you should play the website version instead, you get better items and lvl much quicker i started on this about a week earlier and my chars on the server are already 2x the lvl they are here. For a game that seems to consist almost exclusively of combat, the pace of combat is far too slow. Grinding gets old, but slow-paced grinding is even worse.

Money Trap.
The nail in the coffin for me: requiring tokens (that you have to buy) when finding better-than-rubbish loot: When you encounter special treasure in the full game, you need to hav tokens ready, or you can't pick it up.

limiting like hell and 1/5 actually i never gave a game 1/5 out of the 1000s i played but this deserved it. Keep you PAY TO PLAY game out of here.

In addition to the other comments I'd like to point out that even though there is little PvP type content, there is a constant need to make connections to the game server, making it almost as laggy as actual PvP games for those of us connecting over wifi or cellular connections...an understandable and worthwhile difficulty with the PvPs, in this case when combined with the turn system it becomes a pointless pain.

IMPORTANT NOTE TO REGULAR PLAYERS: If you delete your flash cookies you will lose your game, if you are inactive for more than 7 days you will lose your game. So if you have made a lot of progress in the game and want to make sure your account is not thrashed you MUST click on the link to our website from the logout page (click top right X button in-game) and register from there (make sure you are logged on as Guest).

And one more thing for those wishing to spend the months it takes to complete what was put on Kongregate, you might want to figure out a way how to save your cookies permently for this game. Because as others have said, and I just checked my game and it happened to me to, the game resets after so long and you lose all of your saved data. My guess is because my cookies or internet data got deleted somehow, not sure if that is it or not. It's not to big of a deal to me, seeing as I haven't played it first was submitting, but I could definately see how those that do would be very upset about it. Just thought I would warn those that do play.

And as oblenisk said, it drives away most gamers, and the proof is there for those that spend the time to look. A simple example would be to compare it to Monster Den, which is inferior in every possible way to this game but yet sits with over 5 million game plays because people return to play it, while this one still has less than 25 thousand plays because almost no one returns to play it. And for those saying it's rated to low (3.5), I would agree if it wasn't so restricted, but my guess is it would be much lower if both more people would have submitted their votes and edgebee wasn't campaigning at their website to get all of their users to vote a 5 star ratings, which if anyone visits their forums, they would see. While some might think it's a minimal impact, there really isn't many votes in the first place so the percentage of votes coming from edgebee is going to be much higher. Before the campaigning, it was below a 3 where I personally think it should be.

Well I haven't checked on this game in quite some time. I decided to come back to see if it was playable, but still the same unplayable gem of a game for multimillionaires. At least it's nice to see Oblenisk dishing out some advice and warding off people without tons of money to spend who might otherwise waste there time playing what is essentially a demo game that lets you advance through the smallest fraction possible each day. And after reading some of the comments from both here and edgebee, I fully don't expect it to ever change, so I probally won't be back again to play, just to help drive away potential victims who would of had the same feelings about the game as 99% of us. It's a shame that such a great game, which it is, will only ever have a small hardcore group to defend it while the majority of us will never return to it because of how restricted it is.

Probably because you have to pay money to get most of the content, and the game regulates your time.

I don't understand how many of the other rpgs on this site are ranked so much higher. having played both SQ and the other games, I think this is rated way too low. SQ blows every other RPG game I've played on Kongregate away.
