It was very very difficult. The whole setup had to be perfectly timed... one second longer and the collector network would have been destroyed. http://tinypic.com/view.php?pic=rauk48&s=5#.UrRQSrRW-3Y

@and1253: all that you could ask for is available in the payed version of the game.
see also: creeper world 2, creeper world 3.

I love this kind of game! simple simple simple, no upgrades, no huge lists of available weapons, just you and the creeper! :)
I have to say this is the best game of its genre I have played so far, 10/10
It would be cool to have a bigger map occasionally, how about a map editor so we can make our own maps to try+we could send them in in the hope that it's good enough to use as a daily map.

This is horrible how this city can only go to the next world, only to be infected by Creeper again and have to escape.

Thanks, Chilese. I think the difference is that I didn't charge the blaster and that I finished the mission with exactly zero energy remaining (timing is important). Take a look at my set up ... http://tinypic.com/view.php?pic=fbfgk3&s=5#.UrDfMmgo7q4

After a long time playing and completely covering the map (controlling the creeper as well) I just leave the area...... Somehow that gives me a feeling of sadness everytime, just leaving my masterpiece alone to die :(

chilese, you need to know how much energy you need to move to the final totem (and how much you'll make while in the air), i.e. if you finish the map with energy remaining, you can probably knock off more time. Also, don't charge the blaster, keep it in the air if it doesn't have much health left. That said, I got it down to 1:44 on the 2nd try but also had like 5 energy left :)

hawk45: I was able to get down to 1:54 for 12/15. I used a fully charged Blaster as the link to the final totem, but don't see how to improve on my time. How do you cut that time down so much? Nicely done.

Here's a little strategy for breaking other people's records for longest mission time: drones (lots of them) can break ANY large wall of creeper with one bomb. Try to put a little more delay between when they return to the base and when you launch them again. This will create a good defense without costing too much energy. I've seen someone last for 97 minutes with 2 drone bases. Who can go for longer with the same number of drones?

@UgAhgItHurts, For 12/15 it is possible to finish with 1:36 by moving Odin south of the hill and connecting it to the totem. This lets you reach the tech with only two collectors. The mission for 12/13 is a bit tougher... I used a single blaster/mortar combo to bridge the totem in the bottom left corner and moved Odin as close as possible to tech upgrade

I'll need to turn in my badges, last 2 or 3 I take about 25% more time on :) Not seeing a way to grab the tech fast enough to make a difference (I finished with like 8 power left, but that's not going to knock off 15 seconds).

Definitely not wrong. I like to play maps and see how long I can survive on survival mode. My best is still at 2 hours 42 minutes. At about 2:20 the network began to break down but I was able to secure the front and hold them back before the energy requirement became too much for 32 packets limit. There is no wrong way to play.

zemega, no storage is like how much you can hold, not how much you can use. Speed is more like what you're talking about, it gets the packets to their place faster. But you can HOLD 32 packets, and if you have a fast enough system, you can use them all at once.
TL;DR kinda, not really

Just to be sure, I noticed that I can only utilise 20 energy packets per second. After building 1 storage, then I can utilise 32 energy packets per second. Am I wrong about this?

@MichaelChandra, nope couldn't find a way save Odin with just mortars without moving it. Too much firepower needed too early with mortars hitting shallows.

Bozotic, have you succeeded in December 9 with that? I tried with Mortars and Collectors but eventually Odin City got swamped, the only way I could do that was by moving Odin City to safety. And even then I needed Reactors, not just Collectors, in order to finish the level.

i would like multiole modes, because given enough time, i can completely control the creeper. just set up 2 blasters for every spawn point and have everything under SAM, and you win.

You don't need to fight on the 8th, just bridge. Could be better still depending on how much a tech is worth: http://i.imgur.com/DRZFCjU.jpg

12/4: 1:54. Land Odin on the middle island, connect the lower totem with collectors, the upper with relays and the last with odin city.

I don't understand how in survival mode, when I've built a crapload of everything, I can have 1100 energy, collection 5 points higher than depletion and still have a deficit.

Good old creeper games feel like there aren't going to me to many more badges now that this one is out here like this... Though I can always hope the side scroller ship one will have more sequels as I recall it was the last one in the series and you were wiping out the creeper not just fleaing for your life.
