Game Community Manager

Essential Job Duties And Responsibilities:
Engage, nurture and build community around the game
Respond to comments and reviews in the app store
Monitor forums and interact with players there
Identify, communicate and consult with developers and producers on community issues and game bugs
Communicate with players about upcoming features and bug fixes

Senior Producer, Mobile Games

The Senior Producer, Mobile Games manages the creation and operation of mobile games by external developers through Kongregate's mobile publishing program. The Senior Producer oversees the work of 3rd party game developers and also serves as an individual contributing designer and analyst. The goal of this role is to ship and operate hit games for mobile and to help the GameStop/Kongregate organization achieve its overall business objectives, taking games from the concept stage all the way through test markets and global release on mobile platforms.

The Business Development Manager, Platforms is primarily responsible for daily/weekly communications with platform partners that are essential to Kongregate's publishing program. The Business Development Manager, Platforms will also assist in developing new game developer partnerships to strengthen the publishing portfolio. This role will work closely and collaboratively with the publishing team in order to maintain productive relationships between Kongregate and our partners. He/she will need to be subject matter experts on all things relating to Kongregate's partners as well as staying abreast of emerging F2P gaming trends. He/she will interact with his or her supervisor as frequently as needed by either. All routine and many non-routine decisions may be made without prior supervisor approval. Mobile Engineer

Kongregate's Mobile Engineering team develops and maintains the Kongregate Mobile SDK with new features and bug fixes while working directly with game producers and developers to assist with their needs. This small team is in need of engineers to help develop the SDK during this critical growth phase.

As a Mobile Engineer at Kongregate, you will work with Android, iOS, Unity/C#, Rails, and Ember. Our SDK communicates with the Kongregate back-end via HTTP calls, manages a complex hybrid WebView application, and wraps multiple third-party libraries such as Swrve and Adjust. You will work with external game studios to help them integrate the SDK and assist with problems they encounter.

Candidates should be smart, eager to learn, excellent communicators, and extremely tenacious. Mobile development can be frustrating at times, especially when trying to find workarounds for bugs on older devices with outdated operating systems. We are looking for someone who finds satisfaction in squashing difficult bugs, and is not afraid to dig deep to find the cause of obscure issues.

Data Engineer

Kongregate's Data Engineering team is responsible for creating and maintaining an analytics pipeline which services data from both our game publishing and web platform businesses. This critical and emerging team is in need of engineers to help expand our data processing capabilities as Kongregate continues to grow.

As a Data Engineer at Kongregate, you will work with Ruby, MySQL, and Puppet in addition to various AWS products including RedShift, S3, EMR, Lambda, and Kinesis. Our data pipeline extracts data from S3, transform it in Ruby jobs and loads it into RedShift. Part of your job will also be to assist our data analysts and game producers to assist with identifying and resolving data pipeline concerns.

Candidates should be smart, eager to learn, excellent communicators, and extremely tenacious. We are looking for someone who is able to both help define and implement best practices regarding data pipeline development. In practice, this can lead to working through unusual and unexpected situations as data sources can introduce unique exception cases requiring candidates to be able to track down obscure root causes.

Product Manager, Publishing

Working independently, the Product Manager, Publishing is responsible for maximizing the business success of Kongregate's portfolio of mobile games. The primary responsibility will be analyzing data and building recommendations to improve all aspects of free-to-play games, drive monetization, increase retention, and analyze data necessary to drive profitable paid user acquisition. Associates in the role work with producers to help gain a deeper understanding of how users are behaving in their games. The Product Manager will partner with marketing teams to analyze marketing campaigns, player retention, and virality and help guide budget allocations across networks.

The ideal candidate is an avid game player, understands mobile game design and product best practices, and has an inherent love of analytics and data.

Essential Job Duties And Responsibilities:
Collaborate with cross-functional team members to monitor the health of current games and optimize game systems and features.
Collect, clean, and analyze game data to uncover trends and derive new insights into specific games.
Own and provide game and feature design recommendations to our portfolio of games with a focus on business priorities and impacting top KPIs (retention, monetization, virality, etc.).
Support all recommendations with a blend of industry experience and data/analysis.
Assist with the design and implementation of schemas for tracking game events and data.
