Pixel drop almost seems better than health regen cause you can run a big circle kill a bunch of enemies let everything stack up in one spot then just run through them all and level up for full hp. Worked well until the 40's....

If you're going to make an arena shooter, make the borders more apparent.
Also, why are the tiniest purple enemies near-invincible?
Apart from auto-fire, the max levels are too low.
There's no upgrade (except Crtical) for weapon damage.

This game is fun, very intense. Tons of enemies around me, it's hard to look in all directions. Low on health, try and pull a clutch, and boom! Full health when you level up! I just got 883k on my second go, not too shabby from my first try, which was 30k.

Is there some reason you want us all to get carpal tunnel from holding down the fire button constantly? Autofire please.

Ummm, just one tiny tidbit: in the Trophy section, I think the bronze and gold trophy colors need to be switched. Seriously, doesn't the gold trophy color look orange or a lot more bronze than the bronze trophies, and vice versa?

No mouse needed or auto fire. I really like this game. However, I am having a heck of a time managing with the mouse options I have.

@seedking Disagree with the last point. I maxed out health as soon as I had the bronze trophy, and was able to get up to level 29, 1m score, 1k kills and several other max ability badges in a single game. Health is really useful late game, because a single large enemy can knock a big chunk of your health off. If regen is maxed, you can make up that chunk so long as you can avoid enemies for a few seconds.

For those looking to get the hard badge quick(er) a good strategy is to max out Fire Spread ability first and then develop the Rapid Fire ability. These two abilities dish out the most damage over all. Lastly, I cant stress this enough: don't waste time with the blue abilities, except to get the ability master trophies, as they are too generalized and slow. Let me know if this helped anyone by giving this comment a rate up!

It's insane how stupidly effective "never move" is as a strategy. First try: moving around, collecting power-ups and pixels: 165k. Second try, rarely moving: 493k (ugh). Third try, almost never moving, concentrating on threats: 1.07M.

BOTD collectors: Try and stay still, and shoot creatures while they are further away from you. The badge is based on 500k points, which you get for shooting things. The pixels you collect are used for levelling and buying upgrades. I got to 600k points before the yellow sine-wave creatures appeared, whereas playing "properly" the tiny purple swarm creatures killed me before I got to 400k Increase your PTS and regen stats first and your fire rate and shot count second. Don't increase your magnet or pixel drops stats.

Damn, what a game, this is fun! Takes quite abit of strategy and quick thinking, but you can easily get to 500k in your first try.

Those little purple "¤(#rs!
You cant make tiny swarmers in a game where you are required to look at your surroundings.

Hey guys! Sorry for not updating you all sooner. I had assumed most of you already knew, but I see now that I was wrong. I’m still alive!
About 5 years ago I changed my studio name to the temporary “The Village Blacksmith”, or “ThatBlacksmith” on Kongregate until I finally settled on my current name “2D Heroes” in early 2013. I released a few games under each of those names on Kongregate, but eventually moved on to bigger and better things.
I’m currently streaming every weekday over on Twitch, building games for Steam, Web and potentially even Mobile. You can find my stream and more information at http://twitch.tv/2dheroes
P.S. – Pixel Purge 2 will still be a thing. I just have to find time to work on it <3

This game is the only "bullet hell" game I enjoyed. Not only enjoyed but loved. It has it all and it very smooth to play. Game mechanics are well balanced and makes you use strategy to get certain trophies. Brilliant and cant wait to see the 2nd game. Hopefully with campaign.

To all the new players of the game here is a word of advice. Go for all silver trophies as soon possible, because it gives bonus upgrade points then focus on the specific trophies that are left. Dont forget to level up (its easy to get caught up in the fun). Dont sprint around the map like crazy unless you need to, its a waste of pixels and is a great way to die an early death. Be careful of enemies that self destruct like fumes and vessels. If an enemy self destructs it will not count as a kill so make sure you keep your distance. If you arent sure if the enemy self destructed watch for pixel drop. When you need to upgrade the regen and fire spread because they will keep you alive. If you are going for quick leveling or just want more upgrade points fast upgrade pixel drop and magnet. If this helped +

I love this game. It's a frenetic bullet hell with a awesome level up system and an arcade graphic... what do you want more?
