Great with the update, at last! :) Unfortunately, there seems to be a little issue with the upgrades. The "begin with N Hz on hardfork" upgrade works directly against the "double Hz on buy" upgrade. Why? Because if I start with, say, 2 extra Hz, then my first purchase of 2Hz will cost 2 IP instead of 1. It is easy to see how quickly the extra start Hz upgrade will not only become worthless but outright harmful to my progress. Please eliminate the cost increase OR balance the upgrade in some other way so that it'll be worth it. Now it isn't.
Hello, yes the cost thing is on my agenda! Next up: events
What?
- Leaderboard for events
- Leaderboard for other stuff
- Both are cross-platform
- Events: events that change everyday and can be completed every hour. repeats every week, compete in leaderboard for time tokens , every attempt rewards time tokens depending on progress. each event is very unique and hopefully will be addictive and competitive. (time change causes you to be out of the leaderboard for the week, dont be stupid).
- hopefully finish node upgrades and reforge
Wanted to reply with this just in case it takes forever to update again. I am currently 1/8 done with this and go leaderboard going.
The game has a lot of potential, but progression is EXTREMELY slow. Feels like I'll never be lvl 11. Might check back in a few days to see if there's been any update.
Currently testing code for rebirth system. This one fix the horrible slowness for levels but it will help you progress a bit further. Next will be dungeons which will help all areas of the game. Then finally the first Titan. There will be small patches in between all of these to help game play and user friendliness on the whole. I would say about 3 weeks until the first Titan and the game can be considered complete.
This was done to mitigate a Continue game issue, I've had; It will be saved in the not too distant future when I'm certain most of those with progress before the last update have played (updating their save) so the continue game button doesn't try to load a variable that didn't exist before the update. The value 'is' saving, it just isn't loaded.
After playing for several days, here's my $ .02. Leveling up to lvl 10 is easy-peasy. 11 is a bit challenging. 12 is very tough. 13 I estimate to take another 2-3 days (if I don't give up the whole thing before, which is quite probable). Besides, I haven't noticed any major progression between prestige 0 and prestige 7. Sure, there is a kickstart, but that melts quickly and doesn't really help. Why? Because advancing levels, as stated above, becomes ridiculously hard very quickly. Suggestions: 1. increase plane merging XP quotient so that high-level merges earn drastically more XP than today. 2. Increase prestige reward. A lot. 3. Decrease levelling XP quotient. This would do the same thing as #1 just from the other end of things (making it easier to level past 10), so you decide which one to take. But one must happen lest the game stays long-term unplayable. 4. Do something with the memory leak in plane buying mode!
Is it just me, or speed upgrades have been nerfed? Before the update, upgrading it from a 0.1 s level to the next one used to take ca. 700x the cost of the previous full level-up. Now it's closer to 3,000x. Yes, it definitely has been nerfed, and the Satoshi thing nowhere near compensates for that. Progress halts to a grind already around ~e90 Ethereum (and that doesn't feel good, mind you).
I don't know what and why changed on the Wei/Ethereum screen, but the constant need to scroll up and down to see all my upgrades is just plain annoying. Pretty please, some option to change font size so the text fits into the game window? (No, fullscreen doesn't help, because this is a problem inside the game window).
@JablesB1 thanks for the info, I realized in the meantime it indeed works like that. I wouldn't risk commenting that design decision, though, for fear of being banned from the site. :)
I'm stuck shortly after the beginning, the Hint button doesn't work, and the limited number of clicks is just about the most frustrating design element I've ever encountered in a point-and-click. 1/5 for now, might check back later to see if something improved.
Something isn't right with the auto-buyers. I'm on layer 4 and all autobuyers for layers 1 to 3 are bought and enabled. Still, it doesn't prestige and buy the levels as intended. This is a relatively new bug, introduced yesterday or so.
@zachbc1: what are your plans regarding the next update? I don't know about the other players, but having gone from daily updates to absolute silence for two weeks makes at least me a bit concerned about the further development of this promising game (sorry, have seen that a lot here on Kong). Besides, as you yourself acknowledged in some reply, the game simply lacks the proper content to go above ~e400 (and even that is a hell of a grind).
Currently, the beta bitcoin update is active for android and kartridge and I'm waiting for more feedback before I add a little more content for you guys. School just started so I have been *very* busy and updates will slow down. Sorry for the inconvenience, next update will be calling your name (specifically people > e308)! :) Also offline progress is in WIP. So for now, don't bother grinding for further progress since you are ready for second tier prestige phase.
I agree with some of the comments regarding the absurd walls. I found mine around floor 25-26, which seems nearly impossible to pass even after days of grinding. True, idle games ought to have walls, but it takes careful balancing to make them challenging instead of annoying. This game is unfortunately not there yet. Mind you @BPrime, I'm afraid you have larger concerns than the healing AI if your cleric gets hit at all. The optimal setup is damage dealer (as many as you can afford, cleric, and then tank in the front with a lot of HP and armor. I still haven't optimized fully how HP and armor should be distributed (former is good against bosses, latter against larger swarms), but anyway. The tank should soak up all the incoming damage, and the cleric should heal the tank. All other setups are suboptimal. And yes, if the tank dies, the rest of the party is doomed anyway.
My progress has considerably slowed since the update, and I'm pretty early game (ca. 30X achievements bonus). This is a very unwelcome - and hopefully unintended - nerf that will be corrected in the next update. More precisely, the value 1 & 2 bonus by time improvement needs to be adjusted to make it (almost) worthwhile to improve time, i.e. in the x5-x7 range instead of x1.5.
[BUG] Spell charges are not saved, so after a server offline event or game freezing (both happen all too often) I'm there with zero charges instead of all 99's.
OK, now I'm through several hundred item creations/rerolls without the slightest hint of an Understanding/knowledge bonus. I understand it shouldn't be a common attribute, but this is as it is now some proficient Displeasing...
