I'm not that knowledgeable about coding, but is there any way to make ships attack the nearest enemy instead of a random enemy? Also, is it possible to make clicking on an enemy make the ships selected attack it and stop them from wandering off?

Indeed as well, the targeting system is all screwy... hopefully this tip will help people who're getting frustrated. If you click on an enemy unit, it will first try to fly almost on top of them before attempting to attack. DON'T actually click on the unit if at all possible. As the survival mode went on, I realized that what I really had to do was to click about two inches on the screen further away from the target, and pointing in the direction I wanted them to shoot. At that point, they finally became efficient killing machines instead of worthless fodder. So in other words, the targeting mode requires more than just "click on enemy and forget", though they misleadingly imply that such is the case. Once you realize that it's more like leading the target and pointing your unit in the direction they should fire, the game gets a little easier.

Boring game, too slow, bad unit response, lack of right click in an RTS is painful.
I was playing survival mode and I'd maxed out (99 control) at around level 20. Finished up the badge at level 30 easily and got bored, I honestly didnt have any desire whatsoever to continue even though I had 1000 reasource and maxed units with everything completely repaired, I honestly could have easily kept going, but I was so bored I just quit.

Yeah, that "upgrades only apply to units made afterwords" thing almost killed me. I found using old ones as distraction fodder helped a little. If upgrades are supposed to work this way they need to document it. It sure took me by surprise, it almost got me killed at ~ round 15 before I realized it.

Crappy game. AI has crappy reaction time, don't auto attack for the longest time, upgrades dont take effect immediatly, VERY buggy, and overall a piece of shit. 1/5. If you debugged this game and made it decent, I'd give it better, but as you can see, it has so many complaints. I got the badge, so I'm not mad there, but it didn't deserve the publicity brought on by the badge.

Yeah, the game was perfectly tuned to become extremely difficult at level 29 and 30.
The trick I found, however, was simple... and it allowed me to win round 30 with only 2 attacking units left.
Take all of your other units, and use them as decoys. Literally place them in a parameter around your base. The incoming baddies will attack them, leaving your attacking craft to sweep in for a pincer.
Once you have them pincered (especially their slow missile shooters), they die without you taking a hit. The only problem is that this technique works only once... having sacrificed your non-combat units, you're dead for sure next round. But if you save it for level 30, you can pull this "Ender's Game-esque" maneuver to get the final badge.

this is in response to mission 5 on arcade mode. this is so bad and difficult that I don't even want to get the badge. and that NEVER has happened before. what do you think you are trying to do making an RTS in flash, unless you come out with an awesome keyboard shortcut system (which you OBVIOUSLY didn't) 2/5

decided to give this one more try on survival mode, once I got up to 10 ships destroyed because they decided to try and fly through an enemy instead of attack it I gave up and rerated to a 1 star.

Does this happen to anyone else: My cruisers just suddenly stop attacking. They'll be on a target and shooting it, then when I look back, thinking "the opponent must be dead by now" I just see a Cruiser staring them down while they attack the mother ship.

yet another bug. round 2 of survival. ALL my units wont move off their position, attack, repair, do anything at all really, while the enemy shoots my mothership. yay.

Bug on survival mode... one of the enemy ships turned grey instead of exploding. I hit exit, hoping I was over 3,800 points, and that it would give me points.... 3,700.

The control issues are TERRIBLE, the game speed is slow. If you are too weak of a game designer to make intuitive controls, at least force the player to learn all of the controls in the tutorial missions. The ships/tech are all uncreative, and thinking just a little bit about something fun/creative would help a lot.
This would be a good beta, but it's a terrible final version.

Similar to Starcraft grouping hotkeys. WIshing for right-click but oh well. Really easy badge. Got the hard first try, and I'm on wave 42 as I type this and am about to suicide cause this is pretty easy.

This game seemed way too easy to be honest. I really liked it though and would probably give it 3.5/5. Just make it harder. (yeah, that's what she said).

Its not that hard to get the card people, the start can be a bit tough but i focused on Crusers and upgrading with 1 repair bot and it worked fine. i gave up at lvl 35 and my ships got me till wave 41 so i got a nice round 5000 points.
Just keep the cruser/upgrades balanced and u'll be fine.

added comment, u should add a feature that tells how drones positions themselves. Some ai games put multi units in a clump, nut this one makes them group in a ring, which is good at some times, but bad because it leaves gaps in defence postions

I am definately not in this game's demographic but I can see how it could appeal to some. I just wanna get the freaking card and never play it again.

good start bbut needs alot of improvement. one as laynel said there needs to be specialty buildings and turrets. you should be able to click on the parts of the mini map to send the people there or able to make i box on the minimap to select things. that would make it much easier. also there should be upgrades so your miner doesent move like a dead slug the whole game. lastly you should expand the amount of units available

Survival mode could use some tweaks to be fun. Arcade mode was interesting enough. Could stand to have more developments and tweaks. Smaller units over lapping with the mother ship was a buzz kill.

Somewhat boring... I agree with the comment that the view is too big... Waaay too easy too. When you can get 45 points and the card in one try, it's got to be harder. 30 points for a score of 2000? When I got 6000+ on first try? Bah.
For the folks who say it's too hard:
Wave 1) Cruiser
Wave 2) Repair bot, control drone
after that, pretty much just alternate between cruisers and tech (damage, then plating, then thrusters. Why thrusters? 100 pts toward your score.)
The game -could- be fun if it was tweaked a bit... but as it stands: 3/5.

that all units are the same, no different races, and that 100 minerals a wave is just not enough.
