While the game as such is fun, multiple solutions and the need to guess (with no tools to support trial-and-error) are huge drawbacks. So only 3/5 and playlist instead of favourites.

tip for 8x8 2-4: Once you get stuck start guessing since there seem to be many solutions. Was stuck for about 10 minutes then started guessing and took me about a minute to finish.

Protip: add all the numbers across where it goes above the total, but subtract only the numbers that you take away from what you added so you know which numbers to eliminate. This made 1-19 easy to beat for me.

The game STILL doesn't allow me to the next level after solving, so I'm stuck on level 6117. Other people have higher levels...

This is a very intuitive and fun puzzler. Sometimes holding down the cursor would switch the number from one status to the other instead of locking it, but otherwise it works well.

Insufficient clues, ambiguous solutions, guessing required - this belongs in the category luck/chance more than puzzle

If you're struggling, use Excel as an aid. Put in all the numbers into a table. Sum up each row and each column into the column and row next to this table. Then put what you actually need each column and row to sum to in an additional column and row. Then take the difference in a third additional column and row. This difference is what you actually want to play from: find the squares that need to be deleted to make this difference go down to 0.

Pretty easy once you know holding on a number locks it (on or off) and clicking on the totals tells you the current sum of what's in that row. Just need to find the numbers where, if you removed them, you couldn't then reach the total. Lock those ones "on" and go from there.

It is not a game with definite clues. Many times I have tried my chances to find a more convenient game. I have faked up estimated numbers. Eventually, I had the badge for 8×8 levels.
But, my brain has burned.

If anyone is stuck, I've written a solver that can be found here: https://gist.github.com/ygra/4d054235179ead26bea49ac65f1b8675. Takes between seconds and about 10 minutes on my machine, depending on the size of the puzzle (and 2–4 is on the harder end).

re: 8x8 2-4 rullos, i confirmed about half the board, so... i guess how much you can confirm depends heavily on the board

Great game however I think some of the 8*8 2-4 options do require guessing as there are too many open options. The first one I tried I gave up after about 20 minutes as there were only 4 numbers I could confirm and none I could discount. The second one I tried had 4 I could confirm and 4 I could discount so was "easier".

I've played 200 games on endless and my only complaint are the ones where a) there is more than one solution and b) where it feels like you just have to guess (and it never feels like you guess wrong).

... Conclusion: I definitely feel like this game is Great Exercise for quickening one’s counting/arithmetic abilities. Do this enough, and you’ll be able to arrive at the Total of a Line of Numbers in no time at all. Suddenly, an answer might just pop up in your mind, w/o any noticeable effort - and yes, this can certainly happen given enough cognitive work-outs - [in whatever category/area one is trying to improve]. Great Game.

... And I speak from no place of exaggeration [and nor do I desire to, having beholden really crummy, d-bag advertisements & marketing that play on people's fears and hopes and fantasies - I wish people would just show/describe their product/service w/o all the rinky-dink, trashy jazz-talk that essentially tells me NOTHING concrete & flat-out REAL about what's being offered and for WHO - "Oh, well, YES! - of course this product is for the WHOLE FAMILY - or FOR EVERYONE - and so on so, but I do, I do, I do digress] ... Anyway, no stretch here. Quite Simply: I breezed through the 4 Grids that Followed the First One in my short, Endless Run - notwithstanding what size showed up. I probably completed ALL 4 Grids combined faster than I completed just that 1 Grid that began my Endless Run. [And I'm no bragger. I'll say it straight when it's taking me hours to do a solitary in-game Task, w/o any fear or concern for how such p-poor performances can make me look. C'mon now! - it happens! ...

Wow. Putting the sleepy visuals & audio aside, this Game can become a good asset when it comes to number pattern recognition & being able to quickly provide the sum of a line of numbers. I crawled to start – counting, pacing myself, feeling a bit sluggish. After doing variegated Grid Sizes related to Badges, however, I simply amazed myself when going for the Final Badge – which required me to complete 3 Endless Levels in a Row. The First Grid took me quite a bit of time - [I was a wee bit quicker than before, having familiarized myself with the Game’s Rules & more speedily combining numbers due to prior recognition] - BUT ...

A few things I am would like:
Shift click to lock instead of hold button.
See the locked sum so far and how much more to remove. Right now it shows the enabled sum as a help, which is good but when you need to remove 34 it can be annoying.
Then again, some mental gymnastics is good for the brain.
Also, this thing is way too addictive and one-more-itis inducing.

I'm not overly fond of the 8x8 2-4 one, have to make guesses and even though there are many solutions, sometimes your guesses are wrong.

I really love this game. I think you should add a hint button as other math game like 0h n0 does to boost my motivation in time of need.

i love theese kinda games.. any w/ numbers/shapes/colors and require people w/ pure math logic can solve them.. just love this so much

I can solve any puzzle in a few milliseconds. Using a solver I made myself. The hard part is filling in all the input and marking the answer.
