I’m here to share some news about Kongregate overall:
We’re starting a rewards program called Prestige League for the players who are financially supporting our biggest games at very high levels. This is a company-wide program and will involve players from all our biggest games— Animation Throwdown, Bit Heroes and TMNT: Mutant Madness.
In the coming weeks, we’ll be reaching out to a few folks and inviting them to participate. In the beginning, the program will be very small and have just one part-time staff person. With time, it’s our hope that we’ll be able to hire a full-time staffer and expand the program to include many more players.
At least at present, we will not be disclosing the criteria for participation. I can say that we’ll be looking at both lifetime spending history and also current spending levels, but we understand that members may not want to have that information discussed publicly.
As part of this initial exploratory phase, we’ll be figuring out what benefits and activities are most attractive and enjoyable for participants. Members will also be entitled to escalated support, in that their support tickets will be handled first, but there will still be limits in terms of what we can offer.
One thing that will not change is Kongregate’s behavioral expectations. If a member of the Prestige League engages in offensive or threatening conduct, they can expect to experience the same consequences as anyone else.
We know many of you will be disappointed to not be involved from the very beginning, but please remember that our goal is to expand the program and include more people!
