Definitely a quite enjoyable game. I am looking forward to the sequel. However it seemed to lack a bit of tactical depth. It seemed the best strategy was to just place all ranged squads inside a defense ring of melees and wait for the enemy to attack. Maybe moving the archers away from danger or charging a bit with the knights, but apart from that moving alomst inevitably leads to your units being scattered. Maybe add different commandos (defend position, roaming,...) for your squads. Also it seems like it is always best to deploy all available squads. Why not add a limit for each level so that one has to make a choice?

would be nice if you had some use for the gold after maxing all your units, by the time i got to the dragon everything was already 3/3.

I like this developer. They listen to comments and make changes in the game so that we, in turn, will play it more :)

to short, really easy, but overall a pretty good game. I hope in the sequel there will be more to do. In the next game maybe you could make it that way you can give them different weapons and armor from a shop or something like that. good game 4/5

Wow! What a game! This was really fun! I really enjoyed the smaller micro-management that one had to do with all the squads, and the real-time element made it more strategic. Also, I enjoyed how the rewards didn't get lower each time, as I can understand how if they did, levelling all the units would be a big pain. I must say that I don't think there should be a time freeze button purely because it would make this game easier, and I like the extra challenge. Also, I think that as of now, (Friday, November 2, 2012) this game is a tad on the easy side. On the last battle, I did pretty much nothing, and I still won with very minimal casualties. Actually, on most of the latter battles I won with very very few casualties. I suppose the only real suggestions I can give is make different difficulty levels. All in all, a really fun and awesome game, and I like the fact that I don't have to rage at the screen to win. :D

a little bit too short and too easy but very good base to build up on! make troop type countering more significant, my archers could melee their infantry lol. maybe have more upgrade options for squads such as bonus vs undead, orc, cavalry etc or when lvl up distribute points such as atk/def/number of troops/movement speed etc

Would be nice if you could reduce the amount of battle sounds that play when a squad attacks another squad to make it sound like a battle and not scratchy and almost unidentifiable. other than that i really like this game!

Survival mode's the game, campaign's the tutorial. This is surprisingly impressive -- though I'm sure I've missed more recent ones, last time I saw a game that punished bad tactical formation this fast was Myth II, the TW series lets you pick your fights, this ... doesn't. You're going to die, and the only thing left to fight for is glory. Rock.

I'd like it if my spearmen/knight things would stop stabbing the dead ogres and kill the rest of the units charging to kill my archers. Seriously though I kinda understand the stand in a circle and poke the body with a stick but NOT during battle!

I only just managed to break 500 on survival because a massive wave of soldiers and spiders crashed in the middle while my one little individual archer hid in a corner. XD

the artifact is amazing, i can run campaigns and watch youtube at the same time!! really enjoyed the game - not too long, and not too complicated for me!

I think it would be a bit better if the play area would scale to be larger on the later levels, because eventually it starts to get crowded, and it becomes hard to organize them strategically. Another option could be that the play area can be scrolled around and/or zoomed.

Not really 'tactical' much. I guess minorly. Just kinda pile melee units together and keep the ranged ones in range and you kill everything. <

I'd like to have all maxed squads. Here is my suggestion on how: 1. make the last mission repeat give exp, that way the game wont be too easy. 2. create a number of challenges or side missions that give exp to some of your troop, such that if you played perfectly you will have maxed all troop at end of game

The path finding is pretty bad and not being able to click and drag to select more than 1 squad was a tad annoying. Still give it a 4/5 though as it was pretty enjoyable.

Th best part of this game is the start. The Worst is the end. I'm serious, this is a fantastic, if short game. A new Favorite.
A few things though. It bothers the hell out of me havng to quickly click my units to give them orders, being able to set orders before battle would make it much easier. Also, The fact that your men are behind the standard bearer is wise, but it is annoying when you tell you men to retreat and they just spin around the standard bearer to get bhind him, walking straight into what I'm try to avoid.

The epic drawings coupled with the hilarious narration in the intro sold it for me. I have a feeling this game is going to be cool!

I think it is on level 6, but there is one troop, the very bottom troop that I am supposed to aid, has full health, and then all of the sudden when the second wave of orcs come, they are either disappearing or are just instantly dying, even with my troops there to support them.

This game barely even qualifies as "strategy". I breezed through with golds on every level simply by keeping my troops bunched up and letting the enemies throw themselves at my unbreakable phalanx. I only had to switch things up for the boss levels and even those were merely different kinds of zerg rushes. It needs some serious rethinking of the mechanics.

It will be nice if is there some type off armor change when leveling up.
Also It would be Nice to expand the deployment area for more strategic options.
And also a wide select box, so you can select multiple unites at a time. Just the little things like that can make the game even better

Great game, guys. I actually, genuinely enjoyed playing this one through all the way to 100% gold medals. Very few games these days can command my attention for long enough. I'm glad to see that the dialogue wasn't too serious, the game had a sensible length and the style, level design etc were all of a great quality. One small complaint is the AI / pathing around obstacles was lacking somewhat. You'll be getting my 5/5 seal of approval despite that ;)

I really love this game! I love the fact, that each squad has its own name and flag, it makes the game feel real. What i ould like to see in a sequel: squads appearance changes with better equipment, bigger battlefields so you can actually flank enemy squads and attack them from the rear with your knights and bigger placement areas, so all your squads can be placed. And most of all: The game needs to be longer, so we can enjoy more! 5 stars!

For the sequel, may I simply suggest that you allow customization of the Squad Names as well as their formations upon level-up? It would allow players to be more attached to the squads.

This is the Medieval RT-Strategy Game I've been looking for all my life.
The idea of placing your squads... AND upgrading them... I've just started, but 5/5 already (that was a comical intro, by the way.)
