The only thing wrong with it, that i can complain about, is that its pretty dark in some places but it may be to put in a bigger challenge. I really enjoyed playing this a long time ago and now.

In the last room with the "Dore Bell", in the reflection on the water there is a person on the boat. Such a creepy feel, but in a good way. 5/5 game, very puzzling.

Damnit! .. I'm in the second to last room, with the switches.. but I just can't seem to get into the secret spot! I don't understand it!! It's driving me nuts!! I've seen 3 different walkthroughs and it's the same exact thing, but when I try to go near it, it's like there's an invisible wall preventing me from going into it!

This is the best flash game I have played so far!
Is the bird symbolizes Petes sister? Her voice takes him out from coma?

if you are on chrome and arrow keys don't work : "about:plugin" in your navigating bar, and shut down the shockwave flash of google (first one). Works also for other games...

Looks like a nice entertaining and interesting game but....its lagging bricks here for some reason. Gonna put it aside for now. (Chrome 13.0.782.107)

Graphics: dammit, that's fluid.
Music: mmm.
Performance: it is one of the few flash games which do actually run properly at best quality.
Setting/story: duh.
What the hell else would I want!? 5'd.

This game is amazing i was deeply moved by it for some reason i cannot quite put my finger on, and yes pete does in fact die from the BRAIN TUMOR that Hazel pointed out

3 years i've been in kongregate, hundreds of games, and i just bought kreds for to tip for the first time. Although it asks nothing from me, i recieved so much from this game. beautiful, just speechlessly huntingly beautiful.

Pete definitely dies in the end. The silver shoot is a feeding tube keeping him alive. The worm is his digestive system. The sky (not the basement) represents Pete's brain, which is where the tumor (Mama Gomgassa) is located - putting aside the obvious fact that you have to go "up" to get there, the trees around her look somewhat like neurons. The brain tumor is what causes the disorientation that makes left right and right left. The basement is Pete's heart. The key to his heart is his sister. Turning off the switches stops the heart, then you're dropped down to the gateway to the underworld. Nothing about the boat looks like a hospital bed to me. It has the curved prow and stern of old-fashioned Greek boats, which fits with the Grecian myth where Charon ferries the dead into the underworld. The ringing of the "dore bell" sounds a lot like a bell tolling at a funeral. Also, the text at the end says "thee nd," a subtle way of letting you know that it's not just "the end" but YOUR end.

I dont usually leave comments but I have to say this game was amazing! I hope you make more with the same artistic style that you put into this one!

apparently it's because i'm playing it while using google chrome. I tried it on IE 9 and Firefox and it worked fine. Anyone know if the game just isn't compatible with google chrome? I would think it is something else but I haven't figured it out yet.\

Okay, there's a difference between "dark and moody" and "can't see a damned thing". Developers, please note that not all of us have the same gamma settings on our monitors. In particular, Mac users' screens are often much darker than Windows users' screens.

Wow Thomas. After my brother helped get me going (he played this game before and loved it too) I was fascinated. I was kind of sad though. So creative. Wonderful job Thomas!

It needs and ending where he wakes up with all of his family and friends around him. Like the bird would be his friend, fat simeon the doctor, and everyone would have a place. Also, great game 5/5!

Wow. An amazing game. The way that Thomas Brush makes parts of it tie to the real world and stuff make it very interesting. 4/5. That's pretty good.

@DarknessSOS101 You need to go to his father and talk to him. Jump towards him and Bird will pick up the hook for you. Then walk up to the guy with hypoinflazatory disorder (Fat Simeon?) and he'll ask you to stab him. But really, why would anyone be hanging out in a water draining system?

When I play DEBAB at the start of the game the secret basement door doesn't open. It only magically allows access at the end.

The music that accompanies you throughout the game really makes you feel free in the world. The colours of the graphics also works to that effect. What a beautiful game.
