level 20 tip, try using a glitch and a centipede at the start of each portal while paused, unpause and see if it takes out enough towers to help

I was struggling through the "challenge" difficulty settings until I realized this: the programs you get are preset, BUT not the core points you can use, so you have to upgrade only the stuff you are going to use on each level.

Why is this game so laggy? Nothing else I've ever played on Kong runs as poorly as this, which was a huge disappointment since I enjoyed the first one.

An cheap and really easy way to beat difficult levels: get the tower that stuns enemies for 0.5 seconds ("Sentry") (fully upgraded), and load it with 2 expanders, 4 fully upgraded faster attack rate buffs ("Optimizer") and 1 splash damage buff ("splash"). Then the attack rate is 0.5 and everything that comes within range gets stuck, and they just build up until they die (x.x)
A few pitfalls, the gravitron enemy (sucks stuff in) negates splash, and beam isn't always 100% effective at this. Superusers and bosses have decreased effect duration and so make it through. Also, some levels simply don't have a big enough space to put a sentry with 2 expanders. Multiple paths defeat it too.
CORESECTOR, you may or may not want to change it. By the time one gets the expander buff there are enemies that it doesn't work against. I don't know how many challenge levels have all those items .
BTW Ghost Hacker is my favorite td. Original ideas that are interesting are rare. /hat off

Cool game, one of the better tower defense types I've played, really enjoy it.
One minor bug, if the player holds down one of the number keys for a tower while they don't have enough energy, the game will rapidly grind to a halt (presumably because the 'not enough energy' display is rapidly playing over itself?)

for me all is fine, until a transparent window ("level complete" etc) shows up. it grind's to a halt until it's faded in/out.

It was fun until level 20 when it became impossible. :( Overall a pretty good game! I do like that I can move towers and play around with the modules already in play. I do NOT like that I have to let towers recharge to place them, so I don't get to create a strategy focusing on one tower, but am forced to use more than one tower even if I think they are total crap.

Very good game. I like how you brought the inverse td levels out of the bonus into the main story. Also it is very convenient, that the upgrades can be placed freely. A clean 5/5 from me.

Seeing very few lag issue comments, and I had no issues myself. Maybe your computer is from the Hil + Billy line lokiplus?
I'm looking into a fix, but in the meantime you can go to the Adobe Flash configuration site and check the "Allow third-party Flash content to store data on your computer" checkbox.

I just beat lvl 17 on hard, use command shell(link,fork) and a scanner(beam) to handle decoys, then focus and some amplifier to handle axons

Awesome game. Kongregate really needs to add a badge for obtaining all the in-game achievements though. I feel like I shouldn't even bother with any of the challenge modes (although I will because this game is awesome).

I love this game. The aesthetic is great and the gameplay ideas are innovative. Unfortunately, the game abruptly stops being fun when the glitches show up

To me, it seemed like challenge mode required much less thinking since you dont have to worry about what programs to use each stage. However, I can see that they are designed to let you find a way through somewhat less intuitive alternative for each stage, which is very interesting indeed. Easily best tower defense game Ive played recently... this game lets you actually think in depths.

Best tower defense game, funny story and im betting i wasn't the only one waiting for a sequel checking every few weeks, amazeing game, and great humor (love how you prity much put all the wide spread ethical hacks into the game) xD
