QA Tester

Kongregate is looking for a QA Tester to work closely with members of its engineering and product teams. QA Testers test the Kongregate website, proprietary tools, SDKs and APIs to ensure new features function according to design and that known bugs are fully resolved. The ideal candidate will have excellent attention to detail, be constantly motivated to document and fix issues, and be dedicated to ensuring that Kongregate’s products are of the highest possible quality. QA Testers coordinate regularly with a supervisor but should be able to carry out testing with minimal direction.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Testing of new and existing features and content
Documenting bugs with detailed reproduction steps
Verification of all bug fixes as noted by the development team
Ad-hoc testing as directed

Business Development Associate

Kongregate is looking for a Business Development Associate to drive growth in Kongregate's publishing program. The role will include: sourcing activities to identify games and teams for publishing leads, CRM organization of leads and contacts as part of evaluation process, daily/weekly communications with platform partners, maintenance of a consolidated game release calendar, and other tasks. This role will work closely and collaboratively with the publishing team in order to maintain productive relationships between Kongregate and our partners. He/she will need to be subject matter experts on all things relating to Kongregate's partners as well as staying abreast of emerging F2P and premium gaming trends. He/she will interact with his or her supervisor as frequently as needed by either. Many routine and non-routine decisions may be made without prior supervisor approval.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Organize and drive sourcing activities to identify games and teams for Kongregate publishing’s business
Utilize Salesforce for collaboration across the BD and publishing teams in evaluating and signing games
Initiate contact and support ongoing dialogue with potential developer partners
Manage contract review flow, in coordination with internal teams and legal counsel, and ensure latest contracts and templates are accessible
Track mobile releases to test markets and global featuring on App Store and Google Play
Develop pitch and marketing materials defining Kongregate unique business and portfolio traits to game developers, distribution platforms, and other parties
Make actionable recommendations to Kongregate’s exec and publishing leaders related to the types of developers, games and platform opportunities necessary to success in mobile and beyond
Manage a consolidated Kongregate release calendar for all game releases and key updates across the multiple business lines

Office Manager

Kongregate is looking for an Office Manager to coordinate all office services for the Kongregate San Francisco office, Portland office, San Diego office, and remote employees. Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Performs customer service functions by responding to employee requests and questions
Plan and schedule group meetings and secure necessary resources, including travel, housing, and meals. Assistance with travel visas sometimes required

HR Director

Kongregate is looking for an experienced Human Resources Director who is people-focused, motivated and organized. This role will build and oversee the internal HR department and will provide support for the design, implementation, communication and administration of company Human Resources initiatives. It will also provide consulting and leadership on a variety of generalist HR topics.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Build out HR department, policies, procedures, and documentation. Assess current policy/procedures and correct by implementing new scalable ones that align with company’s current and future growth
Work closely with multi-location and remote leaders to ensure HR practices align with company values across the organization
Manage employee relations issues, including conflict resolution, initial performance concerns and various other issues
Develop the overall capability of the HR team to execute strategies that complement and enhance the achievement of company goals
Provide coaching and mentorship to other members of the HR team and managers

Staff Accountant

Kongregate is looking for a Staff Accountant who pays great attention to detail, is able to deliver results under deadline and works effectively cross-functionally in a quickly growing company. This position will compute and prepare data for journal entries, general ledger, and related financial statements, and perform day-to-day general accounting functions. This position will report to the CFO.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Prepares general ledger journal entries, fixed asset tracking, monthly balance sheet reconciliation, and bank reconciliation
Manages accounts payable functions including but not limited to verifying invoices, expense reports, check requests, and purchase requisitions; entering data into accounts payable system; and processing weekly check runs
Assists with accounts receivable functions including but not limited to applying payments to appropriate accounts, monthly invoicing, reconciling customer accounts, and handling customer inquiries
Prepares monthly game developer royalty reports and payment files
Generates and files monthly financial reports
