Survival seemed way too easy (and boring). Just built lots of cruisers, couple of repair-drones and max control drones. I reached wave 48 in my first try (and I just hit next wave button for the last 10 levels...).

RTS can be made by anything you want! I think in the future we will make RTS like the big ones today and somone will say the same thing...

this game really sucks. it tries to do a concept that shouldnt be done in a flash game. even though its a SIMPLE RTS, its boring and is devoid of strategy. leave the RTS for real games, not flash games.

I wasted so much time on level 8 thinking that when the time ran out, the enemy would come to me, but I was wrong. I failed the mission with all technology, an army of like 20, and 90 control, and like 999 ore. Maybe if the description of the mission had been clearer, and not some stupid story that confuses you, I would have known to go after them, but I guess not, since you were too busy working on aspects of the game that suck anyway.

2-cruiser
3- command and repair
4-defense
5-cruiser and repair
6-defense
7-command and cruiser and repair
7~10 damage upgrade and more cruisers
11~30 cruisers and commands keep adding finish all upgrade and repair can be 6 needed. when its round 30, just die and get badge ^^

REALLY easy.. at some point in survival you just can`t build more, no upgrades.. just wait for repairs and click next, sometimes something dies, build a new one.. also ctrl+click doesnt work on mac, which makes controlling battles even more impossible (tho unneccessairy, could be fun). concept is fun, but needs expanding and more control over gameplay.

Hehe, just swarm them with striker drones in survival mode, they can dodge the silo's missiles so its easy, they never even get hit, good game, not enough money in Survival mode, 4/5

A good game... and a bit too easy.
Tip: First build 4-6 suppliers, upgrade refinery, upgrade damage and then build some cruisers. With this tactic I've beaten almost whole game. Useful!

Omg i was about to get the card and all my units bugged near my ship. i couldnt move them or make them attack !!!
i'm plating this game only to get card... buy it's not a bad game, i'm just tired of it....

needs improovmen the down factor for me is the survival mode were u only get 100 ore per wave u defeat so i giv it a 5/5 for grafics but a 2/5 for game play

Finally, done with the stupid challenge
Good concept, but poor execution.
More Production buildings, more diverse upgrades, a bigger field of view, smoother attacking and moving units(not to mention smoother target acquisition, its hard to click for them to attack even)

Survival mode was tough with v1.30, now it is easy with v1.31. Just create a cruiser, then a repair drone, after that a few more cruisers. Upgrade defense at least once early to survive one-on-one attacks. Create more cruisers and research everything else. Only the first few levels are critical. after level 10 the rest is a piece of cake.

For those people who say that there needs to be more, you should try making a better game with only flash. This game is really good in my eyes. 5/5.

Finally learned how to get past Level 20 (took me long enough!), only to have the game crash. Not my PC, just the game. Oh well, if I learned anything, it should be less confusing to try it again. I am finding the game a bit more fun having read the manual (gasp!) and making a list of the hotkeys. WooHoo! Hotkeys are a real handy tool, after all.

I liked it well enough. I thought that the times it took to upgrade and repair things was far too long given time constraints. I did like that all attacks had to physically impact the target, I was using Control Drones to shield my Mothership when things got hairy.

survivor mode should end at wave 30... there isnt much of a challenge after that, especially because the population is capped at 99 anyway...

This game looked like it was going to be fun. The game is boring, the tutorials are the same, though the graphics are nice and smooth, the interface is FAR to small. I can see maybe a tiny fraction of what is going on. It is jumpy to navigate across the map and to click of units is just... ridiculous. This could be improved to make a good game.

If you are going to take on the RTS genre you really need more than 8 units and slow clunky play. Ad for this weeks challenge slog through this less than entertaining game, thanks Kongregate.

sorry, nearly forgot, this skirmish mode should be harder, even doubling and quadrupling the AI's start cash I was able to win easy...

Drone Wars 2... Expand skirmish mode, enable mothership creation, destroy enemy bases and start colonies with other ore asteroids then take over the universe muah ha ha....

That survuval is too hard becose those war droids go where ever they want, normally they just run to mine instead of firing it. and if 3 enemy attack and u have 3 droid, in baddest chase they all go lone against one enemy.

graphics are great, and everything runs smooth, but it's boring as all hell, and not at all innovative enough to keep me interested. It needs massive speeding up, and some more quirks before I'd even consider playing again.
The only reason I even got the card was because the cheat makes it ridiculously easy.
and even that was tedious.

... this game kinda sucks. but, on to constructive criticism. ai is not very good, and therefore the arcade mode is a breeze. repair drone is set to autorepair anytime you ask it to repair something. that last comment is very important in terms of playing survival since the repiar bot autmatically repairs using the ore you gain from defeating a wave. i realize that this turns off, but it's a hassle to repeat turning or repair especially since it activates whenever a repair is done. also hotkeying sould be very handy as the repair drone tries to repair another unit as you try to select it. i realize that you have to deselect the drone, that requires pressing esc or clicking the drone itself. so far those are my biggest issues and im sure to find more as i try to finish this week's challenge.

I just fixed the gray icon drag bug. Looked over my 6000 lines of code and I forgot to add a "delete this.onReleaseOutside" . I also gave a little more in Survival mode, every level is +(100+((wave-1)*5) my old formula. If the mouse acts funny reload.

On my Mac with Firefox 3, the keyboard commands don't work at all. And it's not like the game doesn't have focus; I'm clicking on it all the time! The interface is far too lousy for it to be playable with just the mouse. The rest of the game is okay-ish.

I like it. The survival mode is a good challenge. I didn't find any bugs. Art looks good. Music's nothing epic, but it works okay. 5/5, this is well done!
