I think they were just not making enough money to keep running, there was a lot of in-house politics too. The staff essentially split, making a new company called "Cloudcade" who made "Shop Heroes". With basically the same ideas. Unfortunately it just caused both companies to crumble in the end. Just a classic story of greed really!

What's the chances of releasing this as a standalone or something? This game was better than most. I hate to see games die. It's the great tragedy of our era.
Kind of! It's more like a tailorable database, you can set parameters such as what can you make with iron and stone only, sorted by price, or what uses acid as the only rare ingredient, stuff like that. It's just a shame the game has closed down now!

Swords and potions 2 is unlikely to be still up over the next year, so I will no longer be updating this application. I shall however leave it up, as a showcase for my work. Thanks all, I hope it was helpful :)
Not really sure what you mean, do you want to be able to copy the recipes you've selected to the clipboard? I used to have the text selectable, but turned it off because it made the UI look sloppy, but I can put it back if you'd find that helpful?
All the art has been redrawn, although that's not clear, I suppose...! Also the devs know about this application and haven't said they have a problem with it :)

Added tooltips with extra data for each recipe like knarfbot uses, also updated Mindful Staff and Ring of Conservation. Please let me know if any other recipes have changed :)

Fleece, because the GUI Elements themselves are far more developed out of the box. E.g. a scrollbar instead of up/down buttons. Spinbuttons that auto advance when holding the button, editable value, etc. you just get a lot more stuff with a lot less effort on your side. You can still work with HTML5 on konkregate: http://www.kongregate.com/html5-games I'm no all around no-flash evangelistic, but there a few cases where IMHO the choice would have been obvious. Just next time reconsider. S&P2 Toolbar still is awesome tough!
I see... I only really code in flash, while granted I know it's not the best language going though... :P I prefer the buttons, I felt a scroll bar would be too cumbersome, considering there are over 500 recipes...

Nice effort. This is one of the examples tough, where HTML5/Javascript would have been the far better choice over Flash.

Added a new button "Unlocks" which toggles recipes that have recipe unlocks or not :) Should be useful for checking how to use rares :)
Coolio :) I tend to use both myself... Kbot is awesome, I couldn't have built this without it! Mad props to Knarf! Edit: as kbot seems to be down, I've added the kbot data in as tooltips over the recipes names :)

we can sort by level,thats true but we cannot sort by using 2 or more parameters which is a bit tricky(by level and value to find best use at that level) hence i thought we could put a min level so that we can remove those recipies that we do not want to sell
I have double checked, and you can defo sort by 2 or more catagories... try clicking value, and then time, and you'll see that within time everything is sorted by value. Or, is there something else you meant?

Also,fleece it might be useful to have a min level along with the max level.It might be useful to reduce the number of recipies selected when having something specific in mind like what i should get when i level the adventurer to the next level

@volecat you can do that by selecting the rares you want to green.If you select 2 rares you can get the average price for both of them combined

If an item takes multiple rare materials, I would like some option to see the value per rare over all of them.. i.e. if I need 2 demon horns and one leaf, take the value divided by 3. Maybe there is a way to do this that I haven't figured out.
Select the green option for demon horn and for divine leaf, the program will add the total number of these resources together (3) and divide the item value by this :)

It'd be nice to be able to select a resource and then all workers and then be able to figure out the best time/value spent with that resource. Not sure if you can do that already, but it's a bit complicated to figure out. Also a reverse sort order would be nice ie: I click days, and it lists longest to shortest, but thats it, clicking it again should sort it shortest to longest.
I had that option in before release, but took it out cos I felt it was uneccessery as you can just scroll to the bottom in 1 click :P
Edit: There are now options to change value/resource to other things, including time :)

I think "Value/Res" needs some modification to be useful. I would like it to include all rares, for example rather than one at a time.
