Fantastic game..love Lovecraft and trading card games. Hats off to a a great system that is not just a Mana storage clone.

If you were trying to emulate Hearthstone levels of RNG, you succeeded with the challenge system. It's simply garbage.

Challenge 15 isn't that bad. You usually die quickly, so you can play it again and again. Much worse is when you are dominating in don't go insane challenge and lose because of City of R'lyeh.

only giving 3/5 decent game but challenge mode is NOT a challenge, it just random Luck with you having insane disadvantages like starting with 5 health and no real healing cards. Decks for this need tweeked so you have at least a chance of winning.

I beat Challenge 15 fairly handily; if you manage to Blackmail into a potent healing spell, you're doing fairly well.

I don't get the people who complain about challenge 15. Sure, it took a long time, but so did others. If anything, 15 at least would mostly end on the first turn, so you don't spend ages to end up realising you forgot to check your sanity and lost because you were not allowed to go insane.

I have just earned the Impossible badge. It is not that hard, just lengthy, and a good amount of luck is required to have the right cards. You have to play the same challenge several times to win. Patience is the key.

Challenge 15 AKA "I do not know what I have done to deserve this". At some point the challenges become cruel: no longer a test of skill, but a gauntlet of suffering. The challenges cease to be "challenging" and instead become "difficult". You can complete them if you are willing to sit and suffer, making attempt after attempt to draw into the game where you will have the cards that you need to survive, but it is a task more suited to a bot than a human.

I finally succeeded in the 20th challenge!!! I have no idea what allowed me to accomplish that. My last action was Blast Them. My opponent had 1 life 1 Sanity and I had 1 sanity and under 10 life left. If it can help anyone get it.

The game is astonishingly vague about the explanations of its mechanics and a little control over your decks would have been very much welcome. As it stands, there's very little strategy involved, RNG pretty much decides everything. Two stars.

Game doesn't explain itself well. Sure, it is a card game, but all the stuff like "Arcane Power" and "Elder Defense" isn't explained to the player, neither is the use of Sanity in the game. It seems like an interesting concept, but it needs to have some sort of small tutorial to explain the significance of these mechanics. For this I give 2/5

going from meglomania to normal removes all taint and arcane, would have been nice to say something about that, you suck as a programmer

played it for a badge for the newbie guide... can't leave a fair comment cause card games that are like Magic aren't my thing. though the insanity meter seems like a neat feature instead of tapping mana pools.

*Clicks New Game* Hey it is a card game (because I did not look at tags etc) *starts to read cards*
Blackmail: Opponent chooses and Discards a card. Take another turn. That's right! I want it all, creep.
auto 3/5 from me right there

Dammit... Forgot to screenshot my name when I reached rank 30, now they won't award me my hard badge :( Took so long to get there! And why did they award my medium badge then?
