You can move the base in this game??? No-o-o-o! I was playing without ever knowing this (and even then, succeeded with The Bowl). To bea The Bowl, expand thinly to the brink of the ditch where creeper accumulates, and slap a blaster/mortar at each end, then fill up middle for energy and start getting ground.

Yeah, the bowl, trying to win requires half your base exploding in the beginning, oh and the relic in it, when it says move, Move, move your base to the left a bit

Awesome game - I was amazed how long some of the missions took without seeming to be long at all. The Bowl was actually not a super challenge, just long (took me just under an hour after failing 1st time). You have to be quick to get a few mortars and blasters to keep the creep at bay in the middle valley, then build up your infrastructure. Anyways, LOVED IT. 5 stars!

Hint for the bowl: Anyone having trouble, rather than staying at the bottom, move your base to the immediate left of the nanotech pod, build 3 collectors and a bloster dead center. begin expanding to the left or right. That one blaster should hold the creeper back. It'll sometimes touch your base or the blaster but then the next reload will drive it back. Now four more, and another blaster and put that at the far left or right of the screen to hold that side's creeper back. Finally, build a mortar while also building one collector, always at least one collector. The creeper on the side you're not focusing on should be spilling over and into the basin, but the mortar will start sucking it back down. Finally, ignore spore attacks, the time wasted on the SAM is better put towards the mortar at first. Just replace the few collectors and carry on. When you are secure and breaking even on power, get a drone.Hit the home of the creeper you aren't engaged with.

Game was Excellent and fun, the only thing its missing is a survival level. the creep get gradually stronger the longer you survive, and you, the player have to monitor and keep them at bay.

Alright! I'm done! I saved the civilization
Congratulations commander you have graduated TRAINING?!
Ffffffffffffffffffuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu-

I beat the game to get all badges, bought the full version, beat that about 5 times 5 different ways, and now I just beat this version again... why? Well... good question.

This game isn't hard, actually it is kind of easy. Build some collectors, not to many because of the lack of energy, prepaire two or three blasters and send them to the creeper, meanwhile build up your base, more collectors, speed ups and reactors. The last mission is a little bit trickier, you must build faster and you need at every corner one blaster so the creepers doesn't overflood your base, after that it is easy.

I'm sorry but I can't even get past the tutorial, I select it and try to drag and drop, to no avail. This makes no sense; I'm sure it's a great game...but one that I will never get to play.

After sitting for houres and sweating and replayed the last level for like 4 times it says "congratulations commander, you have graduated TRAINING"!!!!!! DAFUQ??? So this was only training? Feeling like playing the story? HELL NO O.o!!!!

Why do these people not build some sort of flight gear for their previously set up infrastructures and hang on the prev planets longer and take all their damn firepower with them if they can't be bothered saving a planet atleast don't waste useful guns

I do not know why so many say they have problems with The Bowl. Only time i got into a little trouble, was when i got bored and started building speed and storage like crazy ;-)
Just hurry in the beginning and fill your crater with collectors and put a couple around the edge (4 should be enough to start with).
Then just upgrade your infrastructure and take the points one at a time, by sending like 5 drones, sending a couple of blasters (again 4 should be enough) and connect them with a relay. Rinse and repeat.

I didn't really like it, the history is kind of stupid if we had such an amazing technology why not just make a floating city to doge the creepers, why not just make a space station, or create a shield since our laser can destroy it... i just don't get why humanity was destroyed if now that we are just a leftover we have enough power to at least fight it back (since if we didn't retreat we could keep it at stand by forever)

The difficulty ramp on this is poorly planned out as it went from easy on the first levels to insanely difficult on the last level.

I have the full version and it really has some challenging missions.
... And if this isn't enough, you can play on an even harder mode when you have finished the game. Unique game idea - really great work!

I need some tips on the last level. Should I go straight for the droids? They don't seem to fight too much when I finally get them.

for those that say it takes a whole day to complete, try the full version before suggest a whole day. Each map should only take u 10-15min AT most! if not idk why u are so slow, even then i speak only of course the last map (The Bowl) this one can be done ALOT faster legit. Overall 1-2 hrs, replayability is NOT needed unlike some Botd games that DO infact take upwards of 24hrs to complete

Very nice. I wouldn't pay 10 dollars for this though. It's kongregate. Up in the top left corner... doesn't it say free games?

@KnightMirko: I completely covered the map in Collectors also for all the maps. Anyway, the game has good potential, but once you get past the first 10 minutes and you need to slowly push the enemies up hill and close to the spawn point, it stops being fun due to it taking way to long, so only 2/5 Stars from me. If there was a way to keep the level exciting like it is in the beginning, instead of needing careful precision at the end, it would get 5/5 Stars.

This just isn't entertaining enough for the time required. Also, if the city can fly, why can't I put it wherever the hell I want?
