobiusWhitetalon you are in danger of being told "you did nothing unless we may see a screenshot", @iMiPi you really a prize plonker.

cool, and absolutley awesome glitch: when you open the rift, move a weapon next to it. it'll connect up to odin city through the rift.
unfortunately, odin city does not have the capacity to send packets through the rift just yet, but it's a lovely glitch; since, in creeper world 2, you CAN send packets through rifts.
:D

@beragon: as i said earlier - you did nothing unless we may see a screenshot. my 8:06 on April 27 is true. check it out: http://img708.imageshack.us/img708/8579/201304270806t.jpg

@iMiPi @Gricerocket My place, of course. I have seven guest rooms; I own and operate a small hotel. (True story.) "Get a room" happens all the time around here.

@Gricerocket's "At this point I think Frosty and Mipi need to get a room." lol! :D come on, Frozty! your place or mine? :D

Got 7:34 on Apr 27. Started at the left hill and built a single mortar and then just a bunch of reactors. Once I had about 15 of them, built blasters and chained out to get the last totem.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Apr-27 is pretty intense. My first attempt was something horrible like 25 mins. After 5 completions I was able to get it to 11:06. I tried a few starting spots and the middle-left hill gave me the best time. The upper-right hill took a bit longer at about 13 mins, but was a lot easier. After having energy problems I thought maybe the starting spot could get my energy gen up fast enough but it requires too much to defend there.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Your concern is noted, Chronicler. Thanks for the support, iMiPi. How's anyone doing with Apr-27? I knew that one would be a bear.
