One thing along with the rest of these comments...the writing is very bad. There's a grammar error in the introduction (Last screen, "kill" is done in past tense when the rest is present) Also, the taunting is just so lame I would rather have no dialog than fighter pilots fighting for the freedom of their planet in an epic space battle calling each other a noob. Seriously. That and the story is confusing enough already. An alien race attacks your planet so there's obviously a traitor? And we're randomly attacking the aliens to find him? Are we just killing the invading force? I don't get it at all.
Gosh, finally finished it. Once my city had 13 hp during the last level. ;_; It's not as fun, though, when the computer plainly cheats. During the last level, when I had him pinned down, he was spouting every single unit rapidly, sometimes he even had 2 knights appearing within a second of each other, showing that not only does he have unlimited gold, but he doesn't even follow the proper training time for the units.
Huh, I have chrome 6.0.472.63 and it's working fine. Anyway, wow, so many things I missed the first time through, like how the mayor blamed the butterflies for his father's death, and cut off relationships with them, finally deciding to begin to restore the relations after he found out the truth from your story.
Hmm...Neesan means sister in Japanese, so.... her notes were written down by her sister, sister? Heh, nice touch. Sounds just like the evil that is Aku. XD (Aku means evil in Japanese)
The most damage I've seen so far was about 6,400. I used the chaos desert's burning + extra bullets to a great sea mage who absorbed it all and threw it all back at me next turn. XD Speaking of which, if you absorb more than 1,000 damage, the 4th digit doesn't show, making it look like you absorbed much less than you did.
@Lodewyk You don't receive the full story after talking to him. You get more of his part of the story, but only by continuing to talk to other villagers about him and investigating do you obtain the full story.
Wow, I had to play that twice to fully understand and appreciate the story. Awesome job. Gotta wonder why people don't seem to mind you stealing their stuff though. (i.e. the pot, amulet, empty potion bottle, flint, etc.) And what's up with acorns lying on the ground? Aren't they currency? It just seems odd that they would be laying there. Of course the story's so great and the game so wonderfully produced that I don't mind these things one bit. ;)
Absolutely incredible. Amazing story, great music that fits perfectly, superb graphics...I can't think of anything but praise for this game. It is my sincere hope that you continue this series. Thank you for making this game.
Oh, and sometimes when counting down he repeats the word two. Speaking of which, the voice-acting is very poorly balanced against the music and other noise. The subtitles help, but it would be nice is I could actually hear him.
First of all, awesome game, love the music and cryptic storyline to death. One note though, during the 2nd boss fight, the rocks are made so that while you're moving to the left or right occasionally you can't jump since you're moving down and are SLIGHTLY above the ground. This has caused me to get hurt unnecessarily
Let me get this straight. I break into a drawer to get a fishnet so that I don't kill the fish when taking it out and put it into a glass that will kill is very quickly anyway so that I can steal its bowl to link up to a broken clock and light-bulb by a telephone cord to transform into a teleportation machine that I use instead of steal while showing all the cunning stealth skills of Naruto.
As much as I want to like this game I don't. The combinations can be solved quickly through trial and error, the solution makes no sense, the objects make no sense (Breaking into a drawer to get a fish net, seriously?) The art style also is just weird - a secret agent with orange clothing? Also, things that you would think should be clickable aren't. What about the door? Why not try to get out? If we were just trying to find the invention, why actually use it to teleport to god knows where? It's also just really easy. And please explain the story more. I'm an orange secret agent "breaking" into a lab that keeps its inventions separated into parts like fishbowls and telephone cords? Would he really cut off his telephone cord, kill his fish, and cut open his couch every time he wanted to make his invention? Too many problems with the game for me to like it, sorry.
