Thank you! I used (as for all my games here) Monkey which is a nice enough language (the syntax is a cross between Basic and Java) that translates into a wide variety of target languages. Oozing Empires compiled for Android and Flash differs only in a very small number of respects controlled by pre-processor commands (#IF TARGET = “android” splashscreen = LoadImage( “androidsplash.png”), that sort of thing. ) I don’t need separate projects. I do have to deal with the fact that the screen size on android could be anything, but there you go. Monkey is from the author of the venerable Blitz Basic, which has been a great game-producing solution since the Amiga days.
I recommend it. You can download a free html5-only demo, and if you want to discover your inner primate, the full version is only about $100 for a permanent licence.
