Sr. Producer, Mobile Games

Working independently, the Sr. Producer, Mobile Games oversees the creation and operation of mobile games by external developers through Kongregate's mobile publishing program. The Senior Producer oversees the work 3rd party game developers and also serves as an individual contributing designer and analyst. The desired business objective for this role is to ship and operate hit games for mobile and to help the GameStop/Kongregate organization achieve its overall business objectives. Associate will interact with his or her supervisor as needed by either. Nearly all routine activities are completed without a supervisor's advance approval; many non-routine activities will require some supervisor consultation. This role is generally characterized by working levels of scope and complexity, and a moderate level of independent decision making.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Be the business owner of games created and shipped by 3rd party developers
Lead game projects from concept through implementation and post-launch iterative optimization
Develop and share best practices and playbook documents to help improve processes and designs within the team
Participate in and help drive business development activities, contract negotiations and developer outreach
Operate effective schedules that balance business objectives and resource constraints
Work closely and collaboratively with creative and operational leaders throughout the GameStop portfolio of entertainment businesses
Model the behaviors expected of all GameStop/Kongregate leaders including, but not limited to, a drive for results, with a demonstrable bias for action; high levels of emotional intelligence, maturity, and professionalism; giving, receiving and responding to feedback effectively; a consistently high service orientation; and demonstrable commitments to diversity, inclusion, a respectful workplace, and integrity

Senior Marketing Manager, User Acquisition

As a Senior Marketing Manager, User Acquisition on the Kongregate User Acquisition team, your mission is to maximize the growth of our mobile games. Your primary responsibility is to take a comprehensive approach to growth using every tool at your disposal with the explicit purpose of growing our network. You will work as part of our marketing team to analyze marketing campaigns, player retention, and virality to help guide budget allocations across networks and seek cross-promotion opportunities. You will work with our marketing vendors to optimize creatives and campaigns across their publisher base.

The ideal candidate is an avid game player, understands mobile game design and product best practices, and also has an inherent love of analytics and data.

Responsibilities:
Analyze user acquisition campaigns and work with vendors to optimize spend across creatives, publishers, and games
Generate performance reports of campaign effectiveness
Manage marketing spend to drive growth and retention goals for our live games
Manage user acquisition across several key game titles in our portfolio

Qualifications:
Keen analytical mind that thrives in a metrics driven environment
Basic understanding of user acquisition and growth best practices including channel analytics, funnel management, and platform utilization
Familiarity with free-to-play game products and their best practices
Comfort with SQL, strong Excel skills, and/or programming experience are a definite plus
Experience working in fast-paced environments, preferably in an internet, gaming, financial, or consulting industries
Quantitative bachelor degree recommended (Engineering, Math, Economics, etc.)

VP, Business Development and Developer Relations

Working independently and strategically, the VP, Business Development and Developer Relations leads the expansion of Kongregate's publishing and platform by identifying business opportunities and potential partners to achieve core Kongregate business objectives as a publisher and platform for games. The VP manages the developer relationships essential to Kongregate's game publishing unit and online delivery platform.

The VP will work closely and collaboratively to maintain productive relationships with existing developers and create new profitable relationships through extensive networking activities, staying abreast of emerging virtual gaming trends, and leveraging additional consumer information provided cross-functionally from Kongregate's marketing, production, and operations departments. The principal business outcome is to build our portfolio of free-to-play games, driving significant traffic and revenue across many platforms. Associate will interact with his or her supervisor as needed by either. Most activities are completed without a supervisor's advance approval.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain profitable, sustainable relationships with Kongregate's existing game developers
Source and negotiate exclusive cross-platform (mobile, web) game publishing deals
Identify strong developers and games to bring to the Kongregate platform through extensive networking activities and selling the value of an affiliation with Kongregate/GameStop
Source and negotiate exclusive cross-platform (mobile, web) game publishing deals
Source and negotiate high quality intellectual property from television, film, and other sources for use by our publishing portfolio
Source and negotiate revenue opportunities for Kongregate portfolio games, including licensing and marketing agreements
Source and negotiate non-exclusive game publishing deals for Kongregate's web platform
Develop and maintain profitable, sustainable relationships and advocate for features of Kongregate portfolio games with decision-makers of various platforms, such as Apple's App Store and Google Play
Work closely and collaboratively with leaders from Kongregate's production and operations teams to leverage global virtual gaming trends at the enterprise level; analyze consumer buying trends, and seek virtual gaming delivery opportunities
Work closely and collaboratively with leaders from Kongregate's marketing team to build Kongregate's brand with developers
Actively seek and respond favorably to feedback related to potential virtual games sourced from game developers
Work with Kongregate's marketing team to review analytics for games on the platform, and work with developers to refine their games further

Approximately 40% travel required, including international travel
Bachelor's degree with an accredited program in game development, business administration, marketing, or related field required; master's degree preferred
Minimum Qualifications, Job Skills, Abilities:
Expert knowledge of web, social, and mobile game studios
Expert skills in evaluating games for suitability to the Kongregate audience and platform
Proficient ability to communicate effectively with others using spoken and written English - additional spoken and written literacy in Chinese, Spanish, French, and German preferred to support international sourcing activities
Possesses extensive network of existing relationships with relevant developers
Expert understanding of virtual gaming trends and consumer buying habits
Working knowledge of global business practices and unique cultural characteristics of international and multinational organizations
Possess the learning capacity to receive and apply cross-functional training; willingness to assist other functions and work groups as needed so the department achieves or exceeds its overall business objectives
