My first terrible experience on Kongregate. Truly didn't deserve a card, and really doesn't deserve a place on such a prime site. Game was frustrating and being forced to resort to cheap tactics in survival mode, definitely hurts ones ego.

This is pretty good for a free game. This is not as bad as most people say and I have had no problems with any glitches or badges. I have won the challenge and all the badges easily and with no problems at all.

Agreed. Worst challenge to date, not overly hard but the game itself sucks. Half the time my clicks don't even register and when the do they are and inch and half above and to the left of where I actually clicked. .5/5

Well, the 300 ore (instead of the original 100) made it much easier to get a foothold in the beginning of the game. The attacking units were tamed down as well, I believe.

I died around level 35, mainly because I had lost interest in continuing... Had all available upgrade and got 3400 points...

I think this game has potential. Needs more upgrades and drones, the ability to zoom out (space is an issue as you get more drones)... The arcade version could be expanded. (I enjoyed mining for ore and think more levels could explore this). Sound effects were bleh. But it's hard to get sounds effects to NOT sound repetitive when the game revolves around repeating actions...The animation is clean at least, I had no issues with lag on my system (and in Firefox)

Thunder, there's hundreds of games on this site. The fact that this one is "halfway decent" in no way means that it should be singled out to receive card and badge challenges. So the creator worked hard to make a free game- that's great. So did ever other person who made a game for this site, and this game falls short of a good number of those.

Wow, level 31, all technologies, and it only counted as 3600 points. The badge is not nearly worth enough to me to make me play that again.

RTS lives and dies on the quality of its controls. In the last few missions, the slowdown was so terrible, I often would get wierd artifacts and eventually gave up on anything more interesting than sending my drones to a corner of the map...which usually to at least two tries. The countdown timer was running at 1 second every 2-3 real seconds. It was terrible.
Also? The build queue is both opaque and SLOW. one trickles out units in a most frustrating manner, and screwing up the build queue (due to overestimating the enemy or misclicking) takes forever to clear...
More explicit unit descriptions would help.

Re: Thunder--I have the card now and both badges and I STILL think the game is the worst-by-far challenge game on Kongregate. This isn't a RTS game as the simple "strategy" of spamming cruisers is pretty much good enough to get both badges. There's /slightly/ more planning that that, mind, but that never even approaches anything interesting. Boring, boring, boring.

I was thoroughly impressed! Takes a bit of intelligence to actually learn and understand the game play, but once you learn the basic Quirks and gameplay it is really fun...and I would deffinitley reccomend to anyone who doesnt get frustrated easily...These people who give it bad ratings obviously lack the capacity to endure challenges or just suck at general thought processes! lol and if I offended anyone (accept for those who bash someone for attempting to create a game that is halfway decent AND FREE TO PLAY!!!!) then please...Feel free to leave me a message and I will happily defend my position... this game is so laggy at times, and i have a good computer and put the quality settings on low. then at times the mouse doesnt work and the game isnt good by its self... the card should not be for this game...

Worst card challenge game I've ever played. Half the controls don't work and the AI is awful. Survival mode is ridiculous when the units with full health sit around and don't fight and the ones with no health engage when I tell them to run.

Wasn't too interesting. 2/5...great scripting but it just wasn't that fun. The badges/cards were painful to get (Did it on my first attempt but it felt like FOREVER!) I hope you do something besides a Flash RTS game next time...you have talent in scripting~

to all of you complaining about survival: yes, we know this game kinda sucks. just upgrade damage and armor, buy cruisers, and get a repair droid once in a while. figure it out, it's not hard.

Although it is the first proper flash RTS that works, it lacks any fun or drive. A necessary step towards flash RTS's but boring as hell.

For survival build 1 cruiser in the first round and spend the rest on shield and damage. Get your damage and shield as high as possible before buying lots of ships because otherwise you end up with 4-5 ships that are still level 1 dam and you wont win. about the 3-4th round buy a repair droid. I got to level 31 like this.

Tried it again, thinking I was too harsh. Hope, I hate it even more now. Forget the badges and the card: I really don't care this time.

I don't like this game at all... it's just boring. The controls are clunky, the map tiny, the units and upgrades uninteresting and boring.
I can't point to a better example of a flash RTS game but perhaps it's a genre best left alone.

Why this got featured is beyond me. It just fails in the basic foundations, its not FUN. Poor AI and sloppy controls makes a pretty bad RTS, and this game got both.

Meeh..I hated most of it.In survival, if I wanted 3 ships to attack one enemy,2 would, the other would become independent on me.That pissed me off, when I want to triple-team enemys.Screw the badge.

this game is frustratingly awful. nothing does what you want it to do. possibly one of the worst starcraft knockoffs i've ever seen. if arcade mode wasn't boring enough, survival mode is pure torture with it's horrible monetary system. the more i played the more i hated it. at first i thought it was okay and gave it 3/5, but now not so much. i can't believe kongregate gave it two badges AND made it the cover game; horrible mistake. i got to level ten of survival before i just couldn't take it anymore. screw the card

Wow, the game glitched at wave 30 on the last enemy. The radar said there was still an enemy there but it wasn't, got the badge but only just.

Another couple things
1. Why is there collision between space ships. I am in friggin space, Why is it so hard to fly over top of something.
2. The missiles are retarded
3. your concept of upgrading for the cost of winning a round is retarded
4. the cost of the "best" ship is 1 and a half rounds and can be destroyed by a missile.

This AI is terrible too, there's no wait command, the repair drone repairs even when I don't want it to, and they stop to attack instead of running away when I tell them to.

Overall, very forgettable RTS wannabe. Lack of rightclick controls and edge scrolling dooms this from the start, nearly uncontrollable with more than a few units.
