Publishing Product Manager

As a Product Manager on the Publishing team, you will work on several mobile free-to-play titles. You will work with other Publishing team members to help several different game teams develop and improve their products. You will monitor the health of your games, stay aware of the performance of our portfolio of games, and identify KPIs that can be improved. You will conduct market research on competitor games and apply your understanding of the marketplace and its direction to the development of our games. You will make the case for why we should focus on a given metric and how a given approach is the best use of a team's time. You will measure the performance of features and events that teams put in their games, write up analysis and reports, and make recommendations about what should be done next. You will also drive forward data science initiatives across the company, making the case for why we should devote resources to building analytical capacity in a given space in terms of what that capacity would allow us to do and understand. You will work with almost every member of the Publishing team, helping them measure and improve their impact and helping to define key outcomes and performance metrics. As your supervisor will be in the San Francisco office, you will be expected to communicate proficiently and proactively with coworkers at all levels of the company and work with minimal supervision.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities
Work on several free-to-play mobile games across a variety of genres and developer teams
Own responsibility for the performance and health of your games (improvement/decline of KPIs) and their performance against targets
Monitor the health of your games. The PM should know and flag when and why various KPIs and player behaviors change (e.g. revenue spike, retention drop, etc.) and have a perspective on what we should do about it
Conduct routine analysis on games that you work on and scope out larger-scale analysis for analysts to tackle
Identify and prioritize KPIs that should be improved by features and updates
Evaluate and drive product vision and business rationale for features and updates
Evaluate business impact of released features, events, content and updates on live games by conducting analysis in SQL, Excel, and elsewhere
Document best practices of our games and make recommendations to developer teams about how to best implement those learnings in the context of their games
Conduct market research on competitor games and understand industry best practices. Analyze external games with an eye toward finding ways to improve our games and present that analysis internally
Project out financial performance for potential signings using available data and your game design sensibilities to create different scenarios of likely outcomes

Producer, Mobile Games

The Producer, Mobile Games manages the relationship with 3rd party developers to guide, design and improve multiple games focusing on the monetization, engagement, and retention of players. This result is achieved through strong partner relationships and deep data analysis to understand a game's performance, its viability as a business, and its ability to scale. You'll work with several departments at Kongregate as well as external partners to improve and grow the portfolio of games. The Marketing Artist is a skilled graphic designer with the ability to create a broad array of marketing graphics and creative assets for Kongregate game titles. You will work with a variety of existing art assets, in different file formats, and transform them into dynamic, compelling marketing creatives.
