Product Manager

As a Product Manager on the Kongregate mobile publishing team, your mission is to maximize the business success of our portfolio of mobile games. Your primary responsibility will be analyzing data and building recommendations to improve all aspects of free-to-play games, from the features that drive monetization and retention, to the analysis necessary to drive profitable paid user acquisition. You will work with our producers to help them gain a deeper understanding of how users are behaving in their games. You will work with our marketing team to analyze marketing campaigns, player retention and virality and help guide budget allocations across networks.

The ideal candidate is an avid game player, understands mobile game design and product best practices, and has an inherent love of analytics and data.

Responsibilities:
Collaborate with cross-functional team members to monitor the health of current games and optimize game systems and features.
Collect, clean, and analyze game data to uncover trends and derive new insights into specific games.
Own and provide game and feature design recommendations to our portfolio of games with a focus on business priorities and impacting top KPIs (retention, monetization, virality, etc.).
Support all recommendations with a blend of industry experience and data/analysis.
Assist with the design and implementation of schemas for tracking game events and data.

Requirements:

Data Analyst

As a Data Analyst on the Kongregate mobile publishing team, your mission is to maximize the business success of our portfolio of mobile games. Our ideal candidate is an avid gamer and SQL wizard, with a love for analytics and a deep understanding of mobile game design.

Responsibilities:
Collaborate with cross functional teams to analyze and optimize game systems and features.
Take ownership of analysis and suggestions for game mechanics and design.
Propose and design A/B tests for optimizing game elements.
Design tools and processes for efficiently auditing data sources.

Production Assistant

Kongregate is looking for a Production Assistant to work with all of our new virtual goods browser games. The position will focus on the onboarding and launch process for games coming to the platform. This will include testing out the games on the site, checking for the integration of our tools, providing feedback and advice to the developers, and guiding the games through initial launch and promotion. The position will also be involved with the general Kongregate.com virtual goods business, discussing priorities, marketing decisions, optimization of resources, etc.

This is an entry-level position that will aim to train and grow the applicant into higher roles over time.

Requirements and Skills:
High school diploma or GED required, college degree preferred
Excellent communication, ability to professionally convey complex ideas in a clear and concise manner
Strong verbal communication to talk with team members and external game developers
Passion for and general knowledge of video games
Interest in learning about and growing the free-to-play business

Mobile QA Tester

Kongregate, a mobile and web games publisher, is looking for a Mobile QA Tester. This role will work closely with our mobile production team in a variety of areas including testing builds, creating test plans, and working with third party QA organizations in their testing efforts.

Responsibilities:
Accurately enter bugs found in a clear and concise manner
Construct test plans and test cases for a variety of games
Test other Kongregate platform tools and offerings
Complete regular test plans and playthroughs of mobile games
Manage build releases, track changes, and ensure submission candidates have met all necessary criteria for release
Document new features or changes to Kongregate platform tools and the state and health of individual games
Read and respond to community forums and emails
Requirements:
Passion of retesting with an understanding of QA methodologies
Quality Assurance experience in the video games industry is preferred

Sr. Producer, Mobile Games

Working independently, the Sr. Producer, Mobile Games oversees the creation and operation of mobile games by external developers through Kongregate's mobile publishing program. The Senior Producer oversees the work 3rd party game developers and also serves as an individual contributing designer and analyst. The desired business objective for this role is to ship and operate hit games for mobile and to help the GameStop/Kongregate organization achieve its overall business objectives. Associate will interact with his or her supervisor as needed by either. Nearly all routine activities are completed without a supervisor's advance approval; many non-routine activities will require some supervisor consultation. This role is generally characterized by working levels of scope and complexity, and a moderate level of independent decision making.

Director, Customer Support

Working independently, the Director of Customer Support will build and oversee a centralized customer support center, focusing on supporting Kongregate's mobile games. The Director will design and implement a scaling plan for the new game support team, including organizational structure and hiring, integration and use of third party services and design of internally developed tools. The Director is accountable for ensuring that daily operations occur on schedule, within budget and meet/exceed customer needs, associate expectations and business results.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Serve as the principal operational leader for Kongregate mobile game support, strategically building and scaling a large game-support team from the ground up.
Develop strategies and structure so that the customer support team is well prepared to support rapidly scale to meet large scale product launches.
Work closely and collaboratively with key stakeholders throughout Kongregate, including the Community Management, Game Production and Product teams to ensure high quality customer support across our portfolio.

VP, Business Development and Developer Relations
