@tonyjones24 First, I "liked" your solar laser post. I have never "liked" my own comments (well, maybe once). In general, I like comments by hawk45 (he rules), aronbon, UgAhgIt Hurts, jimmygamer, a few others and iMiPi when he use to play. I even liked dalittleman001's comment as he made me laugh. The intent of my posts and pictures is to improve others' games and my own. In fact, just got 6/6 down to 7:32 after reading aronbon's post. I'll take a few days off from posting as I seem to be upsetting you youngsters (I'm 64). There are very few games which hold my interest over time, this is one of them. I did work at Aristocrat designing casino games and have come to appreciate the designer's intent. Again, I do NOT "like" my own posts, but a few out there do. You kids have fun without me now.

New Idea: Solar Lasers, they don't need ammo, but they have to be connected to a collector, they are exactly like regular blasters but have 1/2 the fire rate

6/7 - 1:43 Using 1 blaster. Perhaps with a SAMba dance, that could be a little faster. Excellent time on the 6th UgAhgItHurts.

6th, skip the other 2 techs, huge amount of time spent for not enough gain. I didn't position well so it was a shaky start, but I got it below 7 minutes. 7th: 2 minutes, one blaster. Both can probably be faster, not sure about the 5th, don't see a better approach.

6/6 - 9:50 Grab all 3 tech upgrades, ending up on the NW hill. Build reactors, then reactors and drones. Relay across valley South and use Odin City for final link to 3rd totem.

And I thought the 5th was bad (10:47, cower in the right top until you have about 7 energy + lots of weaps then attack). 2 approaches to the 6th so far and just not building enough fast enough to hold up...

Seconds before I could position my blasters to suppress the last emitter my time goes over the hour mark and survival mode engages. As I watch my victory turn to dust before me it is as though the good people at knuckle cracker had reached across the void of the internet and cried out "Go do something productive."

okay, got it. start where your base is right at the beginning and build along the small island at the bottom. use mortars to keep the creeper small, and sams to keep yourself safe from the air attacks. build reactors and use blasters to move your way to the north. then kill everything and win. :-)

I like how on some levels, instead of slowly making your way across the map against the creeper, you can just move your base right next to it and take it out faster.

I grabbed the 2 lower tech, built 2 blasters in place filling them completely. Then jumped directly up with 2 blasters and city, capping the first well. It was then a slow build-up of energy. Got it down to 11:42. But you are 3 minutes faster. I'll give it a go your much faster way. Thanks.

5/30 approach: grab tech in crater first (build one on land first, there's time but it's close). Build up the hill, making sure there's a collector at the top that connects where the city fits. Build collectors, then you need 2 blasters to hold. One more blaster is enough to clear and cap the first emitter, and now you're city is where you need it. More blasters, keep the center down with drones, march across top of map.

Pretty much have to cap all 5 anyway unless you want to run all the way around the bottom. I got 8:30 first try, 9 second try...
