It's a nice touch that the beards grey out, I like that a lot.
Also: Did Rogue Legacy serve as inspiration to this?
Giving them different weapons would've been pretty cool, but I guess that can be very much excused due to the short time it takes to get through.

I like that the first of the rune writings say: FIUE-FOT HIGH-WE-DAR, so you'd think the others make almost no sense too, but, when you still won't give up on it, You'll find that some say: FRESH PRINCE. But I dunno' why

You'd think in the three hundred or so years it took to get over the mountains someone might have given a thought to maybe going around instead.

Brilliant game concept, but sluggish/unresponsive controls in a precision platformer are -never- a good thing. 2/5, but if that gets fixed, easily 4/5 if not 5/5.

Is it wrong if I like goosebumps at the end... 14 men all left their families knowing they were going to die in the cold. But they knew in the end it'd be worth it, because they knew that one day, somehow, what they did would make it so that their ancestors could make it... even if all they did was set a gravestone on top of a trap so that the next person will actually notice it...

Viktor XII discovered the promised land but as he let his child behind, Viktor XIII spent his life wandering in the cold just to be killed by some spikes. However, as tradition dictates, Viktor XIII also left his own child behind before leaving so that Viktor XIV could succeed after a 15 years long trip. Probably to late to meet his grandfather but at least only great warriors are allowed in the Green Land.

Very nice concept. However, I want to see this in a larger scale, like war that spans multiple generations or migration with "checkpoints" (even without obstacles, it still is impossible to move from snowy land to evergreen plains in one generation)

Nice game, and I really liked that the runes means actually something: "five feet high the door" and "fresh printe" :)

Realy nice game :)
I wished there would have been an easter egg after finishing the game - I started it again hopeful to play with another char, the child or whoever traveling the straightened way :)

This isn't just fun (and cute), it's really well-designed. Not only does each Viktor's victory help you get further, but it's carefully planned so that doing so actually blocks the slow, already-traveled path to keep the player from going back over things they've already finished. It's an amazing attention to detail, and I really look forward to more games from y'all. (A sequel? Viktor the (N+1)th?)

You made a very good game here. Took me two reincarnations to realize that time is ticking but the fading beardcolor (as awesome as it is) helped me understand that. 4/5
I really would like to see more levels and a sequel...

@greenje11y, the enemies that throws snowballs melt when you get close to them. They freeze again once you're further, so just charge them.

Great game and cool concepts. The deaths for certain parts and inevitable and I like that :) it would be cool if it had harder modes on it with less time per life. Like 30 years=easy 25 years= medium and 20 years= hard

...So in this game, if something goes wrong: can we actually blame our 'No-good-dirty-rotten-pig-stealing Great-great-grandfather'?

Here lies Viktor the XIV. The path open to him, but he wasn't able to muster up the energy to walk the last few steps. Survived by his son, who had a gentle stroll to the greenery on the other side.

wow... this family has amazing luck that every single generation turns out to be another boy... would be funny if a VIKTORIA showed up XD

I needed roughly 5 Viktor's to be able to speedrun this game. I was about to make it using only four, but I ran out of time.

Report Olaf for feeding, nerf Nunu because he just won't die, and ban Warwick because he always just runs around in circles like a dog.

Viktor the IV made it, the levers were pretty predictable until the very last sequence with 4 levers, which really makes you rush.

I'm somewhat confused as to what these guys' goals are; so great, now 7 generations have sacrificed the better portion of their lives to make it to a nice non-snowy place where their family could thrive!...too bad their wives and children are about a 20+ year's march behind them in a snowy wasteland. Ultimately what you should've had was a small hallway under the mountain with a gate in the beginning where, at the very end, you jump on a button and it opens up a path that's a straight shot through, suggesting that at that point all future generations could easily make their way. Also, I suppose it's his son seeing each one off, but if so it's really confusing that he has long, braided hair. For a while I thought maybe they just had really small wives.

I have a love-hate relationship with the tombstones. I love them because I like to see what they say, but I hate them because I just had to die to everything I saw.
