Under rating threshold (show) I see why it might tick you off about the game balancing, but that's how a lot of these P2P/F2P games hook F2P players. You should be proud that you're not stupid enough to shell out to protect your pride in some pointless online game, but I really don't think your anger here is righteous.

Under rating threshold (show) Game's nice, but how on earth do you progress with so few turns ? next spell in 20 levels, max 2 levels a day... all right I'll find another turn based I don't want to pay

Under rating threshold (show) It is a nice game but the enemies don't feel like they are balanced for free players. Items cost much more than you can get by fighting early battles. The game seems to be set up so that the only way to progress at a decent speed is to buy gold and outfit your crew with the best gear and smash everything in sight. If it wasn't for the turn issue this could be countered by grinding. However with the limited number of turns a day there is no practical way to progress without buying tokens, which is probably intentional.

Under rating threshold (show) And agrreed with you Obelisk. Kippy you need to learn to read before you make a statement and not be some robot who just jumps into a conversation and just starts repeating what everyone else is saying. There is logic behind both mine and Obelisks words you just got to look. It may be harder for you then others but just keep working at it and soon you will be able to upgrade that robot brain to a more improved one. Now I'm not saying you are going to be smart or anything but just keep hanging in there and you will reach your goal one day.

And while are whining might not change anything from there side at least people like us who may decide to read the comment section before they play will realize that its just a waste of there time. And if all of the whining I'm doing causes 1 person to not play this game, then guess what , I'm a happy man.

Under rating threshold (show) So that is what my problem is. I can deal with the fact the developer wants to make money and that the turns are not free. But I do not like when a developer tries to manipulate fans of his games into thinking one way when the fact is really something different. And for those that do like the turned based system, you probally dont know there will come a time when you reach a chest, find a really powerful weapon, and must purchase it to obtain it. Which is just another point showing you how wrong the developers statement is. Fact is that the players with these superior weapons will sit on top of the leaderboards while the ones without the cash will sit at the bottom.

Under rating threshold (show) But then he decides to allows people to buy however many turns they want and to allow those same people to do the things that the developer stated would not happen and that is how he inteded it to be. I'm sure I could have worded it much better but can you not see the Hypcrocity and deciet in that? That is where my problem is.If the developer really cared about giving everyone a fair shot which he stated was his sole intention in why he made the game the way he did, then he would either A. Not allow people to buy turns so they can rush up the leaderboards while the rest of us who cant afford it sit at the bottom. B. He could make all of the turns free so everyone has an equal shot at reaching the top of the leaderboards.

Under rating threshold (show) axelot my friend you are missing the point. Had you read through what I wrote I clearly stated that my beef wasn't with them trying to make money but rather the decietful ways they are marketing it to others out there. If you would have completely read my post then you would have known that. Because I don't have a problem with a developer laboring hours and hours on a game and they might want some money to compensate for it. But they are trying to decieve everyone by stating that the developer put the game this way in turn format because he wanted it to be a more casual experience. He then goes on to say that if he had given everyone free turns then whoever played the most all nighters would be at the top of the leader board.......... continued in next comment

Under rating threshold (show) Also I'd like to add after going to there website that not only can you buy more turns if you have the cash but items also. And whats makes these items even more specialer is that these items you can buy will be encountered somewhere in the game. So pretty much you find a chest it has a special powerful upper tier Item in it. Time to get excited right. Maybe not because you didn't realize it has a $5.99 cent price tag on it. Guess you better just put your greatest find back in the treasure box. Wow whoever is the lucky one to find that will be excited when they realized they found a treasure chest that they have to add loot to.

Under rating threshold (show) Lynixe you are absolutely wrong my friend. You are making the turn system to be better than what it is. For a casual gamer who may spend an hour playing or less a day, its still complete ungracious in the turn giving department. You get 12 turns a day which I would think could give you a max of 30 minutes of playing time but probally something closer to 10 or 15. I have absolutely no reason to come here, but the developer deserves an ear spanking so he getting it from me.

Under rating threshold (show) Obelisk you are absolutely correct and I share your feeling for the develpers. I'd kick them in there nads if I could. As Obelisk said before and the developer on his website, Here is a quote from there website. It says the reason that they limit the turns is because they wanted it to be a casual experience for players, and had there been unlimited turns, then whoever played the most in the begining would be at the top of the leaderboards. So according to them they wanted it to be fair for everyone. But then they turn around and are offering deals to buy more turns for anyone who has a little cash to dish out. Any non idiot can read between the lines of those last two sentences and realize that the real reason the turns are so limited is because the developer figures he will make more money doing it his way then a user friendly way. But that still doesn't give him the right to be a giant hypocrite and mislead people just so they dont think hes the greedy SOB he is.

Under rating threshold (show) It's a nice looking game, but asking people to pay money to grind random encounters in an rpg is a bit much even if it's micropayments. I can see myself maybe paying $5 for an optional endgame dungeon in a good flash rpg, this game wants you to pay for every breath your character takes, I'll probably forget it exists before I get out of the first dungeon.

Under rating threshold (show) nice game. The turn system is to allow ppl to break from the game, not playing it all day long. Besides, the series itself is not supposed to be finished in a or two day. I do not buy tokens too and I think that this games requires fair amount of planning and strategy to enjoy it to the fullest.

Under rating threshold (show) It's not a scam, Obeliskos, it's business, just like every other pay-to-play game out there. In fact, it's better than others which are only pay to play, because it offers something for free. A scam requires deceit.

Under rating threshold (show) I shouldn't have to go off and play another game or knick a goddamn sweater because developers seem to be stuck in the mindset that turn regeneration is a good idea. Besides, I'd have to wait a full 24 hours just to get 12 turns, which amounts to probably 2 minutes of playtime. Not balanced at all. Completely ridiculous. And it doesn't matter how old I am, I don't want to waste the money I work hard to get on a mediocre flash game. Don't say I'm a kid because I don't want to waste my hard earned money.

Under rating threshold (show) And an earlier comment said you can use EYE ARR ELL moneys to buy more turns. WHAT THE HELL. You can't limit players claiming that "without the turn system,... it would end up being whoever plays day and night becomes the most successful", THEN OFFER MORE TURNS THROUGH SPENDING REAL MONEY. IF PEOPLE ARE RETARDED ENOUGH TO DO THAT, THEN THE WHOLE SYSTEM IS COMPLETELY NULL AND VOID. THE BALANCE IS BROKEN. STUPID RICH PEOPLE EMPTY THEIR WALLETS TO GET AHEAD OF LEVELHEADED PLAYERS. THINK NEXT TIME. REMOVE THE TURN REGENERATION SYSTEM, OR SPEED IT THE HELL UP AND DON'T OFFER MORE TURNS FOR REAL MONEY.

Under rating threshold (show) This game looks fantastic and I would love the hell out of it if it wasn't for the incredibly slow turn recovery system. Having a number of turns is BEARABLE. It usually drives me away from most games, but I can live with it if the game is good enough. INCREASE THE GODDAMN TURN REGENERATION. I just hope you realize that the slow turn regeneration is the dominant reason this game doesn't have a 4/5 or more. You have most likely cheated yourself out of the weekly prize and a massive praise. Congratulations.

Under rating threshold (show) A new turn every 2 hours? Fail. A lot of web games like Kingdom of Loathing suffer from the curse of having a limited amount of turns, but at least you get like, 50 every day and can restore turns by eating food. But in this game, you apparently have to wait 100 hours (about 4 days) to get that very same amount of turns. I read the FAQ topic "Why are there turns" and I think DO agree with the casual thing. BUT ONE TURN EVERY 2 HOURS IS RIDICULOUS. And I assume you can't recover turns ANY OTHER WAY can you?

Under rating threshold (show) Encountering monsters takes one turn equals 1/5, I hope you die etc., even better yet, I hope your family goes with you and any sponsors realise that you should be paying them. Flash games are supposed to be free entertainment. A turn/2hours doesn't do that. If you had a turn/10minutes, well, it could probably do.. barely.

Under rating threshold (show) It is a good game it really is. Unfortunately they want to turn it in to a more direct money making exercise than simple ad revenue. If you go to there site they sell "coins" which can be used to buy things including turns. Not cool man. Ditch the multiplayer function and the meta turn system and you have a great flash game that will generate tons of ad revenue. Should be 5/5 gets a 1/5.

Under rating threshold (show) well i have to agree with the rest of the people. awesome game but I wish I would have known exactly what everyone meant when they said there was a turn limit and I wouldn't have even wasted my time. So I will explain for those that read the comments before they play. Basically you get to play the game which is cool but you only have like 20 turns and then it stops you from playing anymore and says you have reached your turn limit, come back later when you have more turns. It also states turns build up over time, does anyone know how long it takes to build up. My guess is something like 1 turn an hour but if anyone knows the exact amount it would be really helpful. So I agree with everyone easy 5/5 but it gets a 1/5 for basically being unplayable and has seen the last of me.
