I seem to come back to this game so many times without searching for it.. I first played it yeaaars ago and eversince i enjoyed every single playthrough .. tho i keep forgetting the song you're supposed to play .. :)

Who ever had the idea of using the arrow keys and the mouse instead of WASD and the mouse?I hate having my hands in a weird position.

This is one beautiful game, but I may have found a glitch. I'd played the game before on armor games and decided to try some things. Playing the song before you learn it, won't work. The big thing I found was that I wanted to see if I could make the game impossible to complete. I tried to squash the fruit and miss the "dore bell" to see if the fruit would forever stay squished but I found it actually reforms. The problem was that Pete went flying and never came back down. :( Let's not die this time, huh Pete?

@MrHedge64: Just a word of advice, if you are going to explain everything in the game to us, at least put a type of "*spoiler*" warning out beforehand, some of us do prefer a sort of mystery and want to figure it out for ourselves, thanks.

Great game and work or art 5/5, i like how you dont know how the game ends, it jsut says that your eyes are opening and that the bird is gonig to see you soon... so judging by my experiance i beleive this: You are ni a coma, and you are in this weird world were everyhting is so bizzare, your dad doesnt do anyhting and is cruel partialy lazy, your sister is gone, your mother (mama) is in the clouds (heaven) but she doesnt want you to leave this palce, she wants you to stay. then theres the bird, he giudes you along, taking yuo further, but when you get closer to your mother in the sky, he urges you to turn back, and then says that she is a lair. he wants you to ring the so-called "doorbell". once you find it, he says he'll see you soon, judging by the comments, i htink it doesnt say wheather he is waknig up or passing on. definitely needs a sort of sequel, mainly because i want to know what happens, are you waking or passing.... i have to know! 5/5

I liked this game, with it's wonderful feel and clever art style. I first played this on [as] and looked for it on Kong, but the constant "follow me" ads and bad platforming really takes away from the authenticity of the game.

I agree with the guy who said there should be an "art games" section as well as all the others. Not enough weird artsy games on Kongregate. Not that there aren't plenty of good games! But it's nice to see a game like this. 5/5 for being interesting and a little creepy :)

This game is a rare masterpiece. Absolutely amazing. A fantastic taste in art and music and a vague and mysterious story that makes you feel in another world. 10/10 (or 5/5 in this case) ;)

Walkthrough:run right untill you get outside and free the bird, run past the house and through redwind field untill you get to the pipe, go down in the pipe ad talk to fattycakes, go back to dad and grab the fishing hook,run back to fattycakes and pop em,go down the pipes to the silver shute through the worm and pop out,grab the orb,go down the pipe and climb the wood, jump on the rope to get to the other side,go through shill bend untill you get to the guy playing the music,DEBAB,go right to the trampoline and jump until you get to the clouds with flowers on them and jump off,talk to mama gomgosa,run back to the kid and eat seeds, jump on the dock to get get back to the house,run to the room with the piano and play DEBAB,go into the basement and hit all the little buttons,go down to the gut stuff,fall down,ring to dore bell,beat game + if this walkthrough helped you!!!

This was an amazing game. The only problem I had with it was the occasional ad for the creator's Facebook and Twitter accounts. That just took too much away from the whimsical wonderfulness this game offers.
Following in the footsteps of ctsr1 by expanding on MrHedge64's reasoning, the guy in the sewer, Fatty Fat Cakes, has hypoinflazatory disorder, the side effects of which include random inflation. This could represent how a child will often remeber things wrong (like "dore") and get wrong impressions from what they remember. Pete may have mistaken a hyperinflammatory response as someone inflating like a balloon.

Sorry for the double post,but i came up with a part 2 to MrHedge64's explanation. Here goes, when you used the trampoline to jump into the sky, Pete was almost about to be gone forever (dead,sorry), however the nurse,as MrGedge64 said, said something like,"Don't you want to play ball with your friends again?" And, when you freed the bird, which was the mother, that was when she arrived to see Pete. And, the reason behind the doorbell thing is that the mother kept saying like,"Come home with me and we can ring the DOORBELL and be happy at home. + this so this is with the first story.

@nbvdr106 I was not spamming, I was stating my review of the game. I adore the game, it's not my fault that people don't appreciate longer comments and take the time to evaluate other people's opinions.
And to reply to your comment: Perhaps he did, but I think it is pretty amazing to use a video game as an art form, which is rarely done, and done as well as this.

For the basement where the bird says"I lied to you" there should be some small black blobs on the ceiling and floor.Collect those things and a small light 'portal' should appear.Go through the portal and collect the black things again.Once all the blobs are gone go to the small space on the bottom of the screen,left of the 'guts' in the middle(you have to break the bridge to get there).Then jump ontop of the small fruit so it splats and touch the flashing "dorebell".Or you could always use a walkthrough...

Really good game. It had a nice blend of vivid beauty and unsettling dread that puts a game like this in a genre of it's own.
I like how the story is open enough to be interpreted numerous ways. I personally think none of the characters represent real life people, but rather facets of his own subconscious. For instance, throughout the game, Pete's main objective is to "ring the dore bell", as evidenced by his own mind telling him (the writing on the walls). Certain characters give guidance and keep him focused and others act as obstacles and dissuade him.
As for Pete living or dying, I think it's left up to the player to decide.
