Under rating threshold (show) Nice looking game, but once the "oh, neat" factor wears off, it gets pretty repetitive. Perhaps if it had more details like, spend your own upgrade points, buy more platforms. a larger group of baddies to target. This is a good start, but it seems pretty bare bones compared to some of the games on this site.

Under rating threshold (show) Base Defense/Turret games are my favorite genre of flash game. While I enjoyed your game, I felt it left something to be desired. I don't feel involved, as the turrets level on themselves. I don't get to see what improves, or even worse, pick what improves. The 3 structure limit hinders my enjoyment also. The best combination, machine gun on 1, snipers on 2 & 3 is the pinnacle of the game. So once you have that combination, the game just remains tedious. A solid 3/5. Good work on making this game.

Under rating threshold (show) I really like the concept and the game, but man is it slow. I think you might get some more interesting turret selection if you could opt to link fire on several. Since you can only fire one, you're best off with a single cannon or machine gun and then making everything else slow-reload guns. There's no reason to ever have two machine guns or a machine gun and a cannon.

Under rating threshold (show) The damage boost multiplies your damage by a percentage. If you are all talking about the damage boost with machine gun, which you are, if you get a 20% boost to 1 damage, it's only 1.2 damage, which is rounded to 1. If you get a 20% boost to a gun that does 20 damage, you'll do 24. The damage buffer levels up, so you can get up to 50% damage with one buffer.

Under rating threshold (show) Seen some bugs too. I've had the turrets (especially machine guns) stop following th e mouse cursor - they are no longer animated and they stay that way. I've had the canon turret magically appear in the middle of the screen on two seperate occasions (just the image, its not usable). The money bug you've heard about. When you die and the game is reloaded, the old flaming turrets are still on screen, even though they shouldn't be. This makes it seem like you can't repair turrets.

Under rating threshold (show) I've logged a few hours playing this playing easy, normal, and hard. All three are boring. Hard is more challenging, but it takes longer to beat each level which drags things out far too much. I think the BEST change to make would be to add a shield (think hot air balloon powered craft) that you could fly around with the arrow keys and it could take damage for you. And make both hands busy a la triangles. Oh, and make enemies easier to kill, but more numerous. More satisfying that way.

Under rating threshold (show) LobsterMobster: Yeah, I kind of agree. If you look at the "learn more" page it's much more marketed as a donation. I'm torn, because I do think the extra content is cool and you're getting more than just a donation. But I agree that making sure people know it's more than just getting the content, it's about helping me to make better games in the future, is important.

Under rating threshold (show) You have the making of one heck of a game. I agree with XP assigned at the end of the round to the turrets you want, if you sell them or they get destroyed, oh well flak cannon does need a lot of work maybe slectable increases as mentioned earlier faster fire more damage etc... More weapons... im greedy i know Maybe an interest bank thing for players who decide to save? Purchase an "Ultimate Weapon," like slow all enemies for a short time, destroy all enemies etc and have the reload time be really long OR a one time use weapon that you have hotkeyed.

Under rating threshold (show) Asgard: You can repair fully destroyed guns just so you know. You don't need to repair them. Also, thanks for the constructive feedback. Based on all the good comments I'm getting, I'm considering releasing a v.1.5 in a few weeks with a shitload of changes.

Under rating threshold (show) Hero, I read your post in response to mine and I think the problem might be one of marketing. Instead of saying, "hey, you can buy more content!" you might say, "hey, if you donate $5, you get the special edition!" That way people think of it more as supporting you rather than (to put it very negatively) paying for "the rest" of the game.

Under rating threshold (show) p. The lack of purchasable upgrades is the most galling problem, IMHO. p. If you lose a cannon on a mid to late level the replacement doesn't have the XP built up that the lost one had. p. This makes it much more difficult to progress and there is a risk of being stymied from moving further into the game.

Under rating threshold (show) * Maybe it's just me, but the damage buff didn't seem to actually do anything. * The regular cannon and the flak cannon are just about worthless. * There should be upgrades available for purchase: rate increase, damage increase, life increase, auto targetting, etc. Then get rid of XP altogether, let XP upgrade something you can't buy, like special secondary effects, or have XP upgrade every stat (as opposed to buying an upgrade affecting a single stat). I love the flavor and want to love the game but it just feels like a polished proof of concept at this point. I look forward to version 2.

Under rating threshold (show) Lots of criticisms: * My guns should indicate their level and progress towards their next level. * There should also be something on screen showing my score: enemies killed, total xp gained, or money. * There should be something indicating how long to the end of the level. There should be level end bosses. * The little bugs that don't shoot are just dumb. Yeah, they get in the way sometimes. They are mostly just really annoying and not fun.

Under rating threshold (show) I like the steampunk setting and I like the quality of the animation, but, boy, did I start getting bored. After lengthy level after lengthy level of the same weapons I got pretty tired. When I finally splurged on a damage buff that hardly affected things at all, I quit.

Under rating threshold (show) Needs a speed increase the progression is way too slow and besides a machine gun and sniper guns theres no reason for the rest of them. The basic gun is a pain and isn't worth the trouble even when you do get it down. This game could be alot better than it is.

Under rating threshold (show) yea looks good and everything, but its boring. theres not enough choice of guns of area to place things, its a good idea but you need to expand it a hell of alot. 5/5 for looks, 5/5 for idea, but 1/5 for actuall gameplay and game depth

List of problems I encountered: the keys had a long response time some of the bullets went thru the enemy the sniper shot completely the wrong thing or it would miss for no reason its gey when your shooting and your accidently click another turret and fire a shot that takes a hour to reload weird glitch in the pause menu graphics are ok i guess gets less and less fun with every level 2/5

Under rating threshold (show) What works about this game is the art and the concept. The execution needs an overhaul. The machine gun is simply over powered in the lower levels, and possibly all the way through the game. I'm not willing to pay for content for a game like this, it just doesn't have enough depth. There's a lot that can be done here, but I wouldn't consider this a final product.

Under rating threshold (show) graphicaly, it's a superb game, but it's true that it's slow. The different turret are great, but we don't know the difference between each damage and rate of them. And what do a level up? I think it grew the speed rate, but is it all? need to put info of our turrets

Under rating threshold (show) Levels are much too long. Powerup doesn't add a perceivable advantage. Would be nice, as others have said, to see how much experience you're earning. Most of the weapons are crap...too difficult, too slow, etc. The machine gun has a HUGE advantage due simply for the ROF. Fun to play but needs work.

Under rating threshold (show) I have 85,000 just from playing the game. I have no reason to spend money. WTF. Ok, that was...pitiful. My Sniper (in the "everything shoots at it first" position) was at about....40% health and I forgot to repair going into the boss fight and....it....survived. I wasn't even TRYING. Fire a flack up top, fire a machine gun (in pos. #4) and the sniper underneath, hit it with Lightning when it first showed up....it died and keeled over and I did basically nothing and didn't even lose a turret.
