Assistant Community Manager

The Assistant Community Managers oversee this community by responding to support requests and by investigating fraud and abuse reports. Our need at this time is for a "weekend specialist" who will work full days on Friday, Saturday and Sunday plus two additional weekdays.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Respond to support requests from users, ranging from simple to fairly technical or obscure
Handle reports of abuse by individual users
Review and investigate purchases for potential fraud
Act as a representative for the site with users and game developers
Related Competencies:

Superior ability to assess situations (or people) and respond appropriately
Demonstrated success working in both independent and team settings

Product Manager

As a Product Manager on the Kongregate mobile publishing team, your mission is to maximize the business success of our portfolio of mobile games. Your primary responsibility will be analyzing data and building recommendations to improve all aspects of free-to-play games, from the features that drive monetization and retention, to the analysis necessary to drive profitable paid user acquisition. You will work with our producers to help them gain a deeper understanding of how users are behaving in their games. You will work with our marketing team to analyze marketing campaigns, player retention and virality and help guide budget allocations across networks.

The ideal candidate is an avid game player, understands mobile game design and product best practices, and has an inherent love of analytics and data.

Responsibilities:
Collaborate with cross-functional team members to monitor the health of current games and optimize game systems and features.
Collect, clean, and analyze game data to uncover trends and derive new insights into specific games.
Own and provide game and feature design recommendations to our portfolio of games with a focus on business priorities and impacting top KPIs (retention, monetization, virality, etc.).
Support all recommendations with a blend of industry experience and data/analysis.
Assist with the design and implementation of schemas for tracking game events and data.

Requirements:
Strong SQL and Excel skills.
Robust knowledge of statistics.
Keen analytical mind that thrives in a metrics driven environment.
Working knowledge of free-to-play game products and their best practices; hardcore products preferred.
Passion for the mobile games business.
Self-motivated, intellectually curious, and ambitious.

Data Analyst

As a Data Analyst on the Kongregate mobile publishing team, your mission is to maximize the business success of our portfolio of mobile games. Your primary responsibility will be analyzing data to improve all aspects of our free-to-play games. You will interact with industry veterans and developers of top ranking games on a daily basis. You will be exposed to many different industry facets, such as game design, user acquisition, game production, business development, and engineering.

Our ideal candidate is an avid gamer and SQL wizard, with a love for analytics and a deep understanding of mobile game design.

Responsibilities:
Collaborate with cross functional teams to analyze and optimize game systems and features.
Take ownership of analysis and suggestions for game mechanics and design.
Propose and design A/B tests for optimizing game elements.
Design tools and processes for efficiently auditing data sources.
Troubleshoot data quality issues and work with producers, analysts, internal developers, and external game developers to reach solutions.

Requirements:
Quantitative degree (Engineering, Math, Economics, Finance, Computer Science, etc.).
1+ years experience in the gaming industry, preferably in an analytics role.
Expert knowledge of databases and SQL.
Strong working understanding of statistics.
Self-motivated, intellectually curious, and ambitious.

Senior Marketing Manager, User Acquisition

As a Senior Marketing Manager, User Acquisition on the Kongregate User Acquisition team, your mission is to maximize the growth of our mobile games. Your primary responsibility is to take a comprehensive approach to growth using every tool at your disposal with the explicit purpose of growing our network. You will work as part of our marketing team to analyze marketing campaigns, player retention, and virality to help guide budget allocations across networks and seek cross-promotion opportunities. You will work with our marketing vendors to optimize creatives and campaigns across their publisher base.

The ideal candidate is an avid game player, understands mobile game design and product best practices, and also has an inherent love of analytics and data.

Responsibilities:
Analyze user acquisition campaigns and work with vendors to optimize spend across creatives, publishers, and games
Generate performance reports of campaign effectiveness
Manage marketing spend to drive growth and retention goals for our live games
Manage user acquisition across several key game titles in our portfolio

Qualifications:
Keen analytical mind that thrives in a metrics driven environment
Basic understanding of user acquisition and growth best practices including channel analytics, funnel management, and platform utilization
Familiarity with free-to-play game products and their best practices
Comfort with SQL, strong Excel skills, and/or programming experience are a definite plus
Experience working in fast-paced environments, preferably in an internet, gaming, financial, or consulting industries
Quantitative bachelor degree recommended (Engineering, Math, Economics, etc.)
Passion for the mobile games business
