The majority of Kongregate's revenue comes from our application platform for virtual goods-based browser games. These range from the more immersive social games to web-based MMOs and strategy games.

Marketing Coordinator, Mobile Back to Current Openings

As a Marketing Coordinator on the Kongregate User Acquisition team, your mission is to maximize the success of our mobile marketing effort. Your main responsibility will be to manage and optimize our campaigns across several networks and channels. You will work closely with our marketing vendors to launch new campaigns and monitor campaigns across their publisher base. You will work with the marketing team to ensure we are following a solid advertising plan that aligns with our portfolio’s goals.

The ideal candidate understands the mobile game space and product best practices and has a thorough understanding of analytics and data.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate, launch, and track marketing campaigns across multiple channels
  • Manage and develop relationships with marketing partners and vendors

Qualifications

Browser Games Producer Back to Current Openings

Working under light supervision, the Browser Games Producer will manage live games on Kongregate.com. You will work with external teams to ship and operate free-to-play games on the browser platform. You will act in large part as an advisor and light-weight producer for the many titles that are selling virtual goods on Kongregate. This role interacts with a supervisor as often as needed by either.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain relationships with Kongregate's existing game developers
  • Identify potential new developers and games to bring to the platform
  • Assist developers with integration, launching, understanding metrics, optimizing, and live-servicing their games on Kongregate.com
  • Manage decisions about the game portfolio, including which games to sign partner contracts with
  • Work with the marketing team to plan and execute promotions for high priority games
  • Interface with the community team to help with game-specific community and purchasing issues

Required Experience

  • High school diploma/GED required, bachelor's degree preferred
  • 2 years experience with game development, direction, or production
  • Must be able to work in the San Francisco office

Minimum Qualifications, Job Skills, and Abilities

  • Expert knowledge of F2P business, design, and metrics
  • Expert written and spoken communication
  • Proficient time and task management skills, able to work broadly with a hundred games at a time

Mobile QA / Developer Support Back to Current Openings

Kongregate, a mobile & web games publisher, is looking for a Developer Support and Lead QA Engineer to join our small and nimble mobile development team.

The principal service that the mobile team is responsible for is the cross-platform Kongregate SDK. The SDK supports components such as gaming features, deep game analytics, Kongregate platform features, and conversion testing to name a few.

Your role will be to ensure the quality of our evolving SDK, to aide developers' integration questions, and respond to developer issues. This role is open to evolve into other positions down the road such as developer, SDK evangelist, or integrations engineer.

Responsibilities:

  • Be the front-line support for third party game developers who are integrating our SDK or new features within it
  • Communicate changes via Release Notes, documentation site, and forums
  • Ensure the SDK meets feature requirements, quality standards, and compatibility across games, platforms, and devices
  • Review existing and upcoming SDK features to form test plans and regression test cases
  • Identify efficiency opportunities in processes, standards, and procedures in test automation and functional testing
  • Attempt to reproduce any reported issues and document steps
