It's highly depressing, that I have played this game a few times within the past year or so, and there will most likely never be a sequel, in my honest opinion this is the best flash game that has EVER been made.

The best plot I've ever encountered in a flash game hands down. I just wish the "shooter" dynamic were a bit more fleshed out.

the bosses in this game make even less sense than sonny and that game stopped giving any explanation for why you're fighting what you were. seriously a ship that looks like a snail. Just picture it they went to get permission to build it and got the response you want you're ship to look like a giant snail with rockets? okay it makes as much sense as the giant box so why not?

ok if a sequel does happen please for the love of god DO NOT MAKE RE-ADD ALL MY F**CKING SKILL POINTS AT THE START OF NEW GAME PLUS!!! Its kind of annoying especially the way I do it: making sure everything is on the same level. Seriously I just individually added a skill point to every stat. to put it another way: I just added over 400 skill points one at a time!

Easily one of the best games I've played here on Kong. Terrific story, memorable characters, and great level up system. I would love to see an anime or a major game developer take this story into consideration. xdanond, you have a talent, utilize this gift my friend! Praise to your future endeavors!

@Pats133 Stuff is explained. Oh, and just so you know, Deadeye doesn't sell anything worse than your current weapon, and when you buy a weapon, the worse weapon is automatically un-equipped and the better one replaces the weapon that is in that spot. For example: You have a level 10 Machinegun. You buy a level 11 Machinegun. The level 10 Machine gun is un-equipped and is replaced by the level 11 Machinegun.

Nothing is explain? Cmon i bought new weapons but they dont appear to get equipped. Nor do i see the point of the weapon switching buttons, as i cant even switch to my "new" weapons i bought which i cant find anywhere

I feel like a book could be written on the game's storyline. Thank you xdanond for the masterpiece known as RPG Shooter: Starwish.

I just want to point this out, but, if anybody wants fullscreen during gameplay, enter Cinematic mode. It is the closest you can get to fullscreen. (At least I think so. Unless there is a fullscreen button that I secretly don't know about.)

i recommend this: put most upgrade-points in intelligence, right from the start on. it will be repaid for sure. 2nd prior should be luck. use wave/vortex as soon as u can, secondary weapon should be V-bombs. if u get new skills priorize crits, secondary weapons and vertical shot. this will level you up fast and bosses get heavy damage too.

The fire rate on some of the weapons can be deceiving. the crush missile actually damages enemies twice if you get a direct hit, and against bosses, the vortex cannon seems to register 2 hits per bullet, probably due to the massive size of the bosses. So as soon as you unlock the vortex gun, upgrade the crap out of it ^_^

I think at least 10 of the 30 points in earning the badge goes into reading the dialogue. Though the beginning would have put many people off, it is an otherwise compelling and epic story.

Actually, navigating an asteroid belt is quite easy, since in real life asteroids are on average 600,000 miles apart. . . .

This game is absolutely gorgeous and moving. The story, art, and music really bring the characters to life. I normally don't enjoy shooters, but this is one I will keep playing. Extremely well done.

Count me in, I hate shooters, the story killed it for me. Deep, moving & evocative while witty and earnest. Bloody brilliant.

I FOUND MY SELF CRYING IN FRONT OF MY COMPUTER WHEN ORACLE DIED and my mum walked in and asked "whats wrong?" and I just looked at her said "life is an endless void. you do not achieve, therefore it is meaningless." LOVE THIS GAME SO MUCH, GOOD MUSIC INDEED

Admittedly I first played the arcadeprehacks version because I usually fail badly with bosses and can never get to the end, but I found out that you only get one ending on the hacked version .-.
I for sure will do what I can and try to beat it here! The story... I am deeply moved by it. I loved how there were long text scenes, I hate games with short cutscenes. A good story in a game grabs me more than a great battle system or anything like that.
Yo, if you're gonna do a sequel, about how much d'ya think that'd cost? I would love to help provide some funds. I wouldn't be able to do much, but I would do the best I could. This game is pretty much the most amazing game I've seen here on Kong. Know why? I normally hate shooter games. Can't stand them. But I love this one.
Amazing stuff. I would love to see a sequel!

SO ... MUCH ... TEXT ... Don't get me wrong, it's surprisingly well written, but the game sometimes feels like a comic with some short minigame along the run ...

World 3 is tough as nails. Except, for some reason, for the Rocket Slime with invincible eyes. The Living Heart is still a joke, though. MAKE THE HITBOX SMALLER I CAN'T NAVIGATE
thank you

I played this game once a while back when it was badge of the day and enjoyed it. Played it again now for Best of 2011 quest, and was so engaged I played through to the end. This is a gem of a game! Thanks for making it.
