Corruption was once a human being that stood at approximately six feet but is now capable of distending its body and limbs out to almost two feet longer than normal and weighs around 300lbs. despite having a seemingly small body mass.
Corruption itself is a parasitic organism which spreads a viral infection through the cells of its host, causing mass mutation. Each cell then forms into its own organism controlled directly by the parasite. Unlike with the original human host, Corruption has the choice to control each and every cell individually. The mutated cells generally follow the same genetic make up of their original design, but are capable of growing and dividing much faster as well as each becoming their own viral copy of Corruption.
Any organic matter that comes into contact with the mutated host will be infected by the virus, which will then spread through that organism. The cells will quickly die, however, if separated from Corruption. Organisms that are infested are absorbed by the host in order to sustain their life and add their genetic coding to the infestation.
Corruption may infect anywhere on a host body, though the spine or a similar CNS structure is preferred in order to gain quick control over a host.
Corruption’s current human host has few physical differences from his original state. His left arm has been adapted into a barbed, claw appendage and several scythe-like bones have broken through the skin on his back and shoulders. His face is covered with a interface helmet and the partially mechanized armor he was wearing at the time of infection has been melded directly into his body by the mutated cells, concealed under a western style duster and ‘coolie’ hat.
Armed only with a 20mm autocannon integrated into the host body, it is unable to effectively fight at long ranges or combat magic. Corruption has adapted it’s host body to withstand extreme amounts of punishment by reinforcing it’s outer shell and making it’s cells quickly grow over opened wounds. This leaves it more exposed to quick, close kills as it’s internal structure is less protected.
