This concept has been done before. The predecessor is better, not sure who made it. It was a few years ago and it involved an abandoned house in the woods.

very cool puzzle, but it is hard to click find things when you suddenly are in another part of the room. that should be changed! but its a cool game!!

and holy crap. i almost had a heart attack whgen the crap monster attacked. and that ending? the moment i read the diary i knew i was playing hte role of a monster but holy shit. i was still suprised. 5/5 definaltey best point-and-click game i've ever played

Uga, It's not nonsensical at all. I don't know why you would say that. It's a bit unorthodox, but it makes perfect sense within the context of the game.
