ok, i am stucked at third lvl where I have to jump (or double jump even if I don't even know how to) and make portals just to climb a wall...this meant to be a logic game or a skilled-headache one? I didn't get it

The momentum loops were often frustratingly difficult to pull off due to the tiny portal size (even though I "stopped fidgeting" as the game suggested). This took all of the fun out of parts of the game that were SUPPOSED to be fun (like that "bounce bounce" part). It was sometimes hard to get the pigs through the portals when you wanted them to. The messages on the boards and the music gave the game an overall friendly tone, which isn't bad, but didn't make me feel like i was trying to "escape" at all. Also, the ending was very abrupt... just as the pigs are introduced and things look like they might get more interesting. The physics and graphics are smooth enough, but the rest is a bit lacking. A good start, but doesn't really feel like a full game (even judging by flash game standards).

it would really help to have a button to just shoot a portal straight down. This seems to be a very important activity to get right multiple times in a row.

This game is a nightmare to play. You can solve the puzzle, but then fail 1000 times in a row to execute the solution, because the airborne stuff is so fiddly.

It's quite frustrating that the portals need to be hit quite precisely but once you get through 2-3 momentum sections and realise that the pig doesn't need to come with you in the jump, but can move through a portal in the arrows afterwards, it's not that far left until the end. It's a really short game but it's understandable if you get stuck at some section.

Why can't we use arrow keys instead of WASD? I don't mind WASD, but I do mind having to aim with the mouse in my right hand.
Sincerely,
a lefthanded gamer.

I can't even fathom why this awesome game has such a low score. I think it's just not...user friendly. IE: Stupid people can't figure things out without obvious directions and just give up. Anyhow, my only actual ingame disappointment was the last (real) level. (Where you first meet Oliver.) Some of the other puzzles took me at least a few minutes to solve. The last level had NO difficult puzzles. Which is slightly weird, given that it's, well, the last level.

Pigs can go backwards through the arrows? Would've been a nice piece of information to have. Because of the unprecise controls I figured I had to loop the pig in level 6 to get it through. Because who'd think that the game rules don't apply to the pig?
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
The little pig do not need to follow the arrows like the main character ...
I made it go without skipping the arrows, to later discover it didn't need it...
It took forever! -_-

"I'm stuck in tutorial a bit after "you not doing so badly after all" board. Okie dokie." Same... something tells me if I'm stuck and frustrated this early in the game there is something wrong. I legit don't know what I'm doing wrong...and I tend to be pretty good at puzzle games so think it's a fault in the game design not me. Fun concept, poor execution. 3/5

On the intro stage, when you get to the end shoot a portal down through the lighter blocks. then walk right out of the stage.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
I physically can not pass the intro level. I don't know if it's my mouse, or I'm just not doing it right but I'm stuck. Am I missing something or?
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
im not exactly sure why they give you pigs on the last bonus level you can do it all without them in all of 20 seconds
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
lol I'm just playing and then there's a random pig and I see "it's dangerous to go alone! take this PIG" and am instantly reminded of snailiad

This game controls like ass. You should NEVER take control from the player, but this game does it literally every time you're in the air! Grid or no grid, stick with something consistent! Puzzles were good but badly scaled and mechanics not explained (pigs ignore arrows). 3/5

Yeah, everything I didn't like about portal, in compact form. Sorry. It's nice to see something that's not an idle game, but this one's not for me.

I must be missing something simple - how do you get the pig to jump with you to areas beyond, so you can have him stand on the button? I create a portal and he goes through with no bounce. I can't do the back and forth jump with the pig as he closes the portal and either I am stuck on on side (ending my loop) or I go through before him and he gets stuck. Any tricks as to what I am missing?

Please, do remember that some people don't have qwerty keyboard : either offer two sets of keys or let users select whatever they are used to...
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Part of what made portal great was the fact that the challenge came from the puzzles, not the controls themselves. Unfortunately, I cannot say the same for this game.

The automatic movement in air was so noticeable that it threw me off entirely with the first jump, at first and I was more concerned with it than the game itself and playing. As one always does, whenever something is wrong/annoying I figured it out before going forward. Some quick testing showed that the game tries to align you with the square pattern of the gameworld. Now I hate it! Interferes with chaining jumps as the game moves you off-kilter with what you were aiming for, causing a wobble when you try to compensate. Handholding that fails at it is even worse than handholding. What if i want to stand beside a portal on a one square width area?! Removing control from the player is a big fat NO. Player control is the most important part of a platformer. Introducing involuntary air movement mechanics is a shitty thing to do and not explain why. Overall good ideas brought down by partially shit controls.

WASD controls are terrible if you don't have a qwerty keyboard ! you should allow people to change keys to whatever suits them. (arrows or ZQSD in my case). The game is unplayable for me as it is now.

arrows only apply to your beam. You can actually go through the arrow path backwards if you shoot the arrow going towards your location and then entering the end the arrow's path.
