I had to reply some old levels a LOT before I was able to beat the last level :S Had to put everything in shields and shield regen.

Just so you know, you can unlock at least one additional ending if you end the game on hard difficulty ( I'm unsure if new game + has anything to do with endings though ).

Absolutely beautiful. The story is what really drives this game, as the gameplay is a bit cut and paste, but that really didn't matter. This game brought tears to my eyes and left me feeling amazing about this world.
Although I fail to see how this is, as you described it, a dating sim, as the entire dialogue is scripted, although I've never played one before.

I have played completely through this game 8 times, and yet it still never ceases to amaze me. As a community member in kong and a long love of this game I can only hope that a sequel is coming soon.

I enjoyed it... here are some of my thoughts:
1. More interactivity would be appreciated - there were several cutscenes that could have been turned into missions.
2. The variety of weapons was initially fun, but the cost of upgrading them caused a lot to fall out of use, and made missions where they'd be invaluable frustrating because the weapons were underleveled. Even at level 61, the Machgun was worthless compared to weapons half it s
3. The weapon upgrade system was RNG-dependent to a frustrating degree. It really sucked not being able to get level-appropriate saws and chargers.
4. The story was pretty fun. It kept me going... and I'm really glad it didn't turn into a dating sim.

This game... teaches you about life. I almost cried in the end. 5/5 and favorited, have my support. Developer, I do not consider this fully as a game, it is much more. I learned stuff today, you gave me emotions, and it goes far beyond any form of entertainment: games are art, and art should teach you something, which is what you totally did. Take my heartfelt "thank you", dev. I shall keep with me what you taught to me today. You have no idea how important this was for me. Best of luck for your life and future projects.

These are short comments, because, there is too much to say about this gem. Stick it out and trust me, it will worth it, you are in for a treat with this game/VN, you have my word.

If the game was just the playable game portion, it would have been fairly forgettable. I find the story really sells it and the game deserves more than a 5 rating.

I think this game should be greenlighted on Steam. I personally would pay to have this game available to me, especially when I don't have access to internet access.

Starting this, I didn't expect to play for 5-7 hours, or to cry. Wow. There are no words. Thank you so much for making and posting this.
(Also I may still be in love with Ginny oTL)

I am going to make this game into a movie the story is so good. Johnny will be played by Leonardo Di Caprio and he will finally win his Oscar.

Living proof that an engaging storyline actually enhances the gameplay sections too. The gameplay element is just a simple space shooter that has only tiny variations throughout the levels, but if you actually read the cutscenes, you feel strangely pumped to to get out there shooting again.

Wow, you know at first I thought this was just one of those simple shooting games, so I thought it was just a typical game and I would have rated 3/5 on it...but when I read the storyline, I fell in love with it... the storyline is so touching, heartwarming, teaches people alot of values. I wouldn't have been surprised if this game was made into a comic book or a book. Its a really awesome storyline, I wished there was a sequel. 10/5, very very good game.

@Natureguy85 There are two secret endings you can only get on hard mode. I shan't be telling you them though. And it has to be a new game. Not New Game Plus.

2nd comment after finishing. I enjoyed it. The gameplay is good and I had a lot of fun with it, but since you are also doing a story, it ends up being too dragged out. I was doing level after level with the story not really progressing. I like the idea of Johnny and Mare being more than what they seem. The story was interesting but the dialogue was to much like a date-sim. Are there more than 3 possibilities for the final wish and, if so, what dictates them? For all the talking with the women on the ship and Deuce noticing interest in them, only one wish had to do with one of them for me.
