If you guys are going for the impossible badge:
-There is no use to play in easy mode, as soon as the elite mode is unlocked go ahead and make the full campaign. You need to do it to access thunderstorm campaing.
-Also, the Elite campaign is a bit challenging in the beginning, once you start stacking up xp it will be very easy.
-If you have trouble beating for the first boss: Put a lot of points in accuracy, damage, reload, pick up freeze cannons+triple cannons. During the map, build structures in all slots ( i go with 5 triple cannons+2 freeze cannons (near the enemy side). It will run out of ammo before it reaches you, giving you a second turn to terminate the bastard.

The impossible badge should be called the "I stole your life" badge, because levels got so damned long by the end, I thought I'd die of old age before getting it. :/

The "secret roundabout" way for the second badge is to complete the first five levels with five stars and play the secret level (rather than the boss). You'll get the second badge that way, too. Please vote me up, so people know about the second badge alternative!

yeah i love retrying past levels twenty times so i can get more points so i can go back to other past levels, what a great game.

Even if we lose a level, we should be awarded experience. It sucks when you spend 15 minutes on a level and have nothing to show for it.

Game is not really difficult, but it's probably way too long if you are going for the impossible badge. A good tactic on later levels seems to be to focus on the clusters of balloons more or less ignoring the bigger balloons. Just let your reinforments deal with these untill you have cleared the sky of the small ones. Thunderstorm and fuel of war are no harder than the epic campaign. So may as well start with the epic one, wait a long time and then do the other campaigns (otherwise games becomes seriously boring...) Oh and i could REALLY use a couple of super monkey's here...

Every single balloon destroyed has to Hindenburg into the ground and then mushroom cloud. I don't care if it destroys my buildings, it's the only right thing to do.

Too. Friggin'. Long. Seriously, every level in the latter half takes 15+ minutes - after the first boss the game isn't even challenging, it's just an endurance test. Shoot gun, mash some support calls, occasionally plant a new turret, repeat for 5 hours. And of course the Impossible badge makes you do that THREE TIMES.
The only thing sadder than that is how despite the literally mind-numbing boredom of it, I keep playing. Stupid badges preying on my completionism...

I agree with Player609, a couple of comments below this. Cursed my ambition for the 60pts badge that makes me play that "bonus" campaigns! (which are a limited version of the long, boring main campaign with a fancy name, like a remasterization of Boredom). I would rather say that Prometheus finds more joy with his eagle affair.

No need to worry about difficulty in the Fuel of War campaign, it's probably the easiest of them all. You get to use your air support way faster, and they only cost 500 points each. Plus you start out with 5 armored oil rigs, so you'll make about a million points per level, and the bosses will be as easy as heck if you upgrade your armor and winged bombers (not that /that/ is really anything new)

If i was the last surviving balloon pilot in an entire attacking force i wouldn't keep going forward into the solid wall of flak. Oh no no. I'd turn right around and bomb my army's command post. Their commanders ought to be executed for extreme ineptitude and stupidity.

I take it these blimps are all made from some sort of mythril-adamantuim alloy? It's the only explanation as to why MISSLES and huge BOLTS OF ELECTRICITY and my FLAK CANNON have a hard time destroying them!

This game was awesome and all, but after a while it just gets to where I'm trying to burn through levels because they no longer get harder, just more annoying. It would be great if you could upgrade your buildings so that they would start at a higher veterancy for those later levels.

The secret way is getting 5 stars on the first 5 levels and it unlocks a secret level which is easier than the boss one.

I just got the impossible badge and I uhh... I think I'm a worse person for it. I'm gonna have to play a whole lot of "Bloons" before I have any kind of respect for balloons again.

As soon as I did the first level I saw the medals and heard the noise and gem craft popped into mind and I knew this would take forever so I got the hard badge quickly and I'm out.
Good game though very repetitive... needs a speedup of some kind.

Month 2: As I neared completion of the Thunderstorm Campaign, I slowly lost my will to go on. "You can do it. Do it for Shrek", I told myself. As my strength withered and my hand slowly developed carpal tunnel, I knew the 60 points were still attainable, yet so far away.

Just a quick note on Thunderstorm campaign: Have faith in Thunder globes. In short stages, they'll be pretty useless, but if you manage to max 4-5 of these babies, you're gonna rock. Seriously.

For all guys who dont wanna search long for the secret way to get the achievment:
You have to complete the first 5 Missions with 5 Stars (easy with upgraded dmg and reloadspeed and more points per kill so u dont need ur troops just ur flag cannon)

the hard badge is not that hard, just do the 3 sub-quests one by one, with reseting your upgrades if necessary between each one ;-) do it on a long enough level (14 waves), and use the asked calls as often as possible!

the 88 flak cannon was arguably the best AA artillary every made. it was so effective it was used as an AntiTank gun. you did NOT want to fly into a wall of 88 flak. good chances are you didnt make it out.

@rapmitchell I think its in england, because they were bombed by balloons in world war one. There was water in the way, thats why they didnt send in ground forces. My guess anyways...

Since balloons are flying left to right and your missions have you constantly beeing pushed right, and you are on defense, doesnt that mean you are somehow losing after each battle?

As others have said, the "impossible" badge is more of a test of endurance than talent. Don't sweat the 10,000,000 point requirement -- frankly, completing the campaign with *less* than 10,000,000 points would be the harder challenge!
