+ if you think the first two badges need to be for "beginner" difficulty AND HIGHER. It's crazy to not get the badges because you're playing on a harder difficulty!

Just wanted to throw in my support for the bumped comment about using four clerics. Couple things Ericzander didn't mention in his bumped comment: since all characters have the option to heal, the team's flexibility increases greatly. Also, since clerics can wear heavy armor and use maces, this healing flexibility comes with the added benefit of not sacrificing too much attacking or defending ability. The only thing you might consider changing is getting rid of the cleric you use for "equip dumping" and replace it with another class; I would go with ranger or rogue.

Easy way to beat the Corrupter: Just get a Rogue with Sap Strengh, use that right away, before he can make shadow guys, and keep using that to keep his power level down, and it'll just be him, he can't make shadows without power. Hope this helps!

2 badges dont seem to work for me. The corruptor badge (i beat in in hardcore, didnt get, so i beat it again in beginner and still no badge) and the impossible badge is stuck at 10 even though im pass lvl 10 on both hardcore and beginner diff...

the second one is incredibly better. the recommended section saves time and reading. also buying/selling items makes sense but overall very redundant and tedious. ugh.

The 4 clerics thing works but 4 rogues worked for me. Get the hide and sneak attack skills and you one shot all but the toughest monsters. Pump the rest of your points into poison craft and you'll tear through to level 50 in no time. + this if it helped you.

nice game with alot of items but would be better if you got out of the dungeon sometime... and if the battle graphics were better..... 3/5

Great game. Thousands of weapons, armors and other items. Great fights. I will wait few weeks and try that hardcore mode for these two badges ^^

When your internet disconnects, you re-enter battle with reduced health and energy, but your enemies gain full health back. 2/5 for an obvious oversight.

ericzander's strat is same as mine but i us either all mages or all rangers all with powerregain and lots of health. then use that spell that lets you hit multiple people. then boss battles will be over in like 1 minute sometimes with no health lost on your team if you get enough speed

this type of game isn't bad (although it's kind of annoying the sequel's hard medium badge appeared in 2 quests). it seems to combine elements of Brute Wars, and the explorations of My Pet Protector (don't know which came first, so sorry). also, if dungeons and dragons had a companion online game, this would be it.

On most of the lower difficultys, you can 1-turn the corrupter by using a Ranger, A Rouge, A Cleric, and a Warrior, in that order. 1st: Ranger uses pin, 2nd: Rouge uses cripple, 3rd: Cleric uses Anoint on Warrior, 4th: Warrior uses Overwhelm on Corrupter. No messy fighting with mirror Enimies needed.

How long does the game typically take to load? After I chose my NPC's, the game started loading and never stopped. ]:

I'm level 24 on this site, and this was the first game I played. Just now I finally got my very first impossible badge after two years on this website (don't play during summer.) I used a team of all cerlics. It is actually very easy and it wasn't very long for me (a few hours) to get to level 50 with virtually no trouble, using advice I got from here.
First cerlic was all str, second was end, third was str, and fourth was int. Throw random stuff on your first Cerlic, then armor and health regain on your second, speed and endurance on your third and power regain on your fourth. (Also, place the fourth in the middle back.) After the initil hardships of the first few floors your team becomes amazing, you'll see how. Do EVERYTHING for the first 20 levels. Then only fight bosses and avoid fights until level 30. After level 30 you can easily avoid battles and get to level 50 easily. I hope this helps guys :)

Can you get the Impossible badge on any difficulty? it doesnt say in the badge description. Also, what is the "best" possible group

Congratulations! You just won the Hardest of Core Badge and 60 points! ;D
My party didn't have the cleric (he slows down the battles). Lvl 1~15 -> Explore the entire level. Lvl 16-30 -> avoid battles, collect chests and kill the floor bosses. Lvl 30~50 -> the objective is to get to lvl 50 asap so don't waste too much time collecting loots/choosing equips.

The pathfinding and the shop were great improvements in Book of Dread, and I'm really sorry I played them out of order now. Still a pretty nice game, although the menu graphics are dissuading because lame design.
