Rate 4 stars because many words that do exist in the regular English vocabulary [[i.e. Megalomanical and Metaphrastic]] are not valid words. Even "findings" and such valid words ending in "-ings" were showing as invalid. All in all though, I think it is a good game to stimulate both vocabulary and reation timing as well as building typing skills and grammar. Although, I'd like to suggest a delete all button or short cut because it does lose time when you type a lengthly word only to find out it is invalid and then have to delete letter by letter whilst the spiders make away with your secrets.

@lynx45678: that's 7 words that came up while I was playing the game for maybe two hours, and that was only once I gut frustrated enough to complain. It's a constant stream of words it rejects wrongly, at least once or twice a game. Everybody who knows words and computers knows about moby words. It's free. If they'd bothered asking around, if they'd ever asked themselves "what's the best word list we can put in here?", they'd have come up with that or maybe something better. A few spot checks says they might have dropped the Scrabble dictionary in there, carelessly bowdlerized, and added a few big words like antidisestablishmentarianism. "Faggot" is ok, but "bitch" isn't? Careless. Uncaring. Btw, I rated this 5/5, because I do. What makes me so mad is they got all the hard parts so right and then just couldn't be bothered.

how do they not care abuot words, when they ACCIDENTALY missed 7 of them? Are you really dumb enough to think they did that on purpose?

this thing is missing a lot of words from freely available word lists. type fun and slightly offbeat words "voulge" when it's getting hot, and it says that's not word. c'mon, people, get the moby word list, v/[a-z]/d, and there you go. go ahead, mod me down for speaking harshly of these guys, but the word list in this game was put together by people who don't care about words.

what i do is just insult the spiders like this: you are a very silly group off spiders and you smell like a cheese burger laugh

Very strong concept, stunning visual style, and menu music I never ever get tired of, music that captures the style perfectly. Also plenty of challenge, brain drain, play depth, and flexibility. Five stars... but I also have some suggestions. First, less levels, as has been said; also the level layout gets a bit boring after so many levels. Add some variety there. Perhaps continue the story? He could take the machine to some other interesting locations instead of holing up in his study. These are just things to expand on, though - you have a masterful creation here.

This game is pretty cool, but I wish there was one in french (my native language)! I have an ok vocabulary in english, but it's bothersome 'cause when I enter "reflex mode", all the words that first come to mind are french ones :/

Is this where we should contact you about words that should be added to the lexicon? I used "minimal", then "minimalize" but it didn't accept minimalize. Can you add it? (and minimalized, minimalizing, etc.)

Use those hard letters. These are some of my go to words. Jazz, Quiz, Buzz, Rectify, Sly, Frazzeled, Zipper, Zig, Zag, Milk(ed), Hobbled, Viper, Power, Jester, Cave, Wives, Movers, (Micro)phone, Photo, Phase, Large, Winks, Champ(ion), Whim, Jive.
Just some to remember to help you clean out those nastly letters. Have fun!

I can't spell antidistablishmentarism on this game, its too long a word to see if I spelt it right. (I'm not even sure if I spelt it right now!)

My boiler only contained S, T, R, A, N, G, E. L, Y. This allowed me to unlock the chambers quickly, and when I'm in a tight spot, I would type 'strangely' (as long as the chambers contain these letters), which would allow me to freeze the spiders for a while. As long as you keep getting the right letters, you can freeze them indefinitely, while also putting out other damage words.
I think this is kind of an exploit =P
