lovely little pixel platformer with some excellent music. with a couple of improvements, i feel it is gonna be perfect. i agree that its a bit too easy and that the money / shop system needs to be adjusted for more challenge. i also think that coins shouldnt respawn once collected, even if the lvl is replayed. this is quite open to exploitation esp. if there is some good amount of coins early in a lvl where you can replay only a fraction and build up quite a sum.

The game gets boring really fast considering how fast you can buy everything, by level three i was too bored with it to continue

Nice style, perfect controls, but way too easy.
The hardest part actually was the 2nd boss, it was the only time i actually needed those hp upgrades
The weapons should be a lot more expensive

This game gets tedious fast. I'm a big fan of platformers but not this one, Game looks good and has nice controls but it lacks amusement. sorry 2/5

Just add some imagination!Bypass wall guns, mines, boomerang, shields, last-boss-waves,...
Aaand if you make 5 characters make them a little different at least!(i expected the psycho to have some dark uber weapon for example!)

What's so ordinary about moon-walking whilst shooting vicious monsters with a mini-gun you're holding and shooting with only one hand?

You really need to increase the difficulty. I finished the whole game in one sitting, and I didn't die even once. And I suck at these types of games.

Love the style of the game, its just too easy. ITs an awesome base for a game, but upgradeable weapons, maybe even an experience system. Differentiate the characters with unique weapons (ie double jump, dash, grenades, invisibility, earn extra money, etc, etc.) and youve got a real winner on your hands. As a base for a further, more ambitious project this is aces. Also a bit more different music trakcs would be welcomed, i got super annoyed and just listened to my own music after a few levels. 4/5, awesome job! Can't stress enough how much i love the style. More platform elements would be welcomed too.

I was hoping the different character would have other set of equipement. Or at least other set of books (4/5 because of that). If you want us to restart, you need to make those enemies a lot stronger the second try. What else... oh yeah ! the weapons are really too easy to skip. Not enough difference/no speciality/easy targets. You can easily skip to the last weapon which make the game enven more easier afterward. These heroes aren't random, they're the only 5 people in the world who can hold a mingun one-handedVery nice game, too easy though. The money system could use a little revision, its way too easy to buy everything, you can just skip from the first to the last weapon and forget about the others since they dont offer anything worth the money. Is there any difference between the heros? I didn't notice one.If you hold A and then D, you will face right and go left - usefull when you're escapingthe music is nice. but the game has some serious issues with depth.

the music is nice. but the game has some serious issues with depth. and wth, an achievement to beat it with five differntly styled chars, but they are all the same, so beating it five times? and the guns are not that far apart too and the creatures neither ...

Kind of disappointed that new enemies just mimic old ones. I was hoping for the second and third act to be more than a different set of sprites. Also, what exactly is the purpose of "Beat the Boss with ___" if all Characters are identical? It's a nice basis but doesn't really do anything interesting.

Just about every decision made about this game is adverse and stupid. The faux pixel style illusion(a bad choice in the first place) is broken with terrible flash effects like the blast circle from the gun. The visual style is a rip-off of other terrible flash games. The music is repetitive and also serves against the pixelish style. The gameplay is a watered-down copy of better NES games. The firing rate of the gun is crippling and the auto-shoot you have is pointless. The achievement system (should NOT exist here) notifies you every minute of a new 'achievement' you could reach without achieving much at all. This is one of the laziest games I've ever played on kongregate, and that's saying a lot. I think the only good thing I could say about this game is that some of the enemy character animations were smooth and well-done. 2/5.

All upgrades and weapons bought by the start of chapter 3 , too easy.
No point in play with other characters since is the same weapons and books... 3/5 for the try.

I feel a great influence of Megaman in this game, I like it. Pretty easy-going and fun rather than aggravating. Money system is too unbalanced in the Player's favor, I easily just bought the Pulse Laser and occasionally added on armor and books. The enemies were pretty easy to kill.
Good game overall. 4/5 in my book.

So, is it customary to get a monster hunter III before monster hunter II? Either they were coded the wrong way around, or it's just me. It's still a good game though.

2/5 Too easy. There is nothing actually random about the heroes. There are no differences. Money comes easy, and gear is cheap. Bosses were pathetic. Overall not impressed.

great game, but like alot of people are saying the people need to be a little diffent from each other, add diffent guns for them, stats, at lest give them diffent endings. other then that 4/5 for a fun 15 min zombie robot army game

Really fun, retro style shooter. The game ran smoothly, I never ran into problems with the platforming, the levels were intricate without being too insane, enemy types were just varied enough... I liked it a lot. It was a little too easy to buy new guns and upgrades though. This made the game seem like a walk in the park. The platforming managed to make up for that by keeping it just difficult enough to still be entertaining.

Good game, cool music nice gameplay. Miss hard mode (more creature, more health, more damage) and difference between caracter. Last boss could a lot more challenging. Overall 4/5

Not so spectacular. I explored the first few levels entirely, but after getting enough money for the last weapon, I simply rush through every remaining level due to the boredom. And the bosses have really simple move patterns. Overall, the game is too easy and sort of repetitive.

Great game with awesome sprites and music, what i didnt like was - the characters had no diffrence other than appearance, the money was too easy to gain, making the whole game too easy to be really enjoyable..

You can abrely call that steampunk and the music really isnt good, slow gameplay i stopped after 5 minutes, dull worlds, dull levels, im sorry but i really didnt enjoy it

In the 2nd chapter, 2nd screen, the skull on the right appears again if you die. I think this makes really easy the game...
