Is this done by a real timer or by Frames? cause seriously i simply cant get to 8 seconds no matter what i do (and thats first lvl, i somehow cant move fast enough, simply cant).
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
I just found out you can get Platinum medals if you're fast enough. Under 11:80 for level 3, for example, gets you platinum.

Saying "it's hard" doesn't excuse clumsy mechanics. I like a challenge, same as the next guy, but I won't be wasting any more time with this game.

The contrast ration between the background and the foreground is unbearably bad. I can only explain it by the designer using a non-calibrated cheap TFT display. Sorry, but you’re a professional! You have to know how to handle color!

THe controls need to be more responsive, as they are even pressing in a decent reaction time will leave you watching yourself fly into objects that you could have avoided otherwise
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Nice, but the main cause of difficulty is because of a terrible color palette selection, not level design. If Mr. Runner and the Platforms didn't blend into the mountains in the backgrounds, it would be more fun. 4/5.
PS @Thirster42 - you can use the Spacebar for next (or at least I can)

Yay...bunch of people click "+" on irrelevant crap and legit comments are missed. Anyway...I have to agree with others, it just feels clunky. Ignoring my automatic distaste for games with wall jumps, the checkpoints are horribly placed. You spend half the time backing up from the checkpoint you just spawned at so you have enough speed to move on.

this would be a good game if the controls were actually responsive. It's only hard because the guy takes at least half a second to pop up after sliding or do a wall jump. Fix it!

the last checkpoint of the last lvl is where it gets real thoug, have they forgotten to program a wall over there or what?
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Oh my god, this game is so fun.
This is what sonic should be like. not just crazy SPEEEEEEED
Also, the checkpoints are perfect!

The mute button is in the top left corner of the screen guys.... Pretty good game this one actually. A bit short though, and the wall jumping tutorial should be more in-depth. The walljumping works great if you know how to use it though. Sliding was fun, the ice was good, precision jumping quite easy because of the long float if you just hold the jump button. I can't be arsed to get gold medals/less total time if there's no achievements/badgers though. 5/5'd because the gameplay is plain great, and the level-name subtitles are quite the awesome.

Remember when we used to play games cause they were hard and took some effort, and we made comments to thank the author or provide feedback, not just to bitch about the new comments system? Yeah, the good 'ole days. I like this one, it's tough but fun. Almost finished with it, medaling on some levels, not so much on others. It takes time to learn the controls but they're not that bad. 4/5.

people commenting this game as awesome super great sonic the hedgehog style speed woot woot, propably just played few first levels. This game is ok, nothing to be excited about. Graphics are decent (Yea I know they are supposed to be pixeled) because most of the latest game developers are using this pixel graphics which has become a new trend or sth. Concept is also ok (the running games aren't new too and people are launching them one by one).
I don't get it why the screen has to move each time you die to your checkpoint, the camera movement is rather slow for a game where every seccond counts, and slow enough to let you kill yourself holding the right button. Some very weird jump reactions and the wall jumping method is very difficult to master.
Finished all the levels, nice job on the game.

The clock seems to run independent of the framerate, which means if you're killing time on an old computer, you won't get gold even on a perfect run. Is this to discourage cheating? I don't know. Also, I'm getting a recorded time of .05-.15 seconds more than the time posted at the finish line. I'll have to withhold judgement until I try it on a newer machine.

This is what Sonic the Hedgehog should always have been. Sonic games never handled lookahead and death well, there were always such abrupt stops in a game about speed. The checkpoints in Mr. Runner are handled superbly, and the reaction windows are just long enough to really demand something of you without seeming unfair.
I can understand complaints about difficulty, but I appreciate it. If you want to be handed a "you win" screen, there are boatloads of flash games that do that already. I'm glad that one of the few challenging games here is of such high quality.

There. Done.
GOD. THOSE. LAST. TWO. LEVELS. ARE. IMPOSSIBLE!!!!
Seriously, incredible difficulty is one thing. Incredible difficulty plus stupid control = fail.
Still liked it though.

Ok, this is just an amazing game. If you don't have the patience to figure it out, maybe it's not for you. HOWEVER, if you've ever liked a free running game this is right up your alley. Sure, it'll make you want to tear your hair out after ten levels but it's so so satisfying to actually medal.
