What is darkness but the absence of light and what is light but the absence of darkness. Which in turn create a paradox of the human mind. Therefore to truly answer the question ,what is dark, you must first determine the meaning of it. Is dark truly the thing that children fear, or is it something else. I believe that the true darkness is in the mind which would make the phrase “the only thing to fear is yourself” true. Because if the darkness is inside of your mind you are truly the one to fear
